Yes | 2024-10-15 09:54 | active | 1634 | 0 | Read next chapter | For three years, she had been a responsible wife and never slacked off. He said he would never love her. When she saw him with his first love in bed, she signed the divorce papers in desperation and left bitterly. ============= Chapter 1 Ex-girlfriend Returns Raegan Hayes was a little absent-minded at the moment. All she could think of since this afternoon was the doctor's words. "Congratulations! You are going to be a mom." Suddenly, Mitchel Dixon pinched her arm. His low voice came the next second. "Come back to earth. What are you thinking about?" Mitchel was her husband. They had been married secretly for two years. He was her superior at work, the president of the Dixon Group. Everything had happened so fast. She was newly employed in the company when they unexpectedly got married. At that time, Mitchel's grandfather fell seriously ill. It was then he proposed a fake marriage just to fulfill his grandfather's dying wish. They signed a prenup, agreeing to hide their marriage from the public. Their union could be terminated at any time. It was an unconventional thing to do. However, Raegan only considered herself lucky at that time. Never in a million years did she think she would ever get married to the man she had a crush on for eight years. She delightfully agreed. After their marriage, Mitchel was very busy. He spent most of his time working. Raegan wished she could spend more time with him at home. However, she was rest assured because there hadn't been any rumors or scandals about him with women in the past two years. Except for his mild indifference, Mitchel was a perfect husband. Raegan had mixed feelings as she stared at the medical report. In the end, she decided to tell Mitchel this news. She also wanted to tell him that she hadn't learned about him for the first time two years ago and that she had been crushing on him for many years before then. Just then, Mitchelโs phone rang. He went to the balcony and answered the phone. Raegan checked the time and found that it was already midnight. She felt a little uneasy. Who would call Mitchel at this hour? Mitchel spent a few minutes on the balcony. Thereafter, he returned and changed into formal attire. His handsome face which had a clear outline made him look dignified. He was something to see now. "Don't wait up for me. Good night," he said finally. What? He was on his way out? At this hour? Raegan's grip on the report tightened as she stared at him in disappointment. Unconsciously, she withdrew slightly. After thinking for a while, she blurted out, "It's already so late." Mitchel's fingers froze on his tie. With a faint smile, he pinched her earlobe and said, "Be good, okay? There's something I have to do. Don't wait up." With that, he headed for the door. "Mitchel." Raegan quickly ran and caught up with him. Mitchel turned around and looked at her seriously. "What's the matter?" There was a tinge of coldness to his voice. An icy cloud hung over them as they stared at each other. A little distressed, Raegan asked in a low voice, "I would like to visit my grandma tomorrow. Can you accompany me there?" Her grandmother always wanted to see her. As a result, Raegan wanted to take Mitchel there to assure her grandma they were happy. "Let's talk about it tomorrow, okay?" Without agreeing or declining, Mitchel left in a hurry. Several thoughts were threading Raegan's mind. She couldn't sleep a wink. After tossing and turning for a long time, she went to the kitchen and made herself a warm glass of milk. A few notifications from some online blogs came into her phone. However, she wasn't interested in them. She was about to swipe them away when one of them caught her attention. The familiar name made her click on it. The news read, "Famous designer, Lauren Murray was spotted at the airport with her mysterious boyfriend earlier today." Lauren was wearing a bucket hat. The man's figure was vague, but the outline of his body was enough to show that he was dashing. Raegan zoomed in on the picture. The next second, her heart dropped. Mitchel was the man in the picture! So, he canceled the afternoon meeting just to go pick up his ex-girlfriend from the airport? This realization settled like a boulder in Raegan's gut, rendering her flustered. Her hands trembled. Subconsciously, she dialed Mitchel's number. The dial tone brought her back to her senses. Just as she was about to hang up, the line connected, and a voice came from the other end. "Hello!" It was a particularly gentle woman's voice. Raegan froze for a second and then threw the phone away. She suddenly felt sick in her stomach. Covering her mouth, she ran into the bathroom and threw up in the toilet bowl. The next morning, Raegan went to work on time. Mitchel had tried to get her to stop working after they got married. Stubbornly, she insisted on making her own money. Mitchel didn't kick against her decision, but he asked her to work as his assistant, helping him with the daily chores. The head assistant, Matteo Jenkins was left to take care of the major affairs Mitchel had. Matteo was the only Dixon Group employee who knew about their marriage. Since inception, only male assistants were hired for the president's office. Reagan was the first and only female. Her employment broke the protocol. As a result, other workers couldn't help but wonder if she was involved with Mitchel. It took a while before they realized that Mitchel never gave Raegan special treatment. Strangely, this made them despise her even more. After all, no one would last long in anything while taking advantage of their looks. At this time, one of Raegan's colleagues handed her a document and ordered her to take it to Mitchel's office. Mitchel didn't return home last night. Raegan was so worried that she didn't sleep at all. All she kept thinking about was the woman who answered his phone when she called. What was her relationship with Mitchel? Raegan already knew the answer to that, but she was still in denial. It was difficult for her to come to terms with that fact. Raegan tried to remain calm now. She reasoned that no matter what happened, she deserved a result that would be rewarding for all the years she spent loving Mitchel. This couldn't be all for nothing, right? She pressed the elevator button calmly and went up to the president's office. Before she walked out of the elevator, she smoothed her hair to make sure she looked good. She had arrived at the office, only to see that the door was ajar. A man's voice came. She halted instantly. "Come on, man! Do you have any feelings for Raegan or not?" The voice belonged to Luis Stevens, a childhood friend of Mitchel's. "What do you mean exactly?" Mitchel asked in a cold voice. "You know exactly what I mean!" Luis clicked his tongue impatiently and added, "I think Raegan is a good girl. Isn't she your type?" "Do you want me to hand her over to you?" Mitchel asked carelessly. "You know what, forget it!" The scornful laughter of Luis sounded particularly harsh in Raegan's ears. They were talking about her as if she were an object. Raegan took a deep breath and tightened her grip on the document. Soon, Luis's voice was heard again. "By the way, I saw the gossip news about Lauren's mysterious boyfriend this morning. That was you, right?" "Yes." "Well, well, well! That woman still has you wrapped around her little finger. You always want to please her." Luis sighed and continued to tease Mitchel. "As the old saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Tell me, did you two..." Their conversation was like a thunder exploding over Raegan's head. Her face turned pale and her body was as cold as ice. The woman was indeed Lauren! Absence made the heart grow fonder! Every word drove a knife into her heart. Several whispering voices filled her head at this time. She suddenly felt light-headed. Her vision became blurry. She held the wall and took a step backward. Suddenly, the door was opened from inside. "Raegan?" Chapter 2 One-sided Love Luis was the one who opened the door. It appeared he was on his way out. Raegan balled her hands, turned to him, and nodded. "Hey, Mr. Stevens!" Without waiting for him to respond to her greeting, she walked past him and entered the office with the document. Mitchel was seated behind a large luxurious desk. In an expensive suit and matching tie, he looked particularly handsome. Raegan noticed it wasn't the same suit he had on when he left home last night. How did he get changed? With her eyes lowered, she swallowed that question and said instead, "Mr. Dixon, this is from the Marketing Department. Please sign it." Mitchel was expressionless as he signed the document at a glance. Raegan walked out the door as soon as he handed the document back to her. Luis was still standing at the threshold. It wasn't until she went out of sight that Luis turned to Mitchel and said in a hushed tone, "Do you think she heard us?" Mitchel's appealing eyes were expressionless at the moment. Obviously, he wasn't paying attention to what Luis was saying. To Mitchel, Raegan had always been docile and never felt jealous of anyone. Her strict obedience was all Mitchel demanded from her in exchange for treating her well. In the elevator. Raegan held her breath just to hold back her tears. Unfortunately, it didn't work. She had thought two years would be enough for Mitchel to realize how much she loved him and reciprocate her love. Now, it turned out that was just a pipe dream. She realized she would always play second fiddle to Lauren, Mitchel's true love. Reagan wiped her tears when the elevator halted. Save for her pale face, she looked normal when the doors opened. She dragged herself to the break room, intending to make herself a cup of tea. Several employees were chatting inside. "Guys, have you heard? Lauren Murray is back." "And who is that?" "Oh, my! You don't know her? Lauren is the heiress of the Murray Group as well as a world-class designer. Most importantly, she's the only girlfriend Mr. Dixon has ever shown off in public. She's his first love!" "Why is her return such a big deal? Isn't it rumored that there is something between Mr. Dixon and Raegan?" "Raegan? She's nothing to Mr. Dixon. Mr. Dixon never admitted that he was dating her. And that is no surprise to me. After all, look at her. She's not even that beautiful. Yet, she behaves as if she's already Mrs. Dixon. What a fool!" Standing at the door, Raegan smiled with self-mockery as she listened to them. It turned out everyone else saw the truth except her. The love was one-sided. "Ha-ha, have you finally woken up from your wild dream, Raegan?" A voice of mockery suddenly came from behind. Raegan turned around to see Tessa Lloyd, Mitchel's cousin, who had always despised her. Tessa must have also heard the employees gossiping. The last thing Raegan wanted to do now was argue with Tessa in the company. She turned to leave, but Tessa blocked her way. With a cup of coffee in her hand, Tessa uttered sarcastically, "Lauren is back now. Do you think Mitchel will still give you any attention?" Raegan said nothing to that. Seconds later, Tessa continued the ridicule. "Maybe itโs time for you to seek out another man, you pathetic fool." Raegan clenched her fists and said coldly, "Ms. Lloyd, if you are interested in that kind of thing, feel free to pursue it yourself." "You..." Raegan's retort made Tessa's face change. The next second, Tessa raised her hand and emptied the cup of coffee on Raegan. Raegan didn't think for a second that Tessa would do something so crazy. She held up her arms just to block the liquid from her face. In no time, the coffee drenched her clothes. Raegan frowned. "What did you do that for? Are you out of your mind?" It was lunch break and many employees were free to watch the drama. Tessa was even more complacent when she saw growing onlookers. She put on a mean-girl look as she said, "What makes you so smug every day, huh? Do you seriously think that others don't know you are just an orphan? The nerve of..." Tessa was silenced by Raeganโs shove. Her jaw dropped to the floor. She had never expected that Raegan, who was so quiet and timid, would shove her. Tessa stuttered, "You... You pushed me? How dare you!" Raegan eyed her and replied, "Yes, I did! It seems you need to be taught simple politeness." Indeed, she lost her parents when she was a child. But that didn't mean she would allow someone to walk over her for it. Wrinkles appeared on Tessa's face as she frowned in anger. As Mitchel's cousin, she was used to being fawned over and respected. This was the first time she had been treated like this. Tessa charged at Raegan like a raging bull, poised to retaliate. This time, Raegan was fully prepared for what was coming. She grabbed Tessa's wrist so that the latter couldn't move another inch. Tessa was shorter than Raegan. As a result, she struggled like an octopus that had one of its tentacles stuck in a fishing trap. Tessa cursed angrily, "How dare you put your hands on me? Who do you think you are?" These harsh words attracted more people to the break room. "That's enough!" Out of the blue, a baritone came from behind. Mitchel had left his office and ran into this hullabaloo. The entire room fell silent. "Mitchel?" Tessa's blood ran cold at the sight of Mitchel. She had always been scared of him. Her mother also warned her against provoking him. But when she remembered that Raegan humiliated her, she put on a pitiful expression and sobbed. "Mitchel, she bullied me." The sunlight from outside fell on Mitchel's handsome face. Raegan felt so grieved all of a sudden, and lowered her head to look at her clothes which were soaked with coffee. Their gaze met in the air. With a deep frown, Mitchel looked at Raegan and said, "Raegan, have you forgotten the rules of the company?" His ruthlessness made Raegan's breathing cease. She couldn't believe her ears. No one dared to make a sound at this moment. Raegan just stood straight there with her slender figure. When she got employed here, Mitchel had told her that the Dixon Group wasn't a place for her to mess around and that he would not tolerate her making any mistakes. Raegan could understand why he took this stand. However, at this moment, she was desperate to know whether Mitchel had heard those hard words Tessa scolded her or he was just pretending not to have heard because he agreed to those words. Was she truly insignificant to him? Scared to death by Mitchel's rage, the crowd soon dispersed. A few employees were bold enough to peep from a distance, unwilling to miss the good show. Mitchel's cold eyes made Raegan shiver from head to toe. Raegan pinched her palm to suppress her emotions as she looked at Tessa. "I'm sorry, Ms. Lloyd. As an employee of the Dixon Group, it was wrong of me to have offended you." Eyeing Raegan, Tessa raised her chin complacently. "Humph! Don't think you'll be let off the hook just by making a simple apology. I don't buy..." "The offence has nothing to do with the company. Personally, I refuse to apologize to you. Now, if you'd excuse me," Raegan chimed in. She then walked past Mitchel without sparing him another look. "You..." Tessa's face turned blue after hearing what Raegan said. Never in her years of being alive had she been so humiliated. She was always the bully, not the victim! The humiliation was so much that scolding Raegan wouldn't appease her anger. Pointing in Raegan's direction, Tessa shouted, "Mitchel, did you hear what that woman just said? She humiliated me, yet she's still so arrogant. Call her back. I have to teach her some manners!" Mitchel, staring at Raegan's thin back, had an ambiguous expression at this moment. "Enough!" he said coldly, raising his hand. As someone who lived and breathed drama and cruelty, Tessa didn't think Mitchel was partial to Raegan just now. She assumed that Mitchel didn't care about Raegan at all. Tessa gritted her teeth and said viciously, "Next time, I'll get someone to teach her a lesson." "Tessa!" Mitchel's tone and squint made it a reproof. Tessa trembled at once. With a somber face, Mitchel said, "I'll only say it once. Forget about what happened here today. Leave Raegan alone." The aura he exuded made her tongue go dry. All the vicious ideas she had in store against Raegan disappeared in an instant. She stammered, "Ok... Okay, got it..." Mitchel cast a cold glance at her and spoke to Matteo. "Irrelevant people wouldn't be allowed in here from today onwards." Without catching the drift, Tessa flattered Mitchel. "Nice call. This is a top company. Not everyone gains access in here." Matteo nodded to Mitchel and then walked over to Tessa. He gestured to the exit. "Ms. Lloyd, this way, please." It wasn't until this moment that Tessa realized that she was the irrelevant person Mitchel just mentioned. She tried to speak to him, but Matteo blocked her way. The security guards then escorted her out. They showed her no mercy. Her struggle was useless. Meanwhile, Raegan got changed when she returned to her office. Her heart was filled with sadness as she thought of how Mitchel looked at her minutes ago. Closing hour soon rolled by. Raegan took her bag and headed for the exit. However, Matteo stopped her. He said, "Mr. Dixon has something urgent to deal with, so he asked me to drive you home." Raegan declined the ride without thinking twice. She was blind before, but now she could see through the situation. In Mitchel's eyes, she was just a nobody. How could Mitchel agree to accompany her to visit her grandmother when he didn't even care about her? Upon arriving at the hospital, Raegan saw that the nurse was about to feed her grandmother dinner. Raegan took the job over and did it by herself. All her life, her grandmother had been living in the countryside, enjoying a quiet life. Everything changed last month when her routine medical checkup showed that she was in need of medical care. Raegan insisted on bringing her to the city for better treatment. Her grandmother wasn't aware of her marriage to Mitchel. Raegan had planned to surprise her today. But as it turned out, that was no longer necessary. Raegan waited for her grandmother to fall asleep before she left. She walked out of the hospital and waited for a taxi. In the distance, a black luxury car pulled into the entrance of the hospital. Raegan's eyes lit up when she saw it. She recognized that car as Mitchel's. Did he come to pick her up? At this moment, she forgot all the pain she had been feeling. Were her thoughts about him all wrong? Did he care for her, contrary to the gossip? The door of the driver's side opened and Mitchel got out. Raegan started walking toward him with her heart brimming with joy. Suddenly, she stopped dead in her tracks. Mitchel had just walked over to the other side and carried a woman out of the car. Worry and compassion were written all over his handsome face. This wiped the smile on Raegan's face. Her heart sank. Chapter 3 Let's Divorce Mitchel's tall and straight figure got closer and closer to Raegan. And then, without saying a word, he strode past Raegan. It was hard to tell if Mitchel saw Raegan or just ignored her. Regardless, Raegan noticed that the woman in his arms was the same one who had been photographed with him yesterday. She was Lauren. Raegan's shoes felt like they were made of lead as she walked away. She lost all awareness of her surroundings. She got into a taxi absentmindedly. Suddenly, the driver uttered, "Ma'am, where to?" Raegan was stunned for a moment. She didn't want to go back to Serenity Villas. It was only a matter of time before that place stopped being her home. After a while, she replied, "Please take me to Crystal Bay." She had purchased an apartment at Crystal Bay after getting married to Mitchel. At the time, she had hopes of bringing her grandmother to the city, so she bought the apartment on mortgage. It wasn't that big, but it had more than enough space for two people. Mitchel didn't understand why she wanted to buy an apartment. He offered to give her a bigger one, but she declined. Looking back now, she realized that buying that apartment was the only wise decision she had ever made in the last two years. When she arrived at the apartment complex, Raegan sat in the park alone, trying to cool herself down. The memories of the past two years were bittersweet. Two years had passed in the blink of an eye even though it was more than seven hundred days and nights. Love could move mountains, they said. Yet, her love didn't move that stone of a man. She finally realized what a fool she had been. She had been making herself a laughingstock in front of everyone. It was already late in the night before Raegan finally decided to go into her apartment. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Mitchel standing in front of the door. His sleeves were rolled up casually, and the top buttons of his shirt were undone, which revealed his long neck and part of his collarbone. He was leaning on the wall by the door, his handsome face straight. Raegan froze for a moment. Why was he here? Didn't she see him at the hospital with Lauren? What brought him here? Their eyes met. With his coat draped over his arm and one of his hands in his pocket, Mitchel squinted at her. "Why didn't you answer the phone?" he asked, sounding a little grumpy like someone who hadn't slept in a long time. Raegan took out her phone and saw she had accidentally put it on DND. There were five missed calls from Mitchel. This marked the first time in their two-year marriage. Mitchel blew up her phone because he couldn't find her? Surprising! Before today, she would have been overjoyed by this. People would've thought she won the lottery. But now, she just threw her phone back into her bag, folded her arms, and said in a hoarse voice, "I didn't hear it ring." Mitchel raised his hand to check the time on the watch, and said impatiently, "I've been looking for you for two hours." After arranging everything for Lauren, he returned home to find an empty house. He looked for Raegan everywhere. When he couldn't find her, he asked Matteo to check the surveillance footage of all the roads that led away from the company. He later found out that Raegan went to Crystal Bay without telling him. "Next time, tell me when you are coming here, okay? Let's go home now." After that, Mitchel walked toward the elevator without sparing her another glance. He meant to go back to Serenity Villas. Raegan didn't move an inch. She just stared at his broad back and pondered reluctantly. Would they have a future? Mitchell turned around, only to see that Raegan hadn't taken a single step. He frowned and asked, "Can't you walk? Do you want me to carry you instead?" The light in the corridor illuminated his face, making his side profile almost impeccable. Raegan took a deep breath and said, "Let's divorce." "What do you mean?" Mitchel's voice was cold, and his handsome face changed immediately. "I want to move into my own place. After all, we will be strangers soon." Raegan forced a smile, but her heart was aching as if someone was tearing it apart bit by bit. "We will be strangers?" Mitchel smiled coldly. "Raegan, what do you think our relationship is now?" His questioning left Raegan stunned for a moment. Mitchel had made it very clear to her from the very beginning. This facade of their marriage had happened by mutual agreement. There was no love. In the eyes of others, they were nothing more than just a superior and a subordinate. Mitchel was quite the catch in Ardlens. Many young ladies longed for his love and were even willing to throw themselves at him. His question just now reminded her of that fact. Was he afraid that she wouldn't let him go that easily? If that was the case, he couldn't be more wrong... After biting her lower lip to conceal her bitterness, Raegan said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Dixon. I was giving it too much thought. Anyway, please leave me alone from now on. You don't have to come here again." After saying that, Raegan couldn't help but burst into tears. How could she not be sad when she was cutting ties with the man she had loved for a decade? It was such a long time. Regardless of how difficult it was, she knew it was time to let go. It was high time she stopped being a fool. Strangely, the light in the corridor began flickering. The deathly stare Mitchel was giving Raegan right now made the atmosphere seem like the moment before an attack in a horror movie. Although he understood that Raegan sometimes could throw a tantrum, he felt that she had just crossed the line now. His eyes shone like blazing torches at this moment. But when he saw the tears in her eyes, the rage inside him extinguished in an instant. He said in a low voice, "If this is about what happened between you and Tessa, I..." "No, this isn't about her. Mr. Dixon, please leave now." A lot of things happened between them. And the incident with Tessa didn't come close to any. Raegan felt exhausted. She passed by Mitchel and was about to open the door. Yet, Mitchel was displeased with her stubbornness. He loosened his tie irritably. He then took a step forward and grabbed her wrist. "Stop this, will you?" A second later, he put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her into his arms. He instantly realized that she was burning up like someone who had been set on fire. "You have a fever?" Raegan felt dizzy. She rested her head on his chest weakly. This made the whole situation complicated. Reagan was slow to catch that. When she finally realized that her body was too close to his, she put her hands against his chest and tried to pull back. Before she could escape, Mitchel pulled her back and held her by the waist. With a cold face, he said in a low voice, "Where do you think you are going?" The light flickered again. Out of the blue, Mitchel lifted her up. He then headed for the elevator. In a daze, Raegan asked softly, "What are you doing?" "What does it look like I am doing?" Mitchel remarked. "Taking you to the hospital, of course." "No way!" Raegan cried out in surprise and seemed to regain more strength. Mitchel might find out about her condition if they went to the hospital. Raegan struggled to get out of Mitchel's arms. However, his tight grip made her efforts fruitless. "Don't be so stubborn. You are sick, so you must see the doctor," Mitchel said firmly. He walked to the elevator with her in his arms. At this moment, Raegan's heart was thumping so hard that it could jump out of her chest. She flailed in protest. "Put me down! I don't want to go to the hospital!" &2& | LEARN_MORE | https://fbweb.moboreader.net/46526322-fb_contact-e | Good Story | https://www.facebook.com/100090635329790/ | 225 | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | Learn more | 0 | fbweb.moboreader.net | VIDEO | https://fbweb.moboreader.net/46526322-fb_contact-enj57-1125-core1.html?adid={{ad.id}}&char=331118&accid=233925549638247&rawadid=120212628934270604 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/462890641_1067084178147887_5915479363264114709_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s60x60&_nc_cat=108&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=jf0SIbFts-EQ7kNvgHa4YG_&_nc_zt=14&_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-1.xx&_nc_gid=AACyf7V564rV8OY-SFKc7Tg&oh=00_AYD1l20tIVDXxdaCzP8GkG8Dx6q3dLUeAOmvLsccIR5urw&oe=671441D0 | PERSON_PROFILE | 0 | 0 | 0 | Good Story | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | View Edit Delete

Read more | My husband is deeply in love with his first love. When I told him jokingly that I was pregnant, he told me seriously: "You can't have this baby." I loved him, but I didn't want to love him blindly, so I ran away. Nine months later, when I was giving birth to my baby in a small-town hospital, I got a call from a friend, "You know what? Your husband found out you were crazy." ============= Chapter 1 Ex-girlfriend Returns Raegan Hayes was a little absent-minded at the moment. I don't want to go to the hospital!" | WATCH_MORE | https://fbweb.moboreader.net/46526322-fb_contact-e | Delighted Reading | https://www.facebook.com/100093179042627/ | 8,203 | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | Watch more | 0 | fbweb.moboreader.net | IMAGE | https://fbweb.moboreader.net/46526322-fb_contact-enj57-1125-core1.html?adid={{ad.id}}&char=066827&accid=1136562474144993&rawadid=120213852390870533 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | https://scontent-lga3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/462890206_1066835875119579_554825955953539783_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s60x60&_nc_cat=100&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=5a4jmIhr6moQ7kNvgEFnx-a&_nc_zt=14&_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-2.xx&_nc_gid=AW1ucEZX8J0LsxF3Q-mKJtu&oh=00_AYDYHQLI0qN_cwTD9c2GQayOEvlqn36lKvByojsSVkwPeg&oe=67146806 | PERSON_PROFILE | 0 | 0 | 0 | Delighted Reading | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | View Edit Delete

Yes | 2024-10-15 09:54 | active | 1634 | 0 | ๐๐Click To Read On | I had been awake since before the sun rose. Sleep was never something that came easy to me. I often found myself staying up later than everyone else or waking up earlier just to have a few moments of peace. To have quiet time where I could pretend like my life was normal. Or I could pretend that I wasnโt always so sad and hurting all of the time. I sat on my window sill and watched as the world outside came to life. It was beautiful. The birds and animals outside looked free and happy. Even the flowers bloomed with bright colors and looked careless as they blew in the breeze. I envied them greatly. More than anything I longed to be free. To have any moment feeling so careless and happy. I finally got off the ledge when the alarm on my phone rang softly on my nightstand. I grabbed a rubber band from my dresser and threw my long hair up in a tight ponytail. I grabbed my sweater and backpack before heading out. I was going to be late if I didnโt get out to the kitchen soon. There would be hell to pay for that. The regular interactions I encountered with the Luna and my four adoptive brothers were torture enough. I didnโt need to go making things worse for myself. I was not a glutton for punishment. As I moved through the halls, I couldnโt believe it had almost been five years since I had been brought here. I was, of course, extremely grateful to my adoptive father, Alpha Angus, but in a lot of ways it was almost easier growing up on the streets and shifting between foster homes. I was brought to this castle in hopes that I would join the family and be accepted here but my adoptive mother and brothers made it clear that was never going to happen. I always had bullies and tough people on the streets and in foster homes. At least there I felt more equipped to defend myself. Hereโฆ well, how could I fight back against the Luna of a pack? Much less her four sons. Jane and Myraโthe hired cooking staffโwere already working in the kitchen, getting things ready and prepared. It already smelt delicious. I could see the crockpot was already started for dinner. My stomach growled. โGood morning, ladies. How are we doing today?โ I asked, grabbing my apron and tying it on. My voice was flat and low. I had no need to pretend with them. They both understood how difficult things could be in this house. Both of them exchanged a strange look before smiling awkwardly back at me. I felt a knot build up in my stomach. โWhat is it?โ โThe boys have requested breakfast burritos againโฆโ Jane answered. I sighed and rolled my eyes. Creating meals for my adoptive brothers had always been the worst. They delighted in making extremely complicated orders and insisted I remake things when they werenโt quite โperfectโ enough. Often I would make something and they would try to gaslight me by insisting that was not what they had ordered. Who was I to question them? Insulting my cooking was a regular and they would all question how such a โfatโ person could be so bad at making food. If I paid any attention to their bullying I would have several complexes about myself. โLet me hear it,โ I said with a dramatic sigh. I leaned against the counter and closed my eyes to listen. This was always the worst part. I knew Myra and Jane felt sympathetic but it didnโt help. Myra gave me an apologetic glance and began to read off the orders from the kitchen iPad. She rambled through the ridiculous concoctions the boys came up with and I let out a scoff with a dramatic eye roll more than once. I should be used to this by now but every day they still manage to get on every nerve that I had. โWell, they are creative, Iโll give them that,โ I sneered. Both my friends chuckled as we started. โAnd hot. They might be the hottest guys Iโve ever hated,โ Jane teased. We all laughed again. Jane was correct in saying that they were attractive. All of them were stunning and couldโve been models. Which almost made it that much worse. I would be lying if I said I hadnโt thought about each of them at some point or another. But their awful treatment toward me erased the stars as soon as they came into my mind. We cooked and prepared until things were ready. Jane and I headed out to the living room where the boys were waiting. Zek, the eldest and most intellectual, was sitting in his usual spot reading some obnoxiously complicated textbook. Dylan was sprawled out on the loveseat reviewing texts and matches from random bimbos on the Internet. I choke back vomit. Lionel and Ger were arguing and cussing at each other while playing a violent and childish video game. I expected nothing less. These four boys had a knack for acting like they ruled the world. And in some ways they did. They were spoiled and arrogant. They were never given any ounce of responsibility, and yet someday they would be responsible for the entire pack. The thought was unsettling, to say the least. We wordlessly placed their burritos down. I hoped to leave before any of them had a chance to comment. I had almost made it out of the room when Ger called back after me. His voice startled me and for a moment stopped me in my tracks. โGoodness, Rhea, how many of the ingredients did you sample before filling these burritos? Or are you just stuffing shit straight into your pants now? Look at the ass jiggle!โ he called out with a giggle. His brothers laughed as well, calling me โfat assโ and โbubbler buttโ. I rolled my eyes and headed to the kitchen. I did not have a lot of experience hanging out with other girls or knowing what was considered โattractiveโ. I knew well enough to know that I couldnโt trust the boys were always telling me the truth. They delighted in making me feel terrible. But still, their comments often stuck with me and I hated that. There was always a little voice in the back of my mind wondering if I truly was fat and ugly. I thought thatโd be the end of it. I only had about 15 minutes before it was time for school. I tried to forget about what the boys had said, I tried to think about school or anything else. I sat at the little kitchen table and started eating my own food. But I was quickly interrupted as all four boys piled into the room. My breath caught in my throat. โHiding in the kitchen, I see?โ Ger commented. โIโm just eating breakfast. I've moved away from youโฆ What else do you want?โ I asked, trying not to sound as timid as I felt. โWe just want to make sure you remember your place, chunky girl. Our father brought you here but youโre not special. Youโre not a part of the family,โ Lionel snarled. These were regular comments that I had heard continually since coming here. I stared at them blankly. Apparently, they wanted to make certain that all of their words and their insults sunk in. There was no room for confidence here. โYeah, thatโs why Iโm eating in the kitchenโฆโ I answered dryly. Lionel narrowed his eyes on me. โAre you sassing me?โ I swallowed hard. โAre you sure you really need such a big breakfast? I mean, look at you. If you keep eating no one will want you,โ Dylan chimed in with a wicked smirk. โDoes it really matter? Clearly, already no one wants her. Her own parents didnโt even want her,โ Ger joked. They all laughed. I frowned and tried not to let them see how hurt I really was. Dylan grabbed my plate and threw it toward the sink. It shattered and bits of porcelain flew around the room. I sighed knowing Myra or Jane would have to clean that up when we all left. I would have to apologize to them later. Having me here seemed to be a big inconvenience for everyone. I wondered if Alpha Angus recognized that. I doubted it. The boys continued to laugh and make other jokes. I continued to pretend like it didnโt affect me. It was continually hard whenever they brought up my parents. I still had no idea who my parents were or why they had abandoned me. I was certain that Alpha Angus knew more than he was saying about where I came from. But I also knew he wasnโt about to share any of that with me. The more he kept secrets the more I felt it must be something truly awful. Maybe they really didnโt love me. โBoys, come now weโre going to be late!โ Luna Simona stood in the doorway to the kitchen. โGoodness, look at this mess! Rhea, you are just impossible. Are you so incompetent that you canโt create a few simple breakfasts without making such a mess? You are so lucky that my husband took pity on you, though I still canโt imagine why. You are not even fit to be a servant in this house.โ Her words were dripping with disdain. She looked at me as she always didโlike a black stain on her otherwise perfect life. โIโm sorry, maโam,โ I replied begrudgingly. She rolled her eyes and sighed. I felt frustrated and awful. My stomach hurt and growled. โNever mind that now, you can clean it after school. Though why we bother to educate you at all Iโll never know. Itโs clearly not having an effect on you since you canโt even manage to clean the house or do your chores without making things worse or breaking things. The bus is coming, so hurry along, girl. Boys, Professor Stalling is waiting to give you your daily lessons.โ I untied my apron and headed out the door. My stomach grumbled as I moved on the way. I hoped Iโd be able to get something from a vending machine before my first class. As I passed my adoptive mother she sighed, sounding exasperated. I tried not to let it affect me and I continued walking. I wanted to be tough. I wanted to be confident and not let their torments affect me. But the truth was I felt small all the time. I felt worthless and ugly. The more I thought about my parents and my childhoodโbouncing around from place to placeโthe more I thought maybe the boys were right. Maybe I was unlovable and no one would ever want me. I tightened my jaw to keep myself from crying and headed out the door to wait for the bus. The brisk air was making it harder to keep my tears restrained. I didnโt want to start crying before I went to school. I didnโt need other students to see what a hot mess I was. I didnโt need to be tortured and tormented in school any more than I already would be. As I stood on the corner and waited for the bus, I promised myself that I would get out of this place. I daydreamed about a beyond the Horace family, and a future free from the torture that I endured every day. I imagined finding a mate who really loved me and took care of me. Someone who would defend me against anyone who would try to bully me again. Those thoughts almost made me feel more sad. I felt certain that I would never find such a magical person. I would never find a mate. But I would, I swore to myself, find a way to escape this torturous existence. Chapter 2 The Alpha Female I climbed onto the bus and kept my head down. Everyone stared at me, putting their backpacks on empty seats as I passed. I found an empty seat in the back and took it quickly. I looked out the window and avoided the looks and whispers from the other students. Everyone knew who I was and everyone knew how I was treated. It had been worse when the Horace brothers were still in school. It almost gave the other students license to mock me and tease me just as ruthlessly. Now they mostly just talked about me behind my back, which was easier to ignore. Everyone except Anastasia, who seemed to think it was her mission to make sure I continued to suffer just as much as I would have if the boys were still in school. Part of me wondered if she blamed me for the twins breaking up with her. It was possible. Though she should have known better than to think that Dylan, at least, would have settled down with her. โHello,โ came a new voice I hadnโt heard before, โis this seat taken?โ I looked up to see a pretty girl with golden hair smiling down at me. I raised a curious eyebrow. I hadnโt seen her before but if she went to our school there was no way she didnโt know who I was. โUm, sure?โ I answered, feeling confused. Her smile grew wider as she sat down. โIโm Emma,โ she started. โIโm new. I just transferred here. Whatโs your name?โ โRhea. I feel like I should warn you. You wonโt make many other friends sitting next to me. They might bully you right alongside me. I wonโt be offended if you want to consider changing seats,โ I admitted. Her expression softened and she looked at me like she thought I was exaggerating or lying. โThatโs all right, Iโm sure itโs not as bad as all thatโโ Before she could say anything else, she was interrupted by a shrill laugh. I rolled my eyes and looked forward to see her standing there in all her glory. Anastasia Duchannes. โWhat in the world is this?โ she asked loud enough that the entire bus could hear. She made her way back toward us, keeping her sharp green eyes locked on me. โYou actually found someone to talk to you?โ Now she turned her eyes on Emma. โYou must be new. Let me help you out, sugar. You donโt want to go making friends with the wrong sort of people. That one there, sheโs the wrong sort of people. Since youโre new, Iโll let this slide. Feel free to choose another seat.โ Emma looked at me and seemed a bit shocked. I shrugged sympathetically. I had tried to warn her. โI told you I wonโt be offended,โ I replied to Emmaโs unspoken question. โWhat could you have possibly done to warrant such treatment?โ Emma whispered. Anastasia laughed again. โAre you serious? Look at her. This right here is the filth of the filth. She comes from the lowest rung on the totem pole. She isnโt worth anything,โ she answered. Emmaโs expression hardened. โEveryone is worth something,โ she replied. Anastasia looked taken aback for a moment. I felt stunned. I had never seen anyone stand up to Anastasia like that, especially not on my behalf. โI think Iโm fine where I am, thank you.โ โWell, Rhea, it looks like you found another bottom dweller. I hope you two fat asses are comfortable sharing such a small seat.โ Anatasiaโs eyes lingered on Emma and I knew she had plans to make her regret her choice. โThank you but I donโt think you should have done that,โ I whispered. Emma smiled at me. โI donโt like bullies. Itโs not okay how they treat you,โ she answered. I half smiled. โExcept now you just earned yourself the same treatment. Trust me when I say Anastasia isnโt the kind of girl you want to piss off.โ โTell me about her.โ I proceeded to explain that Anastasia came from a prominent wolf pack. Her father was an Alpha and a cruel one at that. It had left Anastasia cold and evil. I explained about the Horace family and how she had dated the twins. How she still came around and hooked up with all of them. I mentioned how Anastasia had chanced away any other girl who showed even the slightest interest in any of the brothers. I told her how the boys treated me and that Anastasia took up their mantle. โI think she hates me the most because she canโt get rid of me. She had nothing to be jealous of. None of the Horace brothers would ever dream of being with someone like me but still, I think she views me as some kind of threat. Anyway, thereโs no limit to the kinds of awful things she will do. Sheโs turned torture and bullying into an art form,โ I answered dryly. Emma took a deep breath and looked forward. โWell, thatโs a lot. Iโm so sorry youโve been through all that. Thatโs not okay,โ she whispered. I shrugged and tried to brush it off. โIt is what it is. Soon Iโll be 18 and get far away from this place,โ I said with a longing sigh. โWhere will you go?โ she asked. I smiled at her and we started talking about our dreams and the future. It was one of the best conversations I have had in a long time. I realized how long it had been since I had had a real conversation with someone other than Myra and Jane. Not that they werenโt great friends but they were much older than me and in a lower station. They couldnโt fully understand everything I went through. Emma on the other hand was also 17 and seemed to really understand what it was like to be bullied and treated so poorly. When we arrived at school I said goodbye as I headed to my first class. โWait!โ Emma called after me. โDo you want to have lunch together? Whatโs your number? Iโll text you when I get out of class.โ I smiled and walked back, giving her my phone number. I was excited that for the first time since coming to live with the Horace family, I wouldnโt be eating lunch alone in the bathroom. I waved goodbye and headed to my first class. Classes were not as terrible as the in-between times. The teachers didnโt seem to care so much that I was being teased and tormented but they cared when their lessons were interrupted. That was enough to put a stop to most studentโs chances to harass me. I enjoyed first period the most. Math and numbers always seemed to come easiest to me. I was finding geometry even more fun than algebra. Normally, as the day moved on I found myself dreading lunch but knowing that I was going to hang out with Emma again made me feel differentโbetter. I felt a sense of comradery that I had never felt before. It was nice to have someone to share all my hard times with. It was nice to be validated in my feelings about it all. Emma texted me about five after midday. She asked me to meet her by the bleachers in the open field. I quickly went through the lunch line and grabbed a bit more than usual. I still felt starving after missing breakfast. I tried to keep my head down and avoid any contact with other students. I didnโt need any more comments on my diet or my looks. I took the long way around the quart yard to avoid Anastasia and her band of loyal followers. I somehow managed to make it all the way to the field without anything but a side comment in passing. โHey, how were your first classes?โ I asked. Emma gave me a strange look. โWell, you were right. It was a terrible choice to be friends with you. News travels very fast in this school,โ she exclaimed. I nodded. โI warned you,โ I repeated. She nodded and popped a few grapes into her mouth. It was peaceful out in the field. There were a few odd couples in the area as well but almost no one else. I could still hear the other students laughing and talking near the quart yard and the cafeteria but we would go unnoticed for the most part sitting on the benches. I wondered momentarily why I had never thought to sit out here before. โSo, tell me about your old school and why you moved here,โ I asked. Emma scoffed and began to tell me about life in her other city. It didnโt seem that different from where we were except she was closer to the beach. She told me she had never been particularly popular and always tended to be an outcast. I laughed at her. โWell then, maybe you did choose the right company,โ I teased. She smiled at me. We talked more about school and why her parents moved to a new city and a new pack. She seemed calm and content with almost everything, even the parts of her life that didnโt seem particularly pleasant. โHow do you manage to stay so positive?โ Emma didnโt look at me but instead kept her eyes closed and aimed toward the sun. โHonestly, I donโt know. I wish I had a better answer for you but also I havenโt had quite the life you had, Rhea. Things might be different if our situations were switched.โ The bell rang, urging us back to our classes. As we walked back to the main campus, Emma asked me to hang out again after school. I felt delighted. I was certain I would get some hell for not coming home straight away but it was worth it to feel like I had some semblance of a life. It was worth it to have a friend. The rest of the day carried on like normal. I did my best to stay focused despite some of the students passing me terrible notes and making whispered comments about me. I found it easier to put up with now. I met Emma by the bus station after school and walked with her to her house when it let us off. We spent a few hours talking, doing homework, and eating snacks that her mother had put out. I wondered if this was what life was like for all normal children. It was wonderful. I wanted to stay but knew I couldnโt. When it was getting closer to dinner time I said goodbye and started to head home. I knew Myra and Jane would be missing me and I couldnโt give Luna Simona or the boys any other reason to be cruel to me. I walked into the house and headed toward the living room and into the kitchen. I stopped when I saw Ger and Dylan very intimately on the couch with some girl I didnโt recognize. She was going back and forth between making out with each of them while they let their hands run wild over her body. She let out soft coos of pleasure but stopped abruptly when she saw me standing there. As soon as she stopped, Ger and Dylan looked up as well and narrowed their eyes in anger when they saw me. โGet out you nasty perv! What are you doing just standing there like some dumb idiot?โ Dylan screamed. I quickly forced my feet to move and headed into the kitchen. Both of them were still calling after me. I heard the girl exclaim that she had to leave. Oh, no. I knew I was really in for it now. โWhat is it? Whatโs happened?โ Simona asked, coming into the kitchen. She was followed quickly by Dylan and Ger. โThis dumb girl was spying on us in the living room. We wereโฆ entertaining and our guest left early. She wasnโt comfortable with a nasty little spy,โ Ger explained. I swallowed hard. โI think we should punish her,โ Dylan added. I could tell from my adoptive motherโs expression that that was exactly what they were going to do. -------------------------------------------------- There are limited chapters to put here, click โlearn moreโ to open App to continue reading (It will automatically jump to the book) | LEARN_MORE | https://website.literiess.com/share/middle/5hmskf2 | Literie-Alpha King | https://www.facebook.com/61555762332950/ | 223 | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | Learn more | 0 | website.literiess.com | VIDEO | https://website.literiess.com/share/middle/5hmskf2a01fx0uh1ny4fuvll?campaign_id=%7B%7Bcampaign.id%7D%7D&adset_id=%7B%7Badset.id%7D%7D&ad_id=%7B%7Bad.id%7D%7D&campaign=%7B%7Bcampaign.name%7D%7D&adgroup=%7B%7Badset.name%7D%7D | 1969-12-31 18:00 | https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/463169725_969007728321407_4265600734732817260_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s60x60&_nc_cat=111&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=I916c-69hgQQ7kNvgEBZo9Q&_nc_zt=14&_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-1.xx&_nc_gid=APUQwYv56KXnoZ5PIohJezD&oh=00_AYBIXJSHBcuNdOjoUkTb9Vvl42tC1EwZ2yAc_C1Myqdp-w&oe=67145FD1 | PERSON_PROFILE | 0 | 0 | 0 | Literie-Alpha King | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | View Edit Delete

Yes | 2024-10-15 09:54 | active | 1634 | 0 | ๐ฅ๐ฅ Click to Read ๐๐ป๐๐ป | Eric was not only cheating on me, but he was also bisexual? "Who is Eric Patterson to you?" I hadn't missed the way she'd involuntarily flinched when his name had been mentioned. She lifted her chin. "My soon-to-be-former fiancรฉ." "I'm guessing he doesn't know you're here?" "You'd guess correctly." She had spunk; I'd give her that. "What are the pictures for?" "Well, nothing says insurance better than a photo of your former fiancรฉ banging another woman while getting it in the hip at the same time by a dude." ____________ Daniella I took a deep breath and smoothed down my wig, thinking the bright pink hair actually made my blue eyes stand out more than did my natural auburn locks. The shimmering silver, barely-covering-my-hip dress and my thigh-high, black suede boots completed the look. Although not quite. Because I was feeling festive and maybe because I needed some metaphoric balls tonight, I put on a pair of ornament earrings. After all, I was heading to a Christmas party, one being held three days before the holiday. And I wanted to look my absolute best when busting my fiancรฉ for cheating on me. Yeah, nothing said Merry Christmas quite like sticking your shaft in some other chick right before coming home to your loving fiancรฉe for the holidays. Stuck in the city working on an unfortunate project until tomorrow morning. God, how many times over the last year had I fallen for Eric's lines about working late? Too many. Though we shared a rented townhouse in New Jersey, I'd always been supportive of him keeping an apartment in Manhattan. I'd felt terrible about him having to schlep all the way home after a late night at work. But now I knew better. Too bad I'd already wasted two years with him, but I was determined not to squander one more day. Of course, I could've waited to confront him at home, but I knew he'd deny it. I'd also lose the advantage of having evidence. So I was going to a party tonight that I knew he'd be attending in order to gather the undeniable proof. Club Travesty didn't boast a flashy entrance. Matter of fact, it was tough to find. I imagined it would be even harder to gain entry into tonight's Christmas party. Which is why I'd cloned Eric's membership card. I'd found it in his inside jacket pocket late one evening when he'd forgotten to take it out. That had been his second misstep. The first was leaving a brochure in his glove compartment which had started my suspicions about this club he belonged to. Then, of course, he'd clearly underestimated me. He had no clue I'd be able to access his online credit card account, discover where the card had been used, and utilize parking stubs to figure out the address of the place. At which point, I'd hacked into his email to see the invitation. Now that I was taking the fake membership card out of my purse, I fought the nerves. I was good with a computer and detailsโI'd managed fake ID's in college for me and all my friendsโbut there was always a chance I'd be caught at the door. Guess Plan B would have to consist of Eric coming home to find I'd moved out all of my things earlier today. Smiling at the large man in the black suit with the closely cropped hair at the door, I handed him my card. I watched him scan it while trying to steady my heartbeat. The idea of catching Eric in the act made me anxious. But even more did I worry about entering a intercourse club holiday party for God only knows what. I wondered if I'd thought this through. I mean what if everyone attending was part of an orgy? Or all of a sudden, I became a submissive for a man in a mask with a whip while "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" blasted in the background? Considering how boring my intercourse life with Eric had been, I'd be lying if I said either thought didn't turn me on a little. Matter of fact, disguised as I was and about to be very single, I found myself eager to see what was inside the club. Coming out of my weird, holiday-themed, intercourse-deprived thoughts, I saw the green light flash and smiled at the bouncer who'd allowed me entry. Whew. I'd made it in. But now what? Now to look like I belonged here. I wasn't sure what I'd expected, but classy chandeliers, posh carpets, and a beautiful Christmas tree front and center hadn't been it. I stepped past the entrance and deeper inside by way of a short hallway. I found myself in the middle of a party. Waitresses in barely-there tuxedo one-piece rompers served champagne while soft holiday music played in the background. So much for a raunchy intercourse dungeon. I adjusted my mask. My simple black one was nothing compared to some of the more ornate masks I could see around the room. For a moment, I started to think I might have been mistaken about what type of party this was. Then I noticed the people congregating near the glass on the far side of the room. Stepping closer to the window, I sucked in a breath. Rooms with glass from floor to ceiling had people on display in various intercourse acts. The one in front of me boasted two gorgeous women, one of whom was on her back while the other devoured her between her thighs. Walking down a few feet, I saw the next room featured two men and one woman. She had one shaft in her mouth and the other pumping deep inside of her from behind, fast and furious. I was fascinated and hard-pressed to move on from it. But I had to remember I was here for a purpose and tore my eyes away to step down to the next room. I wasn't a prude by any stretch, despite the boring intercourse I'd been having with my fiancรฉ, but the next scene shocked my senses. In this room a man plowed into a woman missionary-style while another man went to town, thrusting into the first man's hip. I was about to move on when my gaze locked on the eyes of the man in the middle. The mask made it hard to determine for sure, but the unmistakable birth mark on his left pec absolutely identified him. Eric was not only cheating on me, but he was also bisexual? I slid out my flash-drive-sized camera and tried to get the right angle. I wanted to get Eric's masked face along with the unmistakable birth mark: tangible evidence. I'd need it since there wasn't exactly a way I could confront him at the moment. Not unless I wanted to bang against the glass and whip off my mask. Although tempting, I would rather show him the proof with the photo. This ought to get his cooperation in returning the money he owed me, my true priority. I'd given him seventy-five thousand dollars out of my savings to go towards a down payment on the house we planned to buy together. Hindsight made me feel stupid for having trusted him, but when you think you'll spend the rest of your life with someone, what was transferring your savings for your dream home? Unfortunately, my sleuthing revealed he'd spent the money instead of putting it in his nonexistent savings. Evidently, he was a cheater all the way around. Tucking the camera in my purse and giving one last glance toward Eric, I was about to turn and make my way out when a hand clamped on my elbow and a low voice came in my ear. "Miss, please follow me." The man's grip wasn't leaving me much of a choice. A tank in a suit, he was careful, however, make it look as though he was merely guiding me through the crowd. But when he led me into a cleverly hidden elevator near the bar, I had a moment of panic. "Where are you taking me?" "To see the boss, ma'am." "Um, why is that?" "Don't know, but I reckon you'll find out soon enough." His Southern voice might be soothing, but his words weren't. Had they figured out my ID was fake? Or had they spotted the camera? Either way, I was pretty sure I was screwed. And not in a good, intercourse-club kind of way. Shane Finances didn't wait, not even for Christmas week. This was why, instead of enjoying the party downstairs, I was up in my office crunching numbers, frustrated with our part-time accountant's work or lack thereof. The IRS year-end deadline was looming, but instead of making my profit-and-loss statement his priority tonight, he was downstairs partaking in the festivities. Which is probably what I should have been doing. But ironically, as one of the owners of Club Travesty, I had very little time to indulge in the club's activities. "Hey, Boss, you coming down?" Heather, my bar manager and long-time loyal employee, came up the stairs. The open loft-like space held both my desk and my best friend's, in addition to a round table and chairs I used for meetings. I held my head, wanting the break but not in the mood for celebration. Looking up, I tried not to let the stress show. "Not yet. Everything going all right?" She nodded. "Yep. Good crowd tonight. rooms are hot. Matter of fact, I might be up for something later if, uh, you are." I forced myself to scan Heather, with her bustier lifting her fake boobs and cinching her tiny waist, and tight leather pants encasing her toned legs. Her hair was long and blond, both of which weren't natural, but it did make her look younger than her thirty-eight birthdays. We'd done acts together over the years, but it had been a while. Mainly because I'd been worried she'd started to catch feelings after the last time. I didn't do feelings with intercourse. Regardless, my shaft should have stirred. It didn't. I blamed the numbers in front of me. "Maybe some other time, honey." The last thing I wanted to do was hurt her feelings. "Always happy to take a raincheck. Don't work too hard now." Right. I'd owned the club with my best friend, Max, for nearly ten years, and I did remember when it used to be fun. Of course what two red-blooded males wouldn't love the idea of running a intercourse club? But lately it was literally all work and no play. Rubbing my eyes and knowing I still had a long night ahead of me, I stood up from my desk and went through the secure door on my right. There my security team monitored the rooms and the guests on the dozen screens in front of them. "How's it going, Ron?" I addressed the head of security and the best man I had on the job. "Nothing out of the ordinary, Mr. Nelson." His scrutinizing gaze never left the screens, scanning for any type of breach in either the rooms or the party crowd. Anonymity was the most important thing at Club Travesty, something I took very seriously and the reason I had top security. "Is Max on the bar?" "Yes, sir. Any chance he gets." Not only was Max my best friend from childhood, but he was also my business partner. Whereas I preferred the back office, he enjoyed being in the mix, dealing with personnel and schmoozing. He was the people person. I was not. Typically, we had a much smaller crowd. But during the holidays, we did two big VIP parties, one to celebrate Christmas and another on New Year's Eve. This was in addition to the many other services we offered. Private rooms for couples who wanted to come in and spice things up, kinky BDSM rooms in the basement, and a newer service I'd added a few years ago which focused on the woman. This included everything from sexual confidence counselors to the "boyfriend experience," where lonely women could come in to gain mojo. I was just about to step out and back to the books when Ron honed in on something. "Focus in on camera four," he instructed Alan, his junior security guy. I wasn't sure what he was looking at until I spotted her. Pink hair that was obviously fake, tight petite body in a silver, curve-hugging dress, and thigh-high boots that were hot. "What's she holding?" "I think it's a camera." He spoke into the intercom, reaching every security guard via their inconspicuous earpieces. "I've got a possible breach. Pink hair, silver dress, black boots. In front of room number four." Photos were a definite violation of club policy. "Run her credentials," I instructed. "Yes, sir. You want us to confiscate the device and escort her out?" That would be the easiest thing to do. But I wanted answers first. "No, bring her up here. Proceed discreetly." Daniella The elevator doors opened to a large floor space. Two desks sat in the middle of the room and a bay of one-way mirrors appeared to look down over the main floor. My anxiety was already high, but then I saw him. It went up a whole other level. Dressed all in black in a well-tailored suit, he walked towards me with a masculine confidence which left no doubt he was in charge. He was gorgeous in a dangerous way with chiseled features, midnight black hair and a scruff that made me wonder what it would feel like between my thighs. Jesus, where had that thought come from? I blamed the intercourse God in front of me along with the visual from the rooms still on my mind. He stopped a foot in front me and held out his hand. "May I see your ID card?" I swallowed hard before fishing it from my clutch and handing it over. My voice escaped me, though I didn't know whether it was from his presence or from my nerves over the fake ID. "Scan this." He held it out for Tank Man. "Yes, sir." After taking the card, Tank Man opened a door off to the side, offering me a glimpse of monitors. The moment the door closed, I felt very aware we were alone. The floor may have been spacious, but at that moment it felt anything but. "What, uh, what is this about?" I'd finally found my voice. "It's about the camera, and the pictures you were taking." He didn't seem like a man who would appreciate a false runaround, so I didn't bother to deny it. "I'm guessing it's against club rules?" "You'd guess right. And if you turn it over, I won't press charges." "You won't press charges against me for taking pictures in a intercourse club?" As if he would call the cops here. I might be shaking in my boots, but I wasn't stupid. His smile didn't reach his eyes. "Take off your mask, please." I swallowed hard but removed it as instructed. Perhaps if I cooperated, he'd be more willing to let me keep the photos. "I've never seen you here before. What's your name?" I looked beyond him to where the big man who'd taken my ID was coming out of the door. "I'm sure your human tank can tell you." His lips twitched, but he simply turned towards his man with a quirked brow. "Beth Jones, sir. But the membership code belongs to Eric Patterson." Note to self. When lying and going undercover, wear shoes I could actually run in. These four-inch boots were definitely not fitting the bill if I wanted to make a break for it. "Go back to your station downstairs, Chad. Send up Lance, please." "He so didn't look like a Chad," I commented once the door was closed. Hey, even if I was screwed, I could still be sarcastic. *** Shane I was the type of man accustomed to having people nervous upon meeting me. I might not be big like the "Tank" she'd referred to, but at six foot one, two hundred pounds, I'd been known to intimidate the people I wanted to. But this woman was cracking jokes. She was challenging me about the police, despite her hands shaking when she'd handed over the ID card and taken off her mask. I appreciated that she hadn't bothered to lie or play dumb. "What are the pictures for?" "Well, nothing says insurance better than a photo of your former fiancรฉ banging another woman while getting it in the hip at the same time by a dude." If this wasn't so serious, then I might have grinned at her choice of words. "Insurance against what? You're a woman who came in tonight to get proof your fiancรฉ was cheating. So now go home, throw his clothes out, and do whatever you women do to get your revenge, but leave my club out of it." She gritted her teeth. "I have something that could be useful to you." I raised a brow, slowly scanning up from her thigh-high boots to the short dress that gave me a glimpse of skin. Her breasts, although not large, were certainly real. And despite the fact she was wearing a lot of makeup, I could see that under it she was beautiful. For a moment, I wanted nothing better than to rip off her wig to see the color of her hair. But the murderous glare she was shooting me gave me pause, not to mention amusement. "Jesus. Are all men pigs? I meant your security system. Obviously, I'm not throwing myself at the owner of a intercourse club. I'm not that pathetic." Normally I didn't care what people thought about me, having perfected such an art form years ago. But this particular woman's audacity to think herself too good for me snapped my temper. "I can assure you I'd rather j-rk off than sleep someone vanilla like you." I immediately saw the hurt flash in her eyes and instantly regretted my words. I'd made this personal when it was only business. "I'm sure my fiancรฉ had the same thought. And the insurance I speak of is because he took my money, and I want it back." She dug in her clutch and handed over a small camera. "I'll be going now unless you have any other insults you'd prefer to hurl before I do." Unbelievable. "As if implying you'd never stoop so low as to sleep with me wasn't starting it." Her pretty face showed confusion. "What are you talking about? You know what? It doesn't matter. I need to go." I was about to let her. Getting the camera should have been enough, but I needed to address one more thing. How had she gotten in tonight? My gaze landed on Lance coming out of the elevator. He'd been on the door when Ms. Beth Jonesโwhich couldn't be her real nameโhad come through. "Wait one moment. Lance, do you remember letting this woman in the door earlier tonight?" Lance assessed her quickly but shook his head. "Sorry, sir. I don't remember her. There were a lot of women dressed similarly tonight." "Yes, but this one gave you a fake ID. It might have looked authentic, but it was cloned from the card of a male member, which she is definitely not. That you should've caught. Clear out your things. You're fired." She gasped. "What? No. You can't fire him." *** Daniella The arrogant prick had the nerve to arch a brow at me. "I'm the owner. I can do whatever I like." "Yes, sir. Sorry, sir." Lance spoke up, ready to leave. Could I help it if my guilt was heavy? I'd come to expose a cheater, not make some poor guy lose his job. "No, wait. I'll show you how I cloned the cards. That's what I was offering before. But if I show you, then you have to let, uh, Lance keep his job. You have a serious security breach with the way your cards are designed." I watched him contemplate. "Are you a computer hacker?" "No, just really good with them." "And how are you with accounting? Because if I dismiss Eric from the club, I'm going to be without an accountant." My eyes widened. "You let Eric handle your books? Are you a client of his firm?" "No. He did this on the side to compensate for his, uh, membership fee. He is an accountant, is he not?" "Yeah, one who stole money and doesn't have the accumulated wealth he boasts about." I used air quotes to highlight the last few words. Although his face said nothing, the set of his jaw told me everything. "Lance, go downstairs and bring Mr. Patterson up here. I have some questions for him." "Does that mean Lance isn't fired?" "It would seem so. For now." Tank Two simply nodded. "Yes, sir. I'll bring Mr. Patterson up." "How did you find out he was stealing?" "I gave him seventy-five thousand dollars to go with his supposed two hundred thousand for a down payment on a house. None of it is in his bank accounts. Matter of fact, the statements show he's exclusively been withdrawing money for months." "Excuse me?" "When I hacked into his bank accounts, none of my money was there. But I did see it used to be, along with a couple hundred thousand, but it's all been withdrawn. That's why I need the pictures from tonight, as insurance he'll give my money back." "I take it he wouldn't want people finding out he was having intercourse with another man?" "He'd freak out if I let the pictures go to all of his buddies or coworkers." "Are you sure you want to see him? I could just as easily do this without you here. The last thing I want is for you to start crying or get hysterical." Seriously? "The answer to your insulting question would be no, I won't start freaking out." Matter of fact, I was more than ready to confront Eric. Shane I watched Eric come off the elevator doors. He took off the mask and gave me a smile before his gaze flicked over to my guest. "Daniella. That's not you, is it?" She ripped the pink wig off her head, letting auburn locks flow down her back and making it clear she was the person he'd guessed. She was even prettier without the wig, with her natural dark red hair cascading down her back in waves, but it was the fire in her eyes which made her stunning. Although I'd hauled him up here wanting answers about his alleged stealingโhe was acting as my accountant, after allโlike a sick voyeur, I was riveted to the spot. I wanted to find out what would happen once she confronted him over the cheating. "What are you doing here?" Eric asked, still clearly in shock. "Shouldn't that be my question for you?" She was calm. I'd give her that. "I, uh, I mean some people from the officeโwe were working late andโ" "Oh, my God. Even now you lie. After I saw you having intercourse with some guy ten minutes ago." Eric went pale at her remark, and I have to say it made me happy. I'd never really liked the guy on a personal level and wasn't surprised to find he was a cheater. The question was whether he was a thief. If he was, I was going to break his face. "What do you expect? You're boring in the bedroom. No boobs, no adventureโ" "No manhood," she supplied, arching a brow. At least she wasn't about to let him insult her. There was no way it couldn't have stung, though, especially after my earlier comment. "As enlightening as it would be to hear you two go back and forth all night, I don't have the time. But I do have a vested interest in bringing you up here, Eric." His gaze shifted to me, and I could see it. The nervousness. "Uh, what's that?" "Are you stealing from me?" "No. No way, Shane." I raised a brow at his familiarity. "I mean Mr. Nelson, sir." "Did you steal from her?" His eyes got big, and he turned red. "No. She's my fiancรฉe." "Not any more I'm not." She took off the ring and tossed it onto a nearby table. If she'd been smart, she would've used it for leverage to ensure he returned her money first, but I stayed quiet. And in fact, before he could step over to grab the considerably sized diamond ring, she snatched it up. "Return my money, and you can have it back." "What? That ring is worth over ten grand. All precedents says the man gets the ring back if an engagement is broken." But then again, this was the most amusement I'd had in weeks. "I'm aware of what legal precedents says. However, if the man owes her seventy-five thousand dollars, the ring can be held as collateral. I want it all returned." "It was to go towards a house, so good luck proving anything." I'd had enough of this prick. It bothered me that he wasn't apologizing or appeared to show any remorse. She'd trusted him, and he'd betrayed her trust: not only by cheating, but also by taking her money. Neither of which was sitting well with me. "What do you think the guys at the office or your buddies would think of your little three-some downstairs tonight, Eric?" His face started to turn a deep red. Although he was a handsome guy, if you preferred the Wall Street type, he certainly didn't look it now. Matter of fact, he looked like he was about to puke. Which meant I had his number. "You can't threaten me with that. Anonymity is rule one with the club." I shrugged. "I can't, but she can. She has pictures." His eyes darted back and forth between us. "But that's against club rules." "Well, see, that's a predicament. She's not actually a club member. In fact, you're in violation for allowing her to use your card tonight to get in." "I didn't. She must've copied it." "Which means she had access to it, which ultimately constitutes carelessness on your part." "What do you want from me?" "The truth. Are you stealing from me?" "No. Definitely not." Considering he didn't have access to my actual bank accounts but only to the reports, I chose to believe him. "Fine, but if I find one penny gone, those pictures go viral at your firm. Also, you'll return all the money to Ms.โ" "Trivioli," she supplied. Daniella Trivioli. The name rolled around in my mind. "Okay. Fine," he readily agreed. "And do not come back here. Your membership has been revoked." Now he looked like he was on the verge of crying. He certainly hadn't been as upset to lose his supposed future life partner. "Please, don't do that." "I don't tolerate thieves or liars, Eric. Now, I suggest you leave without a scene before I make one and have you tossed out." He turned, but not without walking in front of Daniella and mumbling something which made her go completely pale. "What did you just say to her?" "Nothing." Eric appeared in a hurry to be going. I moved closer to step in front of her. "What did he say to you?" I might be a prick, but the last thing I'd allow was the victim in this situation to be made to feel worse. This woman, in particular, was pulling out a protective side I hadn't felt in years. "He said 'have a nice life, you frigid orgasmless bimbo.'" I raised a brow. "He's never given you an climax?" Why did women stay with men who couldn't get them off? Monogamy was a foreign concept to me, especially if, at the very least, the intercourse wasn't good. She swallowed hard. Tears glistened in her prideful gaze. "Not often." Eric scoffed. "Because you take too long." There was a reason my club offered sexual confidence classes. Because men like Eric systematically shredded a woman's self-assurance by being selfish in bed. I stepped closer to Daniella. My arm went around her waist, pulling her to my side. I'd be lying if I said her warmth didn't affect me. Her soft curves could be felt under the flimsy excuse for a dress she was wearing. "I find it funny you'd automatically assume the problem is her." I let my hand wander down her side slowly, seductively, while I told myself I was helping her save face. "Because your ex-fiancรฉe is a beautiful woman." I stepped behind her then, my one hand still splayed on her hip, the other inching up her skirt in the back. How far would she be willing to let this go? Any moment I expected her to step away. At the same time, I hoped she wouldn't. "But she's clearly been sexually deprived for a long time. But don't worry, Eric. She's come to the right place to remedy that." Before I could think about the ramifications or the fact that Daniella wasn't the typical guest at Club Travesty, my hand went up her skirt and between her legs. | LEARN_MORE | https://b.ereaderlab.com/ad/ZVJlYWRlci8zMjIyMTYvMj | Red113 | https://www.facebook.com/61554938783328/ | 30 | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | Learn more | 0 | b.ereaderlab.com | VIDEO | https://b.ereaderlab.com/ad/ZVJlYWRlci8zMjIyMTYvMjAyNDEwMTAxMTI0NDUvcGFnZQ==?adid={{ad.id}} | 1969-12-31 18:00 | https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/462739908_1060831968729986_1054437208982195016_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s60x60&_nc_cat=111&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=r_8Q51jMe-8Q7kNvgHbaLDW&_nc_zt=14&_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-1.xx&_nc_gid=ARa-v5aZExNATqyeVupUS01&oh=00_AYDRfscm8PzKKrEnOcazqrMJjqA--XYXfo-gvLtqkg8hlg&oe=67145E79 | PERSON_PROFILE | 0 | 0 | 0 | Red113 | 0 | 0 | 1969-12-31 18:00 | View Edit Delete

Yes | 2024-10-15 09:54 | active | 1634 | 0 | Stiffness and other frustrating joint problems โ like discomfort and poor mobility โ arenโt caused by putting in too many reps. They arenโt the result of age, either. | Stiffness and other frustrating joint problems โ like discomfort and poor mobility โ arenโt caused by putting in too many reps. They arenโt the result of age, either. The most common and frustrating joint problems are caused by senescent cell buildup. These are dormant cells that no longer serve a purpose. They should be dead. Yet they remain in the body. (This is why theyโre also known as โzombie cells.โ) Senescent cells do more than waste space and gunk up joints. They can also release harmful chemicals and compounds that damage nearby healthy cells. The effects can build up over time and may include: ๐ Slower wound healing ๐ Less energy ๐ Longer recovery times after physical activity ๐ Stiff, slow, achy, weak, rundown, or otherwise uncomfortable joints But the proven ingredients in Remodel Clinicโข by SaltWrap support senescent cell clearance and bolster the bodyโs natural tissue remodeling process. This unlocks the potential to enhance joint mobility, comfort, and recovery โ while also improving joint resilience and longevity. And since we believe so strongly in our Remodel Clinicโข, we offer a 100% Money-Back guarantee if youโre not satisfied! So, if your joints donโt feel more mobile and less stiff after your first bottle of Remodel Clinicโข โ it's on us (no return necessary).
