I then walk to the rack where the clothes I've washed for the Alpha's family hang and grade one of the only two t-shirts I have and a pair of pens and socks to get dressed for the day.<br /> I head to the kitchen and start making breakfast for the Luna, better known as "Modest" although she's anything but; I'm only<br /> ever to address her by Luna, the Alpha also known as "Don" except I must call him Alpha and lastly Chris, who's technically my foster brother and next in line to be the Alpha.<br /> I start with pancakes and continue to make eggs and bacon while squeezing oranges to make sure they have something to drink. It takes around an hour to two as I have to cook for the whole pack as a way to "pay" to live here.<br /> Even though I'm somewhat part of this pack, I've definitely never been a part of this family. As I grew up, I thought things would be different, especially because I would get my wolf when I turned 18, but mine never came.<br /> The Luna believes it's because I'm not deserving of a wolf, because I'm the reason my parents died, or at least she says.<br /> My parents went out on a date like they typically did one Friday a month and, because I was 13, they believed I was old enough to stay by myself. It was around 8 at night and I was in my bedroom when I started to smell smoke and when I went to open my door I saw the first floor was engulfed in flames. <br /> I called my parents to let them know and they told me to cloth the door and call the fire brigade and said that they were on the way home. Before they got to the house, the firetrucks had already arrived and saved me from the second floor and started putting out the fire. I had waited outside for them to arrive any minute but sadly they never did. Instead, A police vehicle came and told me they'd been in an accident and eventually made them take me to the hospital to see my parents' bodies after I screamed and begged them to let me see them, as I knew it would be the last time I'd ever see their faces. After I was released from the hospital I was taken to the packhouse where the Alpha and Luna took me in and said they would care for me until I was ready to be on my own.<br /> I start hearing footsteps coming down the stairs which meant that it was time to start serving breakfast.<br /> "Pancakes again, you made those like a week ago. Try mixing it up would you?" Luna Modest says as she sticks a fork in her food. "Honestly it's like you want us to kite you out," she snorts " Now honey, where would she go? she has no wolf, no education, and not even a body worth looking at" Alpha Don says as he walks over to me putting his hands on my shoulder-rubbing and lifting my arms "Look, you see all skin and bones" he drops my arms and walks away to his seat. <br /> "Callie go and get your brother and bring him down here for breakfast and you better hurry, he's got Alpha training and we don't want him to be late!" The Luna barked her orders and I headed upstairs to wake him up.<br /> I arrived at his door and could hear noises coming out. I pressed my ear against the door to see if he was already awake, as I didn't really like being around him. I couldn't make anything out so I knocked on the door.<br /> "Chris?" I called out.<br /> "Come in!" I entered seeing that he was non, lying on the bed I quickly turned around.<br /> "Chris baby..." I hear another voice call out and peek over my shoulder to see who it was, only to see a girl coming out of the bathroom non as well using a towel to dry her hair.<br /> "What is the pack maid doing here? Hurry and put some clothes on. Only I can see you like this." she commanded. "I don't want her getting any ideas she can have you!" She whines. I roll my eyes thinking I'd rather catch the plague than be with this man's whole.<br /> " Tracy! It's my room. I do what the I want" he yells back at her making her upset. I can hear footsteps approaching me from behind and a hand on my arm turning me around and then, a sudden, a smack on my face that makes me fall to the floor.<br /> "You , he never talks to me like that but all of a sudden, that you're here he does!" she cries out and then snakes me again, drawing bloom this time.<br /> "Now get out" she grades me by my hair and starts to drag me out when suddenly he yells at her to stop.<br /> I was grateful, thinking he finally was giving me mercy, knowing that I'd be 20 tomorrow and that my wolf would hopefully finally come out and that he'd start to see me as his sister, that was until...<br /> "Why'd you come in here?" he asked.<br /> "Luna wanted me to let you know you have Alpha training and didn't want you to be late" I replied, tears in my eyes holding on to my hair so the pulling didn't hurt as bad.<br /> " Okay" he looked at Tracy and told her to continue and she dragged me to the stairs and pushed me down. I let out a cry but no one came to help, something I was used to. The Alpha had instructed the pack, I was always to be left alone unless I was needed and anyone who helped me would be seen as a traitor and would be banished.<br /> I wasn't needed until lunch, so I headed to my clotht in the attic to wait and heal and prayed no one would need me for a while. I got to my room, and laid down and let myself start to cry. I kept telling myself things would change as soon as I get my wolf, then I could leave and never look back.<br /> <br /> I wake up this morning before my alarm could even go off, hoping that when the clock finally strikes 6:23 and I'm officially 20, I'll finally hear my wolf. With only 5 minutes to go, I stared at the clock in anticipation. I jump up when I start to hear someone call out to me.<br /> "CALLIE!!!" I feel my heart starting to race in excitement until I realized that it was just the Luna shouting at me from downstairs. Without even changing out of my nightclothes, which are just some old pajamas that were thrown out by a pack member, I made my way downstairs.<br /> "Good! You're awake. I need you to prepare for a celebration tonight. We are finally having Chris's Alpha ceremony as Alpha Don is ready to step down! You'll need to make the food, set up the tables, tents, chairs, the whole nine yards and, because I'm in a good mood you may have umm... three.. no two! Yes, two people will help you. Also, make sure you're not seen." She pauses eyeing me up and down, pointing at my outfit. He walked out to the car, opened it and tossed me in the back. He and Elena got in the front and he started driving. I laid there motionless until we stopped and the both of them got out. I reset my iphone back to factory mode sign in on under his accounts and left the screen on his imessages with laura so that way when he picks it up that will be the first thing he will see and he can't track me if i don't have this phone if he wanted too.<br /> I remember to grab the pregnancy test and the box so i don't leave any evidence behind about my little one he didn't want one anyway at least not with me. I was able to sneak out without the maid seeing me walked down the road a little ways where the cab was waiting for me. Help me find tessa she isn't in the bedroom or in my office, i see her phone laying on my desk and i open it up and my heart sank when it was the messages between me and laura how did she find out how to do this?<br /> I sit back in my seat with her phone gripped tightly in my hands feeling numb all over when I noticed a sticky note that I don't remember leaving there and when i read it I didn't think it was even possible for my heart to sink any further until i read that she signed them and already faxed them my heart shattered. All I could do was imagine what she went through and is going through right now, where she went to? Is she safe? How could i have been so dumb? Why didn't she even put up a fight or even beg me?<br /> Im pacing back and forth at the foot of our bed imagining her laying in her spot looking so comfortable and sound asleep with me cuddle in behind her. i still see her undressed and standing there went i look in that direction, i still can see how the bottom of her belly was poking out a little and i started to imagine what she would look like with my baby in her and when my hand automatically went there it scared her, i know she isn't pregnant her periods came on time and she takes plan b after we have intercourse.<br /> I wasn't able to sleep last night so I went back to my home office before the sun came out thats when I noticed her wedding rings was laying there and i felt something I haven't felt in a long time running down my cheeks, it has been awhile sense i have cried I've actually been pretty happy with everything until now, i slid her wedding rings onto my pinky and just stared at them while tears are flowing down my face.<br /> I cant put out a missing persons report because our marriage was a secret I didn't want her to be noticed and live a happy and normal life without anyone knowing who she is. I almost opened the door when they stop someone walking by, excuse me sir have you seen this girl? Is he having regrets? Does he know about the little one? Ive come to far im not turning myself in he probably wants me to get rid of little one if he knows it's coming and I won't take that chance no way. Kelly pulls in and they walk up to her car show her the flyer and i can tell she is trying so hard not to show it on her face, i see her shake her head no I can't hear what they are saying because they are so far away. They get into their vehicle and leave, i see her walking to my door and i hurry up and open it while hiding behind it.<br /> Girl do you know richard was just outside showing a picture of you trying to find you? Yes they knocked on my door but I didn't answer it, what is he wanting? I don't know i gave him what he wanted and he shouldn't know about little one we are the only ones that knows and i made sure to take the box and test with me, its a good thing you are getting out of here tomorrow that was way to close, yes it was I thought for sure he found me and came a hair of opening the door, don't you ever do something that dumb again, o im not promise.<br /> The next day kelly has me so made up that I don't recognize myself in the mirror, i have brown hair and she has me in a blonde wig a outfit that shows way to much of my body and my cleavage, i was just thankful I have a decent pair of flats i can run in if i have too. I put on a pair of over sized sunglasses and get on the bus and head to the bank, i walk into the bank go into the restroom and remove my wig stuff it in my big purse i fix my hair up into a messy bun and head to the tailors window. I show her my ID and my banking information i want everything out of my checking account and close my account, the tailor looks at me and smiles then whisperes i know who you are and im supposed to alert mr roads when you arrive to claim the money, please don't I just want to get my money and be on my way, don't worry i won't alert him until i see you walk out the door I can't stand laura she is making brags that she can't marry mr roads because you ran away before he could get you to sign the divorce papers, she hands me the money and i say i have signed the divorce papers and faxed the papers myself to his lawyer he is divorced and im not holding anyone up, I figured as much why else would he put 50 thousand into your checking account laura is just making up stories to make herself look good, ill be the run away wife I really don't care he is a free man what he does on his end is up to him, you better get going then before someone spots you, thank you so much she looks at me and gives me warming smile then winks.<br /> I step outside of the bank and take a last look around i plan not to step back into this city for years, i take one more big breath to calm my nerves down put on my sunglasses i start to take a step then i hear what sounded like someone slamming on their breaks, i thought someone was about to get ran over and i take a look to see what was going on when i noticed who's car it was i froze in my spot. Come on tessa get yourself together think of little one, i see a door open and richard gets out hollering my name, wait tessa i need to talk to you i shake my head no and turn around to take my steps away, tess please wait for me we need to talk, i turn to look at him and he is trying to dodge vehicles to get across the road to me and i spot my opportunity and took off running away from him and at this point instead of hollering my name he is screaming it.<br /> I spot the place where i picked to hide until he ran by me so i hide there and move a box in front of me and quite my breathing down, i hear feet coming my way running i know who it is so i hold still and hold my breath until he runs by. I wait there for 5 minutes to make sure he doesn't come back this way, i slowly moved the box and quietly left my hiding spot and ran in the opposite direction until i spoted my friends car waiting for me, i was about to step out when i noticed richards car coming towards my direction either he is in there or the driver is going to him, i check my surroundings and keep my ears pilled listening for footsteps. I watch for the car to get out of distance then i ran as fast as i could to her car got in and she stepped on the gas.<br /> Wow that was crazy and why isn't your wig on? The bank teller knew who i was and she told me that richard has been keeping a close eye on my checking account and that when i came to get out the money they was to notify him when i was there but the bank teller also told me that Laura has been going around exposing our marriage saying the only reason why richard hasn't proposed to her yet is because i ran away before he could get me to sign the divorce papers so im a run away wife thats why riachard has been looking for me, you did sign the papers didn't you? Yes how do you think i was able to get this money?
