As he rejected me, I retaliated by cutting off all contact with the packโฆ
Chapter 1: Ayla
โAyla, is dinner ready? No more delay. Kylee and Theo will be soon here!โ
โYes, mom.โ I sighed hearing my mother's impatient urging.
Kylee is my little sister, and Theo is her mate as well as our future Alpha. It is said that they had been together for over a year, and today is the first Kylee has brought her mate home. I was so happy for her.
Our current Alpha, Alpha Torin, was a good leader, a fair leader, and a good man. I knew he had a son, but I had never met him before.
But I had heard that his son, Theo, was promising to be just as good an Alpha as his father. So I really couldnโt have been more relieved that he was my sisterโs mate. She would be properly looked after and taken care of, and she would be happy.
I was pulling the chicken out of the oven when I saw my mother rushing past me, excitedly shouting towards the door, โThey're here.โ
After my father passed away, my mother had become an alcoholic. But she always managed to look presentable in front of Kylee. For example, today, she was not only dressed neatly, but even used mouthwash.

I was still transferring the food when I heard the front door open and the squeals of my mother and sister as they embraced. I finished my task and moved the dishes to the dining room table that was already set neatly. I smiled at my presentation and excitedly hurried to the living room.

I froze at the threshold. A scent overwhelmed my senses, causing my stomach to knot and my heart to race.

The tall, broad man standing next to my sister turned toward me and we locked eyes.

Mate.

I practically gagged trying to stifle the word from slipping from my mouth.

What was happening?

This was my sisterโs mate.

Not mine.

This man was fated to Kylee.

So why was I having this reaction?

Better questionโฆ

Why did HE seem to be having the same reaction?

His eyes were wide, pupils dilated, and they held my gaze with a vice-like grip as he, too, seemed frozen to where he stood.

Dasha, my wolf, bounced excitedly in my head, recognizing him and his wolf just as I was. It took a minute for her to understand the situation, but once she did, she started whimpering in the back of my mind.

This couldnโt be happening.

What was happening?

I forced myself to address the situation as a whole. Fine, this was happening. Now, what is the best way to handle the situation? I wasnโt going to break my sisterโs heart. Absolutely not. I wouldnโt let him either. Not right now. Weโll just get through dinner, and Iโll find a way to speak with him in private later.

I cleared my throat and plastered a smile on my face.

โKylee, Iโm so excited youโre home,โ I said, opening my arms so she could jump into them like she had since she was little.

โIโve missed you, sis,โ she said.

โIโve missed you, too,โ I said quietly.

We separated, and she turned to the male behind her. โTheo, this is my sister, Ayla. Ayla, this is my mate, Theo.โ

Theoโs hands were clenched into fists, and he forced a tight-jawed smile toward me. At least I was better at faking it them him. Geesh.

I nodded to him with a broad smile. I knew it didnโt reach my eyes, but at least Ma and Kylee wouldnโt notice.

โItโs lovely to meet you, Theo,โ I said. โDinner is ready in the dining room. Why donโt you guys go take a seat, and Iโll be right there. I need to tend to dessert first.โ

โDonโt take too long,โ Kylee said brightly. โWe have some big news, and I donโt think I can wait much longer.โ

โI promise Iโll be right there,โ I assured her as I rubbed her shoulder.

Kylee grabbed Ma by the arm and led her to the dining room. Theo followed a few steps behind. He had to pass me to get through. Right as he approached, I turned my body to ensure we didnโt touch. He paused in front of me for a moment. I looked up to meet his eyes.

There was anger, confusion, desire, and possibly even hurt reflecting in his eyes that I couldnโt help but notice were the color of honey. He had questions. I subtly shook my head at him. Hoping and silently begging that he knew we couldnโt do this here.

The sound of Kyleeโs laugh from the other room made me jump and then quickly retreat to the kitchen. I grabbed the homemade cheesecake from the fridge and set it on the counter for later.

I listened to the others conversing in the next room and took several deep breaths. I felt a lump start to form in my throat and quickly pushed it down. This wasnโt the time to cry.

I was almost to the dining room when I heard the last part of what Kylee was saying, and again, I was left frozen at the threshold.

โโฆ our mating ceremony is in three months.โ Kylee looked up at me. โOh, Ayla, Iโm sorry. I just couldnโt hold back any longer. Arenโt you happy for us?โ

I put the same fake smile back on. โOf course Iโm happy for you,โ I said. โYou deserve the best.โ

I took my seat at the table, ignoring the fact that I was left sitting directly across from Theo. His eyes were boring into me, and my face felt like it was on fire. I started dishing out food and passing plates. I didnโt say much over dinner. Instead, I just listened to Kylee and Ma talk about all the ideas they had for the mating ceremony. Theo didnโt say much either but slowly started to do a better job hiding his discomfort with the situation.

It took everything to ignore the touches they shared, pushing down the jealousy that kept surging through me.
After dinner, while they were still talking, I made an excuse to slip out through the back door.

I stood on the porch and took several deep breaths. I released a string of curses.
โWhat is happening? Why is this happening? This ISNโT happening,โ I whispered with the force of a yell.

โOur mate.โ Dasha insisted.

โNo, heโs not,โ I said back to her. โHeโs Kyleeโs. There must be some kind of mistake.โ

All of a sudden, I stiffened as a mouthwatering scent hit my nose. I knew who was standing behind me.

Chapter 2: Theo
I fought against the urges her scent was influencing as I stalked up to her. But more importantly, the urge to grab her and take her against the nearest tree. My wolf was going crazy about the idea, but he would learn fast that that was never going to happen.

I wouldnโt accept her.

Knowing what I knew about her, that would never happen.

She turned to face me.

โThis wonโt happen,โ I spat out before she had a chance to speak.
Her jaw clenched, and her silvery-gray eyes stared into mine for a few short moments. But I couldnโt read a thing behind them.

โI absolutely agree,โ she stated evenly.

My wolf growled and snarled inside me, demanding to know what I was doing. I pushed down the hurt that hit me when she didnโt fight me. Her reaction just proved why this needed to be done. I could never be with someone so cold and self-absorbed as her. There was no way someone like her could ever be my Luna.

โDonโt know her.โ Kieran yelled in my head.

I knew enough.

โKylee is my mate. Not you. I, Theo Arden, future Alpha of the Greytooth Pack, reject you, Ayla Garner, as my mate and Luna.โ Kieran was snapping his teeth, pushing to take control to stop this.

โI, Ayla Garner, accept your rejection and relinquish my claim as your mate and Luna.โ

My wolf howled in pain. A pain that was mirrored within me as it felt like my heart was being ripped apart. It was the bond breaking. Releasing me from the tie that bound us together.
She stood there like nothing happened.

How could she stand there like nothing had happened?

She really didnโt feel anything, did she? It was so easy for her to let us go.

โMate wants me.โ

I grimaced. He meant her wolf. Her wolf wanted mine. He could sense her. She was even denying her wolf. I couldnโt stand it anymore. I needed to get away from her.

I stormed back into the house, returning to the woman the goddess should have made my mate. I returned to the dining room to find her mother and her still deep in conversation. I was grateful she hadnโt seemed to notice my absence or the change in my mood. It wasnโt surprising. She was excited about seeing her family and sharing the news with them.

I had been, too, until her sister walked into the room. The scent had engulfed me, driving me to seek out the source like a lifeline. When I saw her, her beauty took my breath away. She was petit but strong, with long legs and perfect curves. She had a mass of caramel-blonde hair that cascaded over her shoulders, framing a face with plump lips and intense gray eyes that shined green in the light. I couldnโt help but want her. I recognized who she was to me immediately.

But then I noticed her narrow nose and soft jawline were familiar. Her fair skin had a sun-kissed glow that I had always found attractive. Once I realized she had similar features to Kylee, I knew this was her sister, Ayla.

Kylee had told me on many occasions how her sister had changed after the death of their father. She was there for Kylee at first, but in less than a year, she started spending all her time away from home. She ended up dropping out of the private school her parents had worked so hard to send her to. Eventually, Kylee lost track of what she was doing with her life.

Kylee was there for her when she was around, trying to be supportive. But she wasnโt the sister she used to love. What bothered her most was Aylaโs treatment of their mother. Ayla still lived in the house with her, but Kylee always got the impression that helping their mother was just a burden. She worried their mother would be left with no one to take care of her, and she wasnโt in the best of health anymore.

โI have an idea,โ I interrupted. They both looked up at me expectantly. โWhy doesnโt your mother come to stay with us for a while? At least until the ceremony? We have the room in the packhouse, and Iโm sure you and my mother would appreciate the extra input.โ

Both their faces lit up.

โReally? We can do that?โ Kylee said happily.

โOf course,โ I said with a smile.

โThank you.โ

Kylee jumped up from the table and threw her arms around me, kissing me sweetly. I ignored the growls coming from Kieran. Seeing their reaction told me I had made the exact right decision. Despite what the burning in my chest told me.

This was who I was supposed to be with. Not Ayla.

โKeep saying. Maybe believe.โ

I told him to shut up, and he retreated into the back of my mind, cutting himself off from me.

He would get over it. Once the bond was completely severed, he would understand this was the right thing for us and the pack.

Chapter 3: Ayla
I had managed to get myself together enough to rejoin my family. The pain that seared through me from Theoโs rejection and my subsequent acceptance almost brought me to my knees. It took all of my strength to keep my body from shaking, praying he didnโt notice the blood coming from my palms. I had clenched my fists so hard trying to stay on my feet that I broke the skin.

When he finally left, I released the sob that was the only thing capable of coming out of my mouth. But I didnโt let the tears fall. Not yet. They couldnโt know.

So, I steadied my breathing and went back into my house. I was surprised to find that Kylee and Ma werenโt in the dining room anymore. They werenโt in the living room either. But Theo was.

โTheyโre in your motherโs room packing,โ he said coldly.

โPacking?โ What was he talking about?

He stepped closer to me, lowering his voice. โI think itโs best that you keep your distance from Kylee for a while. We donโt want her finding out about this. But I know sheโll want her mother to be a part of the ceremony planning. So sheโs coming back with us.โ

I felt like he just slapped me in the face. As if I would ever tell her. Thatโs why I was doing this. So that I wouldnโt break my baby sisterโs heart. I gave him what he wanted, and now he was going to keep me from my family?

Dasha was confused and in pain, whimpering in my head because she didnโt understand how he could be so cruel to us.

โIf thatโs what you think is best,โ I said to Theo through gritted teeth.

โKylee,โ he called out, not breaking eye contact. โLetโs get going.โ

My sister came prancing into the room. โAlready?โ

โItโs getting late. Letโs head to the hotel for the night. Weโll swing by in the morning to pick up your mother.โ

โOkay,โ she said brightly before turning to me. โWhat about you, Ayla? Youโre coming with, too, right?โ

I opened my mouth to speak, but Theo decided to answer for me.

โWe were just talking about that. Ayla has some things going on with work and canโt get away.โ

I gave her a tight smile. โYes, Iโm sorry. But I will try to come out there as soon as I can.โ

โOh, okay, I understand. But Iโll make sure we have a room ready for you whenever you can come.โ

โOf course. I canโt wait,โ I said, my heart breaking again, knowing Theo wouldnโt allow me to be there with her.

We all said our goodbyes, and they left. Ma was still standing at the window watching them drive off when I went to clean up the dishes in the kitchen. She finally came in behind me and started opening another bottle of wine. We had gone through four during dinner already. And I barely touched my glass.

โMa, youโve had enough for the night,โ I said calmly.

โOh, come on. Itโs a celebration,โ Ma said. โItโs not every day you find out your baby is going to be a Luna.โ

โMa, you can celebrate more tomorrow. You need to finish packing,โ I said, gently taking the bottle from her hand. โIโm sure Kylee and Theo will be here first thing in the morning.โ

โWe can celebrate together while you help me pack,โ she said, grabbing the bottle back from me. โThen Iโll help you pack.โ

I winced. This wasnโt going to end well. โIโm not coming, Ma.โ

She stopped with the glass halfway to her lips. โWhat do you mean youโre not coming?โ she asked with a pout. โYou have to be there. Kylee is going to be mated. I told her we would help pay for the ceremony.โ

I winced again. She meant me. I would be helping pay for the ceremony. Ma didnโt have a penny to her name.

โThis is a big deal. Donโt be so selfish, Ayla.โ

Her words stung, but they werenโt unexpected. This was kind of the norm when she got like this. I know she didnโt really mean it. At least, she wouldnโt mean it when she was sober. I got her into her bedroom and set her on the bed. I changed her into her nightgown and tucked her in.

She was asleep in seconds. I hurried through the rest of her packing. Stuffing two large suitcases as full as I could before carrying them out to the living room. Then I locked the front door, finished the last of the dishes, and slipped out into the backyard.

I stripped off my clothes as I headed for the forest, desperate to get under its protective shadows. As soon as I passed the treeline, I shifted, taking off at full speed. I let Dasha feel all the pain. I didnโt try to hold her back anymore.

We would mourn the loss of our fated mate. The loss of the one person who was supposed to see us for who we were. The one person who was supposed to always put us first, without demands or expectations. We would mourn the loss of never getting to experience that.
But we wouldnโt mourn him.

We ran until we could barely breathe. Until Dasha stopped at the edge of our pond โ our place of solace โ and let out a heartwrenching howl into the night air. Shifting at the end as she retreated back into my mind, out of reach to heal her broken heart, while I let the torrent of tears finally fall.

I walked into the water, curling into myself as the sobs wracked my body, intensifying the burn that was still there from our bond being ripped from my heart.

I submerged myself completely, washing my body clean of Theo, the mate bond, and every dream of finding my soulmate.

In the midst of this pain I drifted off to sleep.
The next morning.
When I made it back to the house, there was no one there. My mother had been taken away by them.
I was standing in an empty room in an empty house. The silence was deafening. And it all came crashing down. I sank to my knees, begging the goddess to just let it all go away, just for a little while. I just wanted to feel numb.

I lost track of how long I sat in that spot, staring without seeing. I didnโt even know Zeff was there until I felt him grip my arms.

โAyls, what happened? Whatโs wrong?โ he asked, brushing hair out of my face, forcing me to look at him. โAyla, what is going on?โ

โI found my mate,โ I said, the corner of my mouth tipping up mockingly. โHeโs scheduled to be mated to my sister.โ

โWhat?โ Zeff exclaimed, anger and concern twisting his handsome features.

Zeff was a good man. He had been there for me when no one else was. He was the only person who knew everything I went through. And here he was, listening to me tell him about meeting Theo, the mating ceremony, and my rejection. Why couldnโt he have been my mate? He should have been.

โCome on,โ he said, lifting me up. โYouโre coming to stay with me.โ

I didnโt protest. The goddess had given me this one little blessing. I was numb. Zeff held me up by my waist and led me out to his car. He tucked me into the passenger seat and disappeared into the house again, only to emerge a few minutes later with a duffel bag in hand.

He pulled out and drove us the twenty minutes to his house. Just like before, he helped me inside, this time sitting me on the big, comfy leather couch in his living room.

He came and sat next to me, putting an arm over my shoulder and pulling me into him. I let myself relax some. This was the first thing since Theo walked into my life that felt normal, felt comfortable. He leaned his head on mine, rubbing his fingers along my arm.

โAyla. Youโre going to deal with this โ weโre going to deal with this together. Screw him, okay. Heโs a dirtbag. You deserve so much better than some fool who doesnโt see how incredible you are.โ

I wanted to roll my eyes, but it wasnโt just about him.

โHe took my family, Zeff. I would have gotten over him just rejecting me because of Kylee. At least she would be safe and happy.โ

โNo. They either treat you like a servant or a bank. They donโt care what their actions do to you as long as they keep getting what they want."

โZeff...But they were my familyโ I wanted to contradict him, but I knew he was right.

โGet over him.โ He took a step toward me, reaching up to hold my chin. โHeโs not the only one who can take care of you, Ayla. He may be foolish enough not to want you, but Iโm not.โ

My breath caught in my throat. He had told me about his feelings before, but we both avoided going down that road with each other. We knew we could find our fated mates at any time, and we didnโt want to deny each other that.

โMove in here with me, Ayls,โ Zeff said. โThereโs nothing stopping us now.โ

โZeff, you still have a mate out there somewhere.โ

โAyla, stop. Iโm thirty-four and well-traveled. If I was going to find her, I would have long before now. We both know that.โ

Suddenly his lips were on mine. I was shocked, but mostly because it felt good. I felt wanted. I kissed him back, not wanting to give that feeling up. I leaned into him โ until Dasha came charging to the forefront, growling and snarling that someone who wasnโt our mate was touching us.

I ripped myself from Zeffโs embrace. Breathing heavily, the pain of the severed bond renewed. I clutched my chest.

โAyla.โ

โI canโt. The bond. Itโs still there. It hasnโt faded yet.โ

Zeff pulled me into his arms. โOkay. Itโs okay. We can wait. Weโll take it slow.โ

I rested my head on his chest. โOkay.โ

He squeezed me tighter. I still didnโt know if we could make this work, but I wanted to try.

I stayed with the Zeff, and it was quiet. Until a week later, when Theo burst in.

Chapter 4: Theo
It had been a week since I had gone home with Kylee. Seven days and a hundred miles away, and the bond was still there. The burning in my chest wouldnโt go away. I didnโt understand and it was annoying.

More important is Kieran. He had spent the whole week giving me the silent treatment, except when Kylee was around. Then all he did was growl and snarl. It was getting exhausting.

I had taken to holing up in my office most of the time. I didnโt want to snap at Kylee, or her mother, which had become hard to avoid by the third day. I was glad I had a good reason for me being so busy all of a sudden.

Alpha was sick. He was diagnosed with a progressive disease almost a year ago. So, he decided it was time to hand the title down to me. It wasnโt official yet. We were planning on making the change at the same time as Kyleeโs and my mating ceremony. Actually, thatโs why I decided to make Kylee my official mate. Alphaโs were always stronger with a strong Luna by their side. With the circumstances of my fatherโs abdication, our pack needed to be as strong as possible.

But there was still a lot to take care of and a lot I had to learn about being an Alpha before that time. So it wasnโt hard to convince her that it was the stress that was causing me to be distant.

But this morning, I'm driving myself to Kylee's house. I promised to help her retrieve her mother's necklace, which she wanted to wear during our mating ceremony.

In addition, if I couldnโt completely sever the bond between me and Ayla, Kieran could end up taking control and stop me from marking Kylee.
So, once I got the necklace, Iโd reject Ayla again, making sure it stuck this time, and Iโd go back home.

When I pulled up to the house, something twisted in my gut. When I step into the house, her invigorating scent of oranges and cloves invaded my nostrils, but it wasnโt nearly as strong as it should have been.
I realize Ayla wasn't home.
Instead, there was another smell in Ayla's room.
The scent was male. It was faint, he wasnโt here long, but mixed in with the distinctive scent of my mate, I could pick it out anywhere. From the trail, it seemed as if he was the one who packed up her things.

I stormed out of the house. Tossing the jewelry box in the passenger seat, I took my phone out and searched for the number for the publishing house Kylee said Ayla worked for.
I got another address that Ayla had added to her personal profile from the receptionist.

I followed the GPS to the address, pulling into the drive of a large, two-story house in a nice neighborhood. Parking half on the lawn, I didnโt even close the car door before taking the front steps two at a time.

I banged on the door until I heard movement inside. A man opened it. It was the male I smelled in Aylaโs room. Before he could say anything, I lunged at him, my hands grabbing the front of his shirt and practically lifting him off the ground.

โWhat have you done with her? I smell her all over you. Where is she?โ

He pushed me off him, his eyes glaring at me with recognition and disdain.

โYou must be Theo.โ

โWhat is going on?โ Aylaโs voice floated down to me as she ran down the stairs. She froze halfway down the moment she laid eyes on me. โWhat are you doing here?โ

A silk robe hung open, revealing the shorts and cut-off tank top she wore underneath, her caramel-colored hair flowing loosely around her shoulders. She was gorgeous. And clearly not in distress. I took a step toward her as my rage grew.

โWhat are you doing here?โ I spat back.

โThatโs none of your concern,โ the male interjected.

I turned on him again, a rumbling growl emanating from my chest, my claws extending. I was ready to rip his throat out.

โStop,โ Ayla yelled, coming the rest of the way down the stairs and stepping between the two of us. โZeff, go to work.โ

โAbsolutely not. Iโm not leaving you here with him. Not in the state heโs in.โ

โI would never hurt her.โ Kieran was ready to burst from my skin. How dare this dirtbag think we would ever lay a hand on her.

โWe both know thatโs crap.โ

โZeff, I said go.โ Her expression softened a little. โIโll call you later.โ

She would.

The Zeff guy shot me another hate-filled look before exiting out the open front door. We stood in silence until the sound of his engine faded.

โAre you dating him?โ

Her eyes went wide, then narrowed as she took a step forward. โWhat I do with a male โ or anyone for that matter โ is none of your business.โ

โIt isnโt.โ Electricity passed through the air between us. โHe has no right to put his hands on you.โ

โHe does if I want him to,โ she yelled, not only holding her ground against the alpha energy I was exuding but taking another step toward me. โI donโt belong to anyone, remember? I have no mate.โ

I lost it. My hand was around her neck and my mouth was on hers before I even knew what I had done. But I didnโt stop. I couldnโt stop. Sparks of intense electricity shot through me, invigorating all my senses. I pushed her to open for me, my tongue seeking hers. Goddess, she tasted so good. She returned the kiss, her arousal mingling in the air.

โMINE.โ

She pushed me off her with force.

I took a step toward her again but she backed away.

โDonโt you hurt Kylee like this.โ

โLike you care about your sister getting hurt,โ I spat, but for some reason, I instantly regretted it. But I couldnโt take it back. I wouldnโt take it back.

โExcuse me?โ Pure rage radiated off of her, her eyes turning an icy blue.

โYou abandoned Kylee a long time ago. You disappeared all the time, leaving her alone with a mother who was struggling to keep everything together.โ

Aylaโs face paled. Every ounce of anger seemed to drain from her instantly, that blue fire fading from her eyes.

She almost went completely limp in front of me, stumbling until her back hit the wall. Her faรงade cracked.

โThatโs what she told you? She said that?โ her voice was almost a whisper.

Kieran was going insane in my head, telling me to shut up, to just stop talking. Urging me to stop hurting her. Because I was hurting her. I had struck a nerve, a very deep one, and I wouldnโt stop. She had to break the bond. Once and for all. If it meant I had to break her to do it, I would.

โShe told me everything. She told me how you would keep things from her and your mother. That you would be out at all hours of the night when you were a teenager. How you dropped out of high school, waisting the tuition your parents worked so hard for.โ

โWhat?โ

โI could never be with someone as cold and heartless as you.โ

Aylaโs head snapped up. Her eyes a steely gray as she resolved herself to something I couldnโt figure out but would soon find out.

โI, Ayla Garner, reject you, Theo Arden, as my mate. I relinquish my claim as your mate and Luna.โ

I gritted my teeth as Kieran howled in my head, screaming for me not to accept it.

โI, Theo Arden, accept your rejection.โ The pain in my chest amplified, but I could still feel the bond. โWeโve done this before. Itโs not working.โ

โTell your wolf to accept it,โ Ayla said with a crack in her voice.

The muscles in my jaw tightened to a point I thought my teeth would shatter. The noise in my head from Kieran becoming almost unbearable.

โHe wonโt.โ

โMake him,โ she forced out.

โI canโt.โ

โHe doesnโt have a choice. Iโll never be with him, and neither will she,โ Ayla said, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

I could feel the pain he felt. It was excruciating. I told him it would end if he just accepted, but he wouldnโt give in. He was an Alpha. He was as strong as me. Iโd never overpower him on this. Ayla must have sensed my stalemate. Or her wolf did and told her because she pulled herself from against the wall, standing up straight again.

โI, Ayla Garner, cut my ties to Alpha Torinโฆโ

โWhat are you doing?โ There was desperation in my voice. She couldnโt do this. I moved to stop her.

โAnd the Greytooth Pack.โ

โNo.โ I fell to a knee, feeling the invisible tether that united pack members with their Alpha splinter. Kieran was pounding against the barriers of my control, putting all his might into taking over the shift. I knew I was on the verge.

โFrom this day forth, I am a rogue.โ She took an unsteady step toward me, silent tears rolling freely down her face. โNow get out.โ

She had used my fatherโs name. Either of our names would have worked in the limbo state we were currently in. But she used my fatherโs. There was nothing I could do to stop her. Nothing I could do to fight the separation. She knew exactly what she was doing.

If my wolf wouldnโt sever the mate bond, she would remove herself from any control I had over her.

With one final, agonizing look, she walked away, disappearing upstairs.

I took in a ragged breath of air. Ayla now had until midnight to be out of our territory. If I caught her on our land after that, I would have to murder her. Mate bond or not. She was a rogue now. It was our laws.

Kieran had finally gone still in my mind.

โMateโs gone.โ

Did he mean Ayla or her wolf?

โDasha. Mateโs name is Dasha. Dashaโs gone.โ

Realization hit me and panic set in. Her wolf was gone. The pain was too much. She had retreated deep into the recesses of Aylaโs subconscious. Ayla wouldnโt be able to call on her. She wouldnโt be able to shift. She wouldnโt be able to heal.

She was a rogue without a wolf. She couldnโt protect herself.

I had to get as far away from her as possible.

I dragged myself back to my feet, forcing them to walk out the door.

Chapter 5: Ayla
The moment the door was closed, I sank to the floor. It was no longer sobs that escaped my body but soul-shattering screams.

She said I abandoned her.

Theo made it sound like I spent my teen years partying and getting into trouble. She said I dropped out of high school.

She said I wasnโt a sister to her.

The betrayal was soul-crushing.

I had given up everything for them.

I screamed and let the tears flow freely until my body ached. As soon as it felt like I could breathe without being stabbed by a red-hot dagger, I pulled myself up and started moving. I only had a few hours to get my things and get out of Greytooth territory.

I had made myself a rogue. I didnโt have a pack anymore. And I had no idea where I was going to go. All the borders on this side of the territory sat right against other pack lands. To get out of one, Iโd have to enter another. But it was my only option. Trying to get to unclaimed territory was too risky. I would have better luck on foreign pack land than on the land I just severed ties to.

After leaving a note for Zeff, I packed up and drove away.

The Greytooth Pack may not be the largest in population, but they had one of the biggest territories. The closest border crossing was nearly two hours away. And I needed to be far away before Zeff got home. I couldnโt have him tracking me down.

Especially since I didnโt give him much of an explanation.

But it was better this way. I wasnโt going to risk him cutting ties and going rogue as well. Because he would. He would hold Theo responsible, and he would never stay in a pack with an alpha he didnโt respect, let alone hate. This way, the note I left would have just made it seem like I got cold feet about us being together.

I drove to the outskirts of town and got on the highway. From there, it was practically a straight shot to the border. I was grateful at first, but after about an hour, I realized the monotonous ride only left my mind wondering and worrying and thinking about things I didnโt need to think about.

When Theo found me in the yard that first day, I had no idea what he would say. His initial reaction to our meeting had me thinking he would pursue the pairing. But then his increasingly icy demeanor throughout the evening made it seem like he was thinking along the same lines I was. He wasnโt going to hurt Kylee for someone he didnโt know.

He loved her. She loved him. I had no idea who he was, nor he I. We could reject each other and just go on our way. Neither one of us would have to break Kyleeโs heart. I thought he was keeping me from my family to be cruel. Or maybe to make things easier for both of us.

But today, his words revealed a different motive. He didnโt reject me for Kylee. He rejected me because of her. Because he believed what she said and painted me as some coldhearted delinquent. But why? I just couldnโt figure that out.

Dad died in a gas explosion along with my aunt and uncle ten years ago. I was fourteen, and Kylee was nine. Our thirteen-year-old cousin, Mina, came to live with us for a while after their deaths. Ma was hit pretty hard by the loss, so the three of us quickly started taking care of each other. We spent every spare minute with each other. Then our financial situation changed. Kylee was entirely too young, and Mina had been through enough losing both her parents for me to put that on her. So, it was up to me to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads.

But I was still fourteen. Finding jobs that paid enough to support a family of four at the age of fourteen was non-existent. I would need to work multiple jobs, and there just wasnโt enough time in the day. So, I approached the headmaster at my private high school and confided my situation with him. I was desperate not to drop out or risk my grades dropping and losing my scholarship. My parents didnโt pay a dime of my tuition.

Headmaster Fordham was a miracle worker. He helped me test out of over eighty percent of my academic requirements by the end of my freshman year. I only had to take four summer classes to graduate a week after my fifteenth birthday. I was even able to broker a deal with him that would set the remaining three years of my scholarship fund aside for Kylee when it came time for her to attend high school.

I still ended up working multiple jobs for several years. But no matter what, I always tried to be there for Kylee as much as possible.

Everything I did was for her.

I completely lost touch with all of my school friends. I never partied. I barely socialized. The jobs I held were really the only place that happened. But I was home to take her to school every morning, and I ensured I had at least an hour to help her with her homework almost every day.

I didnโt discuss the lengths I went to with Kylee. I didnโt want her to feel bad or that it was her fault. And I didnโt want her to see what Ma was going through. She was struggling to keep any job. She was drinking daily. There were even a couple of times she racked up gambling debts that put us in some scary situations.

But I never let Kylee see any of that. It was my job to protect them.

There was so much more that didnโt add up with what Theo had said. But I didnโt get to think about it further.

A searing pain shot through my chest, making my vision go white at the edges, blinding me to a point I almost missed the figure standing in the road before me.

My heart jumped into my chest. I turned the wheel as sharp as I could, slamming on the brakes to avoid hitting them head-on. The moment I did it, I felt foolish. Within seconds, I was spinning through the air and sliding down an embankment.

When the vehicle came to a stop, I was upside down. I registered the smell of blood, but everything was blurry. I didnโt feel significant pain, so I didnโt think the blood was coming from me.

The person on the road!

I scrambled out of the car and up the incline. Without Dasha, I couldnโt see well in the dark, but I could see a blurry figure moving toward me.

โAre you okay?โ I called.

I didnโt catch what they were saying because I suddenly felt the world falling out from beneath my feet, and everything went dark.

Chapter 6: Theo
I said I would break her if that was what it took.

And I certainly followed through with that.

Aylaโs hard exterior had cracked and shattered before me.

I had driven over an hour, and my stomach was still in knots. So much so that I had to stop to throw up at one point. Guilt tore at me.

I really had been cruel to her.

Especially since it turned out it wasnโt even her fault the bond hadnโt broken. She and Dasha had accepted my rejection. They had done what I needed them to do. Ayla had stayed away from Kylee and me. She hadnโt tried to be around them. From what I could tell, she hadnโt even called Kylee like she used to. And how did I repay her? By ripping her apart with every intention of doing as much damage as possible.

It was my wolf that was still hanging on. It was Kieran who kept us in a constant state of heartache. Kept Ayla in a constant state of pain.

And then she had to go and do something foolish and cut herself out of the pack. She was completely lost to us now. The only thing I could do was tell myself it was what I wanted. It was the only way to get rid of the temptation and put enough distance between us until Kylee and I were marked and mated and leading our pack.

Every time I said it, Kieran was there to argue.

By the time I pulled up to the packhouse, I was so pissed that anyone around instantly took a wide birth. My aura was probably so intense that I was making everyone physically uncomfortable, but I really didnโt care.

I was going to head to my office but decided against it. Too many people had access to me there, and I really didnโt need anyone coming around.

What I needed was to work off some of this rage and pent-up energy.

I made a beeline for the private training room in the wing of the packhouse reserved for ranking members of the pack. I was relieved to find it empty, tugging my shirt over my head and immediately heading to the punching bag in the corner.

I had worked up a sweat when Briggs entered the room. Walking over to me with his usual swagger, his arms crossed over his chest as he leaned against the wall close by. He knew something was up. He had been hounding me about it since we got back from Kyleeโs house. So had my mother, but I sure wasnโt going down that road.

Briggs was my Beta. We had been friends since we were eight and had been through everything together since then. I didnโt think there was anything we could hide from each other. But I surely wanted to hide this from him. So I just ignored his presence.

โYou ready to tell me what is going on with you? Or at least, where you were today?โ he said loud enough to be heard over the sound of my fists hitting the bag.

โNo.โ

โIf you donโt, weโll sedate you. Your aura is out of control right now, bro. This isnโt about you just being in a pissy mood anymore,โ Briggs said with an edge to his voice that meant he was serious.
I yelled as I hit the bag hard one more time. I winced as I forced my fingers through my hair. I hadnโt realized I had been breaking the skin on my knuckles. I fell back against the wall, sliding down to the floor.

โYou know Iโm here for you, bro,โ my Beta said calmly. โWhatever it is, you can talk to me.โ
I nodded.

โTell him.โ

I winced at Keiranโs demand. But I couldnโt really disagree anymore.

โI found my mate,โ I admitted. I could feel Briggsโ eyes go wide in his head.

โWhat do you mean you found your mate?โ he took a step closer. โPlease tell me youโre talking about Kylee.โ

I shook my head. โNo. I found my fated mate.โ

โWhat. The. Fu-โ He had warned me about this when I first got involved with Kylee and again when we announced our mating ceremony. โWhere is she? Who is she?โ

โI rejected her. Sheโs gone.โ

โTheo, man, youโre really scaring me now. Why would you do that? What were you thinking?โ Briggs demanded.

โSheโs Kyleeโs sister,โ I snapped. Briggs tensed up.

โAyla? As in the sister that allegedly abandoned Kylee?โ

His use of the word โallegedlyโ pissed me off and confused me a little. He really liked Kylee. Theyโve always gotten along. Even when he was cautioning me about finding my mate, he told me he was happy for me.

โAre you trying to say Kylee is lying?โ I snapped.

He made a face. โNo, but I do think itโs foolish to reject your mate without all the information.โ

โI have all the information I need.โ

โNo, you have Kyleeโs side of the story,โ Briggs said with a worried look.

โAnd their motherโs,โ I added.

Briggs scoffed. โLook, Marie Garner is a nice enough lady, but I wouldnโt exactly trust her judgment.โ

โWhat are you talking about?โ I asked, my own concern growing.

โBro, sheโs a lush,โ Briggs said with a shrug. โNot that youโve been around enough to notice since sheโs been here. I canโt tell how bad, and she seems pretty harmless. But these things often have a dark side that no one sees.โ

I couldnโt believe we were having this conversation. The last thing I needed was any kind of doubt in my decision.

โWhatever. It doesnโt matter. Whatโs done is done. And Aylaโs reactions to all of this told me all I needed to know from her.โ I pushed myself to my feet.

โWhat were her reactions?โ Briggs asked cautiously, and I realized my choice of words may have given away more than I intended. I knew he wouldnโt let it go unless he was sure I told him everything.

โWhich time?โ I said quietly.

โExcuse me?โ He heard exactly what I said. โWhat happened, Theo?โ

โShe never argued or fought the rejection. She agreed and accepted it the first day we met like it was nothing. She had no response, no rebuttal, no explanation,โ I told him. โYou have to be coldhearted to feel nothing after breaking a mate bond.โ

โOr extremely strong,โ Briggs stated. โYou said she didnโt argue or fight. Did you even give her a chance to speak or even get to know anything about her before you threw her to the curb? Or did you just walk up to her and say tough words?โ

I grimaced. Thatโs exactly what happened. โThere wasnโt exactly an opportunity for that. Neither one of us wanted Kylee to find out.โ

The muscles in his neck flexed as he tensed. โYou said โwhich time.โ When did you see her again?โ

โThis morning.โ

โWhy?โ

I could tell he was choosing his words carefully.

โKylee wanted a necklace of her motherโs that was left at their house for some appointment this week. I went back to get it.โ

โOkay, someone else could have done that. Why did you go?โ Briggs pushed, but the words stuck in my throat. โTheo, youโre hurting. Thereโs no way this is as cut and dry as youโre trying to say it is.โ

โThe bond didnโt break. Not completely.โ

โGoddess, Theo. So you both have been walking around with your hearts ripped open for the past week?โ Briggs said. โSo, what happened today? Why are you still on the edge of ripping half the packโs throats out?โ

Images of that morning flashed through my head. The fear that something had happened to her when she hadnโt been home. The jealousy and rage at finding her at another maleโs house. The way it felt when I kissed her. And sheer pain and anguish of everything that followed.

โTheo?โ Briggs pressed.

โShe cut her ties to the pack,โ I said solemnly. โShe turned herself rogue.โ

โTheo,โ Briggs bellowed, โhow could you let that happen? Why didnโt you stop her?โ

โShe cut herself from Dad. She used his name. There was nothing I could do. I had no way of fighting it.โ I was done with this conversation. โSo none of this matters. Itโs done. Sheโs gone. Sheโs never coming back. Doing so would be a death sentence, and she knew that.โ

โWhat have you done, Theo?โ

โIt doesnโt matter,โ I yelled. โWhatever I did or didnโt do, she never wanted me anyway. Sheโs not my problem anymore. So right now, Iโm going to worry about cleaning up the mess she made and figure out how to tell Kylee and Marie that theyโll never see her again. And donโt you dare breathe a word about any of this to them, do you understand me?โ

โOkay. Okay,โ Briggs said, raising his hands in the air, trying to calm me down. โYouโre right. Thereโs nothing we can do about her now. If itโs done and over with, then itโs done and over with. Weโll move on.โ

I wasnโt sure he believed it, but I didnโt care. Like I said, she wasnโt my problem anymore.

I went back to my room. There was a knock on my room door, and Kylee poked her head in before I had a chance to answer.
โThere you are, mate,โ she cooed, sitting in my lap.
She ran a hand up my chest, leaning in to kiss me. Kieranโs growl started immediately.
I still needed to let off some steam. Anything to get some relief.
I was about to respond to her when blinding pain erupted through my body. | LEARN_MORE | https://storyaholic.readlife.mobi/6p33cmijs00.html | 100972718815811 | Holic of novels | https://facebook.com/100071831618482 | 1,865 | 1 | 289,035,670,707,352 | 2024-03-25 02:00 | person_profile | eligible | 0 | 0 | NONE | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 | Learn more | 0 | Holic of novels | 120207526943940731 | storyaholic.readlife.mobi | NONE | video | https://storyaholic.readlife.mobi/6p33cmijs00.html | 2024-03-25 03:32 | https://scontent-atl3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/420261660_765350152261669_2909379595198431199_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s60x60&_nc_cat=102&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=qWQBZrDZyNUAX9zN-J5&_nc_ht=scontent-atl3-2.xx&oh=00_AfAbnQwK0ShX0ZkoBi4W_2rLc1DXq6XWGUAPAW34y5y31A&oe=660A1476 | person_profile | 0 | Holic of novels | https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/419257607_466162789067652_4711056792188451876_n.jpg?_nc_cat=108&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=4Rtus_WBmB8AX-LutD-&_nc_ht=scontent-atl3-1.xx&oh=00_AfBEBRRPkHzc0phQYUBBtgvn7sfJf-k25Pk8vYDZbI37gw&oe=66094C01 | 0 | 3 | Holic of novels | 0 | 0 | 2024-03-25 02:00 | View Edit Delete

Yes | 2024-03-27 22:52 | active | 362 | 0 | 1091282455465186 | How does vasodilation trigger migraine in the trigeminovascular system? | The trigeminovascular system is a physiological network involving the trigeminal nerve, cranial blood vessels, brain stem, thalamus, and cortex. Its main function is to transmit nociceptive signals that ultimately generate the perception of migraine pain. The process begins with dilation of meningeal arteries, leading to activation of neurons in the trigeminal ganglion, which propagate nociceptive signals to the brain stem. These signals then ascend to neurons in the thalamus and eventually reach the cortex, where they are processed and perceived as migraine pain.

DOI: https://bit.ly/3x0Zon4

Watch our animation to find out more: | MESSAGE_PAGE | 1177000815657627 | Sci Ani | https://facebook.com/scianimation | 33,167 | 1 | 1,195,408,408,098,172 | 2024-03-26 02:00 | person_profile | eligible | 0 | 0 | NONE | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | Send message | 0 | Sci Ani | 6560590435863 | NONE | video | {"type":"VISUAL_EDITOR","version":2,"landing_screen_type":"welcome_message","media_type":"text","text_format":{"customer_action_type":"ice_breakers","message":{"ice_breakers":[{"title":"Can I learn more about your business?"},{"title":"Can you tell me more about your ad?"},{"title":"Is anyone available to chat?"}],"quick_replies":[],"text":"Hi, {{user_first_name}}! Yes | 2024-03-27 22:52 | active | 362 | 0 | 981488273312582 | ๐Click to Read more about๐Rejecting My Alpha Mate๐ | Finding your mate is everything.

At least, that is what we are taught from a young age. When every wolf turns eighteen, they go through every trial they think of to find their destined soulmate. It's something that every wolf looks forward to. It's the next chapter in our lives.

I knew that with my eighteenth birthday coming quickly, I was going to be taking that next step. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I was ready. I wasn't like the other she-wolves.

I didn't dream about being a mate and a stay-at-home mother to my future children. I dreamed of being the best warrior in history, and I had been training for it since I was a small child.

My mother was a rejected mate. My father, Patrick, was a cruel man. When he met my mother, he made her believe that mates were everything. That he was going to spend his life with her. However, once he slept with her, he rejected her. All because her family didn't come from money, and he had better benefits marrying my stepmother - Monica.

Little did he know he got my mother pregnant before he rejected her. I was what kept her alive. I was what kept her going and kept her from depression and insanity. It was what happened to her that made me hesitant on believing in mates. It was also what drove me to be the best warrior there ever was.

You can't depend on a man to be there for you. You can't depend on a man to protect you if you don't take the initiative to protect yourself out there in the world. Then you're going to end up dead.

"Jesse, breakfast is ready!" My mother called from downstairs.

"Coming, mom!" I yelled back as I looked at myself in the mirror one last time.

I was an independent woman, and there was no man alive that could change my mind about who I wanted to be.

As I came down the stairs, my eyes caught the pictures on the wall. Leading downwards or upwards depending on which way you went. I couldn't help but smile to myself at all the pictures of my mom, and then me and my friends and me. I slid down the banister the rest of the way and made the skip into the kitchen.

"Good morning, mom," I said as I side-stepped and grabbed my plate from her.

She turned and kissed my cheek, "Good morning, my starlight." I smiled and sat down at the kitchen table, eating away at my breakfast.

"Jess."

I looked up when my mom called on me. "Hmm?"

"You haven't told me what you want for your birthday yet."

I chuckled softly. "I told you I don't need anything, Mom," I answered her as I shoved eggs into my mouth.

She was about to say something when one of my good friends, Adam, came barging in like he owned the place.

"Jess! Hurry up; we're late!" He whined at me. I rolled my eyes, knowing full well we were not late.

"Can't a girl eat in peace?" I whined back at Adam, who shrugged.

"I guess," he came over and plopped himself on the couch.

"Good morning, Ms. Spencer!" My mom smiled and looked over at Adam. "Good morning, Adam."

I finished my food and plopped my dish in the sink before kissing my mom's cheek and saying goodbye to her. I grabbed Adam by the ear and dragged him out the door. He whined the whole way till we got to our other friends at the front of the Pack House.

"You're mean," Adam whined as he rubbed his ear. Sasha chuckled at his misery. "Shut up, McCarthy!" Adam gave a playful glare toward the only other main male of our friend group.

There was Adam, Sasha and my main best friend, Amy. Amy and I have known each other the longest through our moms being friends.

Adam refused to leave us alone until we became friends with him. We enjoyed his company regardless. Poor Sasha was dragged into our group through Adam's antics. We kept them around when Amy and I noticed how Sasha was able to calm Adam down in the best of times.

My stepbrother Noah joined in our little group on occasion, but it was an uncommon occurrence.

Amy rolled her eyes at the pair. "Come on, love birds, let's get going before the Alpha barks at us for being late." She teased Sasha and Adam as she linked arms with me, and we made our way to the training fields in the back.

As we made our way through the house, Sasha and Adam started talking my ear off about my birthday and what type of birthday party I should have. It took every bit of my strength not to throw them across the fields.

"How about this," I said finally, annoyed at their whimpers, "If I let you two plan out a good 18th birthday, will you two drop the topic?" When I tell you, I had never seen their heads nod so fast. I chuckled.

"Good," I sighed, "Now can we get to training? I need some sparing work."

The pair nodded, and we were able to make it out to the fields in time.

***

The training lasted a good few hours before Beta Caleb let us go for lunch. I looked over towards where some of the pups were playing, under the watch of a few she-wolves.

I made a small headcount of the pups and noticed one was missing. 'Where could-,' my thoughts were cut off when I heard a yell. I turned and noticed a rouge horse from out of nowhere speeding down the back road towards a lone pup who was trying to catch a bug.

Without hesitation, I sped off and grabbed the pup before the horse could squash them. I held them in my arms as they shook from slight shock.

"It's okay," I said to them softly, "You're safe now, pup." The pup looked up at me and nodded, nuzzling my cheek as a thank you.

"Kaden!" I heard to the left of me. The pup in my arms looked, and their eyes lit up. "Momma!" I smiled and gently put them down, going with them as they ran into their mother's arms.

"Oh! Are you okay? When I heard the ruckus, I-!"

"It's okay, momma," the little pup cut her off, "She helps me!"

I looked at the mother as the pup pointed at me. His mother smiled thankfully at me as she picked him up. "Thank you, Jesse," She thanked me.

I brushed her off. "It's no problem." She nodded and turned to take the little pup inside. I followed a few feet behind them as the other pups rushed to get inside.

I looked up and saw Alpha Jaxson sucking face with Celeste Daniels. The two had been dating for a little over two years, and it was annoying to no end since they were constantly 'on-and-off.

I got the attention of a few of the pups before pointing at Alpha Jaxson and Celeste, making a gagging noise. I smirked as the pups giggled, making Celeste mad. It was fun ticking her off.

"Something funny, Spencer?" She gave me a growl.

"No more than that clown paint you call makeup, Daniels," I retaliated. I watched as she scoffed at me and put on her usual 'crocodile tears' for the Alpha.

I rolled my eyes at her. I was about to walk past them when Jaxson grabbed my wrist. "Jess-!" He was about to say something when his eyes widened as if I gave him electric shock from touching a doorknob. He suddenly dropped my hand. "Don't touch me," I glared at him before walking off.

I wasn't but a few paces before he grabbed me by the shoulder and turned me around to face him. "Don't tell me what to do, little wolf," he growled, standing over me, "Or I'll show you the true big bad wolf you want,"

I tell you, if the situation couldn't get any more awkward, it just did. I figured that Alpha Jaxson's attention to detail was a front for his playboy ways, but this was ridiculous. Another awkward moment passed between us before I pulled myself away.

"Get off me." I turned away and hurried away from him, holding my arms around me in a protective manner. As I walked away, I couldn't get the thought out of my head: 'What the h*ll is his problem?'

..............................................................................
When I was young, my parents told me a secret. They told me of the way an Alpha was to find his Luna.

It all starts with a simple touch or even a quick brush of the hand. Then comes the feeling of sparks being sent through your entire body, ending with a fire in your chest.

As I got older, I made myself believe that it was all just a story. That belief only solidified when my father passed, and mom was left with a broken heart. My wolf was awakened at the feeling of sparks sent through my body whenever I grabbed Jesse's hand. Her stubborn nature and independent aura intrigued my wolf, and to an extent, it intrigued me as well.

The feeling of the sparks ultimately left me confused. There was no way my wolf would awaken just now after one touch. He was most likely restless because we were going to be twenty soon and had yet to find our mate.

It couldn't possibly mean anything. This was nothing more than a sick joke, a weird coincidence. There was no possible way that Jesse was my mate. We know nothing about each other. We're rarely ever in the same area as one another.

I knew Celeste was trying to get my attention as she grabbed my face to force me to look at her.

"Jaxson, what's wrong? You look sick."

I felt myself and my wolf cringe at how ridiculous she sounded. My mind was filled with thoughts of Jesse as my wolf yearned to get her attention.

I grabbed Celeste's hands and took them off my face. "Don't you have Pups to be watching?" I asked her. She scoffed at me before shoving me away and walking off. I had to restrain myself from going to bite her head off for such disrespect.

I watched her walk away before my gaze turned back to Jesse. My wolf ached to get closer to her, but I refrained. I leaned myself against the wall, watching her as she went about conversing with her friends. They seemed to be excitedly planning something while asking others to join them.

I looked over my shoulder and saw my Beta Caleb clasping his hand onto me. "What's that girl's problem?" I asked him as my focus turned from him to her. I pointed her out amongst her friends. "Who her?" Caleb asked as he looked in the direction I was looking.

"Yes, her," I said as I shoved him. Caleb shrugged and looked to his left. I followed his gaze and saw Gray coming over to us.

"What are you two looking at?"

I gestured towards Jesse. Gray looked over and started laughing.

"What?"

"Dude, are you scooping out Jesse Spencer?"

I glared at him, crossing my arms. "And what if I am?"

Caleb threw an arm around me. "You don't even know an ounce about her. Or if she even likes you."

Gray nodded as he leaned against the wall next to me. "Besides," he said, "She's still looking to be about seventeen." I hummed and bit my lip.

"However," Gray continued, "A little birdie told me that her birthday's Friday. That's why her friends are so excited to plan her a party."

I looked back and noticed Jesse had walked off with her friends. I saw Noah James walking by and whistled at him to get him to come over.

"Did you need something, Alpha?" He asked as he came over.

"You and Jesse are close, right?"

Noah nodded, "We're step-siblings."

I nodded, biting my lip. "Do you know if she's ever shown interest in me?" Noah snorted, trying to hold back a laugh.

"No offense, Alpha," he answered, "But besides her training, Jesse hasn't shown any interest in anyone."

"Well," Gray starts, "What is she like? Do you think Jaxson can swoon her over?"

I raised an eyebrow at him. I watched Noah grow nervous. He seemed hesitant to answer. I could tell he was anxious about getting in trouble if he spoke freely.

"Noah, it's okay," I tried to assure him, "You can speak freely."

Noah still seemed hesitant to speak. I waited patiently for him to say what he had to say. I didn't expect the answer I got from him after about another moment of silence.

"Honestly, you don't stand a chance," he answered, "She thinks you to be presumptuous, andโwhat was the word she used before?โ a playboy who thinks he deserves whatever he wants."

I was left speechless as my 'friends' laughed at my reaction. Noah gave a nervous smile.

"But hey, who knows," he said as he shrugged his shoulders, "Her birthday's Friday so, maybe you could sweep her off her feet. Assuming she doesn't find her mate at the beginning of the party."

Oh, if only they knew.

***

Over the next couple of days, I threw myself into work. I focused on errands around the Packhouse while also listening in on any update on Jesse's party. Call it stalking if you want, but I couldn't trust Caleb and Gray to find out if they had their own things to deal with.

Through my work around the house, I learned that the party was going to be at Amy and Adam Knight's house. Almost half of the pack was going to be there. That made things a bit difficult, knowing that it would be somewhat of a challenge finding Jesse in such a crowd of others.

The more time I spent away from Jessie, the more my wolf wanted to be nearer to her. Quite honestly, it was all rather distracting. I would be In my office trying to get work done, when all of a sudden, I'd hear whimpering and whining within my head.

I had to remind my wolf that Jesse was only seventeen, and we weren't certain that she was our mate. Regardless, my wolf kept pursuing Jesse. What made it even more difficult was during the couple of days before the party, it seemed that Jesse and I would somehow be in the same area at the same time.

I knew that the more I neglected my wolf, the harder it would be to control him. However, my goal wasn't to scare Jesse away.

Thursday before the party, all the warrior wolves were out training. I wanted to see the progress myself, so I watched over them all with Caleb. Most of them were sparing, either in human or wolf form.

I noticed Jesse sparing off with one of her friends near the back middle of the field. My wolf was howling at me to get over there and spar with Jesse, but I refrained. Fortunately, Caleb was a welcomed distraction as he started talking to me about neighboring packs.

"Remember you have meetings all morning tomorrow," he reminded me. I nodded and rubbed the back of my neck.

"I know; I also have papers to go through before the party."

Caleb nodded before returning his focus back to the field. "So, have you found her yet?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"What?"

"Your Luna," Caleb rephrased, "Have you found her yet? Or is Celeste trying to pull your d*ck?"

I bit back a laugh. "No, I haven't found her yet," I answered him. There was a pause between us.

"What about you?" I nudged him with my elbow. "Have you found your special someone yet?" Caleb blushed and looked away. I smirked. "You have, haven't you~," I teased.

"N-Not exactly," he mumbled. I leaned off a little.

"What? What do you mean?"

Caleb rubbed the back of his neck. "I did find them, but I'm not sure if they like me." I was taken aback.

"What? You're kidding me, right?" I clapped him on the back. "Any girl would be lucky to have you!"

He chuckled and gave me a thankful smile.

"Thanks, man, but enough about me. What's your game plan for tomorrow?"

I paused, having it dawn on me that I had no idea how I was going to get Jesse's attention tomorrow.

"A~nd, he's got nothing~!" Caleb teased me back. I shoved him.

"Well, what do you suggest I go?" I glared at him playfully. Caleb shrugged.

"Offer her a drink? Try and get her alone to talk? ACTUALLY, talk to her?" He listed off, "you got quite a few options."

"And what if her friends try and steal her away?" I countered. Caleb rolled his eyes.

"You're the Alpha, dumb*ss," he said, "You can just steal her away for a quick chat."

I sighed and nodded, signaling that he was right. I looked out towards the training warriors; my eyes locked on Jesse. Tomorrow night was the night. I was going to make sure Jesse was my mate and wasn't planning on ever letting her go.

Now all I needed was the perfect way to get to talk to her. I wonder if Noah would be able to help me out.

..............................................................................
The day of the party came quicker than I couldโve imagined. I woke up to the smell of pancakes and sausages.

I sat up in bed and smiled as I saw a present on my desk. I figured mom mustโve gone out of her way to get me something. I got up and went to get ready for the day before my attention turned to the present on the desk.

I opened the present slowly and smiled when I saw that it was a new outfit. I kept it folded before setting it out for later. I would wear it to the party.

I straightened myself out before going downstairs. I smiled as I saw mom sitting at the table, sipping her usual coffee.

โGood morning, mom,โ I said as I came into the kitchen, grabbing a plate.

Mom smiled happily, โGood morning, birthday girl.โ

I blushed softly and went over to her, hugging her from behind.

โWhat time is your big party?โ She asked me as I sat down to eat breakfast.

I shrugged, โProbably around 7? Something like that.โ

Knowing Amy and Adam, the house was going to be crowded with other young adult wolves.

Speaking of Amy and AdamโโGood Morning, bestie!โโthere they were, coming into the house bright and early like usual.

I looked up at them, pancake in my mouth. I took a moment to swallow.

โAre you two ever going to let me eat breakfast in peace?โ I raised an eyebrow at them.

Adam shook his head as Amy crossed her arms. โWould we be your best friends if we didnโt?โ Amy raised her eyebrow back at me.

I chuckled and shook my head, โNo, no, you wouldnโt be.โ I stretched before I shoved the last bit of breakfast into my mouth.

I stood and made sure I had my training clothes before I said goodbye to mom and left to get to training.

As excited, I was for my party; I had to keep focusing on my ultimate goal. I couldnโt risk any โfree days.โ Being the best warrior wasnโt going to be given to me; I had to prove myself.

***

I took a moment to breathe as I got changed into my outfit for the party. I had been so busy training that I couldnโt see where the time went.

It seemed that before I could blink, it was time to get ready for the party. I raced home after Sasha said they would get me later.

I felt my heart moving a thousand miles a minute. I couldnโt tell if it was from excitement or nerves. Tonight was the night, the night I found my mate. There was no stopping the inevitable.

โJesse!โ I heard mom from downstairs, โSashaโs here!โ

I looked at myself one final time before I made my way downstairs. As I got to the bottom of the steps, I saw Sasha all dressed up. I chuckled softly.

โWhat?โ They asked, โSomething on my face?โ I shook my head.

โNo, you look good. Iโve just never seen you so dressed up.โ I nudged them in the shoulder. Sasha chuckled and rubbed the back of their neck, blushing.

โCome on,โ They gestured to the door, โAmy and Adam will have my throat if the birthday girlโs late.โ

I rolled my eyes fondly and followed him out the door, waving goodbye to mom. The way the pack lands were set up was like a gated Cul-de-Sac in a large suburban area in Uptown Sacramento. The main Packhouse was in the middle, and separate houses for Pack members surrounded it like some Suburbia satanic circle. It was home, though.

It didnโt take long to get to Amy and Adamโs. The closer we got, the louder the music became as the base of the music could be felt in your chest. We squeezed our way through the front as Sasha pulled me to where Amy and Adam were.

I couldnโt tell when the party had started, but already the house was starting to smell like s*x and alc*h*l. There mustโve been a third of the pack in the house. Everyone our age was here, wishing me โhappy birthdayโ as we passed.

I was about to say hey to Amy and Adam when a drink was shoved into my hands.

โDrink up, b*!โ Adam cheered, โTonightโs a night for partying!โ

I rolled my eyes and amused him by chugging my drink in three gulps. I passed him my cup, and he quickly scurried off to get me another. I settled into lively chatter with Amy and Sasha when Noah came over to wish me โhappy birthday.

โThanks, Noah,โ I smiled happily, giving him a hug.

He leaned into my ear. โJust a heads up, jealous Tally at 5 oโclock,โ he whispered before ruffling my hair and going off to his friends.

I looked towards the wall, and sure enough, Tally Ryder was staring daggers at me. I knew she had always been jealous of me, being the attention wh*re she was. I did my best to ignore her, focusing on my friends.

I was mid-conversation with Amy about some new training tactics when Tally came over and started making a fuss about my outfit.

โThat jacket looks cheap; where did you get it, Goodwill?โ She sneered.

I knew mom mustโve spent a lot of money on my outfit, so I tried to bite my tongue. Yet, Tally couldnโt seem to find the memo to shut her trap.

She went off, insisting that my outfit was cheap and would look better on her. With how loud she was being, several others started looking at us. I went to say something, but Sasha put their hand on my shoulder, stepping in front of me.

โAre you done?โ They started, โBecause youโre making a scene on JESSEโS birthday.โ

โShe doesnโt deserve all this!โ Tally whined.

I had to cover my ears with how loud she was. Sasha raised an eyebrow and crossed their arms.

โAnd you do?โ They countered, โYouโre nowhere close on the same level as Jesse to deserve this. So why donโt you fall back in line and let the rest of us have fun?โ

Tally was about to counter them when Sasha held their hand up to her.

โNope,โ they growled, โIf you want to be the pack bicycle, you can do it elsewhere because no one takes you seriously.โ

I couldnโt help but laugh as Sasha humiliated Tally in front of the others who started whispering around her. Tally was only making a fool of herself, but everyone was suffering for it. The next thing I knew, Tally shrieked her head off, and I had water thrown on my outfit.

I sidestepped Sasha and wiped my face before my attention turned to Tally, murder in my eyes. I grabbed Tally by her shirt.

โTally, Ryder,โ I growled, โYou have five seconds to get the h*ll out of my sight, or Iโm not going to be able to restrain myself from beating your face into the ground-!โ

โWhat is going on over here?โ

I looked to my left as Alpha Jaxson came out of the crowd. I wasnโt focused on him. I was focused on not trying to pound Tallyโs face in.

โStand down, Spencer,โ Jaxson commanded. I turned to him.

โYouโre telling ME to back down when she started it?โ I countered him. His eyes glowed as he let out his alpha voice.

โSpencer,โ he growled, โStand down. Now.โ

I glared hard at him before I dropped Tally. I flicked my head to her, and she scurried away. My eyes locked back onto Jaxson, my face blood hot with anger.

I felt Amyโs hand on my shoulder, but I was too angry to let her calm me down.

โScrew this,โ I growled before I threw Amyโs hand off me, turned, and walked out of the living room. I stormed off to Amyโs room, going onto the balcony, needing air.

I groaned and slammed my hands on the railing, trying not to pull my hair out. I sighed as I slowly calmed down from my outburst.

โSome birthday this is turning out to be,โ I sighed as I looked up towards the moon. The smell of honeysuckle, lavender, and hyacinth was the only thing keeping me calm.

Little did I know how worse the night was going to get.

..............................................................................
If my plan to get close to Jesse didnโt backfire already, then this sure did it. I looked down as Tally caught her breath before she stood. Everyone went about doing their own thing. I was caught off guard as Tally latched herself onto me.

โAlpha Jaxson, you have to do something about Jesse!โ She cried, grabbing onto my arm. I refrained from rolling my eyes at her.

โWhat do you want me to do about Jesse?โ I crossed my arms at her. She looked gobsmacked for a brief moment.

โAre you kidding?!โ She shrieked, โDid you not see what just happened?! She tried to kill me!โ

Celeste went over and gently hugged her, if not a bit awkwardly. โIs she always like that?โ She asked. Tally nodded and rubbed her face.

โAlways! Sheโs been like that since we were little,โ She whined, holding her empty cup close to her.

I shifted on my feet slightly as my wolf whined within me. I listened closely to Tally as she went off about all the horrible things Jesse had ever done to her. I rubbed my temple as my wolf growled within me.

โI guess he doesnโt like this trash talk,โ I thought to myself as Tally continued to whine.

โShe even had the nerve to punch me in the chest!โ Tally cried as she held her chest, โI think itโs bruised!โ

I sighed and rubbed my face as I straightened up. โWell, she is the packโs best warrior,โ I said, โI could take you back to the packhouse to see the doctor.โ

The look of shock across Celesteโs face didnโt go unnoticed; however, as Alpha, I was worried that Tally was seriously injured. Iโve seen our warriors in battle; I know the number of injuries they can achieve when focused.

I watched as both Celesteโs and Tallyโs body language changed. Celeste crossed her arms as she refused to look at me. Tally seemed a bit nervous, holding her empty cup to the point she was starting to crush it.

โWell?โ I addressed Tally, โAre we going to the doctor?โ

Tally shook her head and stepped back some. โN-No, thank you, Alpha,โ She answered. I hummed; I figured she was lying.

Celeste started laughing awkwardly, and she went over to Tally. โWeโll figure out a proper punishment for Jesse,โ She said, โRight, Jaxson?โ

I bit my lip, feeling like this was a bad idea. I was sure Celeste was just trying to be a good friend. Reluctantly, I agreed to Celeste, and Tally seemed to relax.

โWhy donโt you go enjoy the rest of the party?โ I suggested to her.

Tally nodded and walked off. I assumed she was going to get something else to drink. I looked at Celeste, feeling annoyed that she tried to intercept my authority. I was about to say something when Celeste pulled me to the hallway.

โHow did you know Jesse was a warrior?โ She confronted me. I gave her a look, โis she serious?โ I pinched the bridge of my nose.

โAre you serious? You do realize who youโre talking to, right?โ I couldnโt understand why she was being so jealous.

Celeste crossed her arms, pouting like a child. โYou are MY boyfriend, not hers.โ She whined. I could feel my wolf within me wanting to rip her tongue out for sounding so annoying. I shut him down.

โYouโre acting like a child,โ I said to her as I held her hand. She huffed, pulling her hand away. โHow am I acting like a child when youโre talking to another girl.โ

โCeleste,โ I growled softly, grabbing her hands again. โHow long have we been together? You really believe I would be looking for other girls when weโve been together for two years?โ

Celeste relaxed a bit, wrapping her arms around herself as she looked up at me. โYou said I would be Luna. You promised.โ I sighed, feeling exhausted from this discussion.

โI know, Celeste,โ I said as I gently cupped her cheek to try and calm her. โBelieve me; I am yours and no one elseโs.โ I ignored the sudden pain in my chest at my words.

Celeste seemed to relax at my words as she gently cupped my face and kissed me hard. I hummed softly as I kissed her back, ignoring the ugly feeling within my gut.

She pulled away and smirked softly. She pulled me into the kitchen, getting me a cup of alc*h*l. โLetโs enjoy ourselves,โ She said, getting a cup for herself, โIt is a party after all.โ

I nodded at her and downed the alc*h*l, getting myself another cup. I sipped my drink slowly as I looked around the house. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. It almost made me jealous.

My Alpha instincts were telling me to go search for my mate, but at this point, I just wanted to relax. Seeing everyone else having fun was making me tense.

For that, it didnโt take long for the cups of alc*h*l to stack up. Before I knew it, I was on my fourthโfifth? Sixth?โdrink. I was too drunk at that point to really care.

I groaned softly as Celeste sat me down on the couch, straddling my lap. She took my cup away from me as I watched her start to move her hips.

She let her hair down before she leaned in and kissed me deeply. I groaned against her lips as I kissed her back, my hands going to her hips.

I ignored my wolf as Celeste moved her hips against me, running her hands up my shirt. I hummed and moved my lips to her neck as I pulled her closer to me. I rubbed my hands against her thighs as I nipped along her neck.

She gasped and grabbed my shirt, continuing to move her hips against me. โJ-Jaxson,โ She gasped. I moved away to look at her.

I felt a familiar heat within me, one not from my wolf. My head was fuzzy from the alc*h*l and the blaring music that made my chest shake from the bass. My body seemed to be moving on its own.

Celesteโs perfume was almost sickeningly sweet as she leaned in and kissed my neck. She only moved away to take off my shirt.

โYouโre so tense,โ She purred softly as she tossed my shirt to the side. โMaybe I could help take care of that~?โ

At this point, I couldnโt think straight. I wasnโt thinking for myself, as the alc*h*l within my system made decisions for me. I had a feeling in the back of my head that I was going to be making the wrong choice, but I couldnโt have cared less at that moment.

I followed Celeste as she pulled me outside of the house and out towards the side of the house. Celeste pinned me up against the side of the house and gave me another hard kiss, working her hips against me.

I hummed and rolled my hips as she moved her lips downward. I pulled her back up before she could get too low, grabbing onto her shirt and practically tearing it off of her.

She gasped at the force in which I tore off her shirt, smirking as she bit her lip. I switched our positions and pinned her against the wall as I leaned down and started kissing at her br**sts, removing her bra.

Celeste gasped out a moan as she grabbed my hair with one hand. Her other hand was making quick work of my jeans. I dropped her bra into the grass as I moved my leg in between her thighs.

The air between us kept getting hotter and hotter as we did what stupid teenagers did. I made no attempts to realize how loud we were being or if anyone was outside with us. I growled softly as Celeste moaned out towards the sky.

โJaxson~!โ

..............................................................................
I looked up towards the stars before I checked my phone.

Midnight.

I was officially eighteen.

As it dawned on me that I was now eighteen, a strange scent overwhelmed me.

โMate,โ I heard within me. โWhat?โ I said to no one. It took a minute for me to realize my wolf was speaking to me.

โOur mate is near,โ She whined. โAre you, my wolf?โ I asked softly, whispering in case anyone could hear.

โI have always been your wolf, Jesse,โ my wolf replied, โI just havenโt made myself known till now. My name is Esme.โ I nodded to myself, wrapping my arms around myself as the night wind whisked about me. I looked out towards the backyard.

A good number of young wolves had moved from the confines of the house. They flocked almost every inch of the backyard, safe for the sides of the house.

I followed the scent, having it lead me out of the house. As I got closer to the side, the stronger the scent got. I stopped in my tracks when I heard moaning about five feet in front of me. I felt my wolf whine within me, clearly upset, but I didnโt know why. All too suddenly, a heavy feeling within my chest overcame me as if someone was pressing a stack of heavy books against my ribs.

I had to stop myself. I wasnโt used to this feeling. This feeling of heaviness. This dragging feeling of hands pulling me down by my chest. It was almost agonizing. There, standing under the light against the side of the house, was Alpha Jaxsonโhaving sex with Celeste Daniels.

Their bodies were illuminated in a glow of copper, with bits of hot honey that seemed to pool and fade against the red brick. Celesteโs legs were wrapped around Jaxson, her heels pushing against his back and pulling him closer to her. His face was buried into her neck. Although his moans were directed to her ear, each one I could hear was a shot to my heart.

I accidentally stepped on a branch, making Jaxson stop and turn his head to look at me. Our eyes locked, and all at onceโI was breathless.

No.

Not this.

Not him.

Anyone but him.

I watched them stop their previous rendezvous. It was more of Jaxson stopping and pushing himself away from Celeste more than anything. I saw Celesteโs eyes burn fire as anger raged within her.

I didnโt care. I was feeling too many things to care about.

I didnโt know how long I was standing there. I didnโt know how long I was silent. Celesteโs yelling was going in one ear and out the other.

โJesseโฆโ Jaxson looked at me, hurt in his eyes as he tried to touch me.

โF*ck,โ was the first thing I said, โAre you serious?!โ

Jaxson looked scared and hurt. How dare he? He was the one who did this. This was his choice. I was the victim, not him. He didnโt deserve to feel this hurtโthis betrayal.

โJesse, please,โ I looked to Jaxson as he grabbed my arm. I froze up. The last thing I wanted was him touching me; I yanked my arm away. โDonโt f*cking touch me,โ I growled as I moved towards the backyard.

I didnโt want him to explain. I didnโt want to hear his excuses. I didnโt care what he had to say to make this any better.

I shook my head and stepped back from him before I turned and ran back inside the house. I needed to find the others. I didnโt want to be here a second longer.

I covered my ears the best I could as I got back into the house. I saw Sasha dancing with Beta Caleb, looking like they were having a good time. I practically ran into Amy, who gently grabbed me by the shoulders. โJesse,โ she said as she looked at me, โwhat happened? Whatโs wrong?โ.

โI found my mate,โ I muttered, not meeting her eyes. I could feel her energy as she got excited. โWho? Who is it?โ I could feel her curiously.

โAn asshole,โ I shoved past her and hurried towards the door. I wanted to go home. I wanted to curl up and forget this ever happened. That tonight was nothing but a bad dream.

I ignored Amyโs cries for me to wait as I slipped my way through the crowd. I slipped my way out the front door and ran all the way home. I refused to take any chances in looking back.

Mom probably wasnโt expecting me home for a while; only the tiniest shine of light came from the kitchen. The other rooms were jet black, dead to the world as any other sleeping being. I made my way into the house slowly before cautiously going upstairs.

I all but stumbled into my room before hurrying to my bathroom. I held onto my sink as I tried to keep the inevitable tears from spilling out. I went to my shower and turned it on its hottest setting.

I undressed as I waited for the water to heat up, going into the shower after a few minutes. I practically scrubbed away my scalp as I shampooed my hair before rinsing. I wanted to get all traces of feeling dirty off of me.

I wanted to get his eyes out of my head. I wanted to forget him entirely. I wanted to just curl away into nothing.

I conditioned my hair before leaving it in. I grabbed the soap and scrubbed my body as hard as I could. The feeling of being dirty overwhelmed me.

I felt dirty for going and finding him.

I felt dirty for watching him give himself to Celeste.

I felt dirty for not being the one he wanted.

I just felt nothing but DIRTY.

No matter how hard I tried, I could not seem to feel clean.

I threw my soap at the wall of the shower as I sat on the floor, wrapping my arms around me. The only time I moved from the shower was when the water got cold. I refused to allow myself to skip training.

I dried off and got changed into clean pajamas before drying out my hair. I finished getting ready for bed before I collapsed onto my bed. I curled up under the covers, finding comfort in their warmth.

Here, I was away from Jaxson. Here, I was away from heartbreak. Here, I was safe and loved. I wanted to stay here forever, safe in the warmth of my blankets and pillows.

I grabbed my phone and put it on the charger after turning on some white noise. I looked up towards the ceiling; Esme whined within me.

โHe didnโt wait for usโฆ?โ I could tell she was confused and hurt as to why her mate was with another girl. โCeleste is his girlfriend,โ I answered her as I moved my hands onto my chest. The heaviness was back.

โHeโs a playboy,โ I said, reminding myself more than telling Esme. โHas he slept with a lot of women?โ I blinked, thinking it over.

โMostly Celeste,โ I answered her, rubbing my eyes. I yawned gently as I turned onto my shoulder. โWe donโt need him,โ I mumbled, burying my face into the pillow, โWe didnโt need him before, and we donโt need him now.โ

Esme whimpered within me, โWhat are we going to do with the mate bond?โ She seemed hesitant to ask. I blinked a bit, not saying anything for a moment.

She was right, though.

What was I going to do about the mate bond?

I had a feeling deep within me that Jaxson was going to come for me. I had no intention to forgive him for the heartbreak he caused me. I had no intention to forgive him and act like nothing was wrong.

He deserved to work for what he had done. If he truly wanted me as his mate, he had to work for his right to call me his own.

I wasnโt going to give in to him so easily because he was my Alpha. If I truly was his mate, I was his true equal, not his inferior.

I refused to let myself be suede his charms.

I refused to give up on my goals.

No one was going to deter me from getting my ultimate goal of being the best warrior this pack had ever seen. No one, not even Jaxson.

I sighed and pulled the blankets up to my shoulders. I slowly fell into a numb-like slumber, fearful of the morning to come.

..............................................................................
The hurt in her eyes was enough to slap me sober. All at once, my senses were awakened as my eyes locked with hers.

She was my mate.

She was to be my Luna.

My equal.

The mother to my future children.

Yet, with one look, it was all taken away from me. All because I had to be a drunk fool and mess around with Celeste because she was โeasy.โ This was the end result.

All my life, I had been given all that I had ever wanted. My status was the only thing that gave me that right. My status had gotten me out of a lot of trouble, even situations that were my fault.

This? Not even my status could save this. My status couldnโt get rid of the horrible choice I had made. My status couldnโt magically make Jesse come back to me as she slipped from my fingers.

The bass of the music was like drums of war. After Jesse ran off, I quickly got my clothes together and rushed after her.

I side-stepped my way through the backyard before going into the house. I tried to pick up Jesseโs scent through the house, but all I could get was the smell of alc*h*l and s*x.

I was looking around frantically, my wolf trying to pick up on Jesseโs scent but to no avail. I turned and stopped as Celeste suddenly appeared in front of me.

โWhy did you run off, Jaxson?โ She tried to purr. I held my head as an overwhelming headache came upon me. I almost fell back as Celeste shoved herself upon me.

โWe were just getting started~,โ she cooed as she tried to put my leg between her thighs again. A loud growl resonated through me; my wolf nor I wanted her. I shoved her off of me.

โGetaway, Celeste,โ I growled, โWeโre done. This was a mistake.โ I could see her heart crush through her eyes. It quickly changed to anger.

It wasnโt until this moment that I realized how much trouble Celeste actually was. I hadnโt seen it until now because I didnโt know who my mate was.

I had no one to blame but myself for my actions. This was my problem that I had to fix. I had to find Jesse and apologize for everything.

I didnโt realize how wrong my actions were. Celeste was just a fine time to relieve stress, nothing serious.

โWe wasted ourselves on another woman,โ I heard my wolf whine within me. โWe shouldโve waited for mate.โ I held my head, the alc*h*l taking its toll on me. I was trying to ignore Celesteโs fit, but her voice was making the headache work.

โWhat about all we have planned?โ She whined, stomping her foot like a child. โYou promised me forever! You promised I would be Luna!โ

I could feel my wolf gritting his teeth within me. I could only watch as Celeste began to cry, her mascara easily running down her face. She looked like a villain from a kid's movie.

Her face was beet red as she barred her teeth at me. Her hair stuck out in all directions from our rendezvous outside. If you looked closer, around where her neck met her chest on her left sideโthere was the smallest pop of a vein.

I had to keep myself calm. If not, my wolf was going to rip her throat out. I shook my head at her. โIโm sorry, Celeste,โ I said to her, โI canโt neglect my duties anymore. Weโre done for good.โ I turned and walked away from her.

I walked aimlessly around the houseโmy mind set on trying to find Jesse. I turned behind me quickly when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I relaxed when I saw that it was just Caleb.

โWoah, Woah!โ He said, gently putting his hands on my shoulders. โWhereโs the fire?โ I took a breath, squeezing my fists before relaxing.

โI found my mate,โ I explained. Calebโs eyes lit up. Oh goddess, bless his innocence.

โDude, thatโs amazing!โ He cheered, โWho-!โ

โItโs Jesse.โ

I watched his face drop from one of pure happiness to one of concern. โWhat? Where is she?โ I bit my lip.

โI donโt know,โ I sighed, โThatโs why Iโm trying to find her. I havenโt had any luck.โ

Caleb rubbed his chin. โShe probably left. But why would she leave if the two of you are mates?โ The floor and my shoes seemed a lot more interesting at that moment.

โJax?โ Caleb raised an eyebrow at me. โWhy did Jesse leave?โ

I rubbed the back of my neck. I didnโt know how to tell him that I was the cause of Jesse leaving the party.

โShe caught me having sex with Celeste,โ I mumbled towards the floor. Caleb blinked at me.

โWhat was that? I couldnโt hear you,โ He teased, leaning closer to me. I growled at him, annoyed.

โShe caught me having sex with Celeste,โ I looked back up at him. His eyes widened in shock. He was silent for a few moments as if I told him his mom had died.

โManโฆโ He sighed as his shoulders relaxed, โYou F*cked up.โ I covered my face, rubbing it downwards. โDonโt you think I know that?!โ

โNo, no, I know you know,โ Caleb rubbed the back of his neck, โit's just, you seriously f*cked up.โ I groaned and grabbed at my hair. This was getting me nowhere.

โWhy didnโt I know she was my mate?โ I was so confused. Caleb crossed his arms and gave me a look that read: โAre you goddamn serious?โ

โJax,โ he sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. โShe just turned eighteen. Midnight marked her eighteenth birthday.โ

I felt as if my jaw had hit the floor. I covered my mouth and tried my hardest not to beat myself up over it. Caleb gently grabbed me by the shoulders again.

I couldnโt believe I was so close to my mate, and nowโI was just as close to losing her forever. This was not what I wanted. This was not how I wanted to find my mate.

I had this whole future in my sights. I led the pack to be stronger while my Luna ruled by my side. A small little family of my own, a son and maybe a daughterโor two.

Now, all that hope was gone. The dream was shattered. All because I couldnโt grow up for a single night and find my mate properly.

โJax,โ he said sincerely, โYou canโt change what you did. But you have to make it up to Jesse. Sheโs your future, Luna, after all.โ I nodded. Caleb was right. I couldnโt change what I did; I could only make things better.

A feeling of determination washed over me. I had a new goal. There was no way I was going to allow anyone to come between my mate and me again.

I had to get Jesse to trust me. I had to prove to her that I was the man she deserved, not the one she despised. I had to make things right, no matter how hard it was going to be.

I told Caleb that I was going to see him in the morning before I turned and made a small beeline to the door. I left the party, the sound of music fading behind me as I made my way to the packhouse. The house was dark, but it was easy for me to get upstairs and into my room.

I took a quick shower to wash the scent of s*x off of me. As I got into bed, I ran a tired hand over my face. I flopped onto my bed and stared up at my ceiling as exhaustion washed over me.

Today had been a long day. Yet tonight had been even worse. It had practically been the worse night of my life, and tonight hadnโt even been about me.

โHow do you think our mate feels?โ My wolf asked within me. โI can only imagine,โ I answered. My wolf let out a soft purr of agreement.

โHow are we going to make it up to her?โ I took a deep breath, held it for a few seconds before letting it go. I hadnโt really thought of it.

โI donโt know,โ I answered as I pulled the blanket over my chest, โIโll think of something by morning.โ My wolf purred.

โAjax.โ

โHmm?โ

โMy name--, itโs Ajax. You never asked.โ

โOh,โ I sighed as I relaxed into the bed, โWell, good night, Ajax.โ

โGood night, Jaxson.โ

I had to make things up to Jesse, and I think I knew the perfect way to start. | LEARN_MORE | https://www.novel-oasis.com/share/middle/b41hjsk1z | 122134935638001084 | LeReader-Good Novel | https://facebook.com/61550279422860 | 232 | 1 | 794,594,709,204,091 | 2024-03-25 02:00 | person_profile | eligible | 0 | 0 | NONE | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 | Learn more | 0 | LeReader-Good Novel | 120209693782520242 | www.novel-oasis.com | NONE | video | https://www.novel-oasis.com/share/middle/b41hjsk1zgnxentdprrznwpq?ad_id={{ad.id}}&sid=120209693621730242&campaign={{campaign.name}}&adgroup={{adset.name}} | 2024-03-25 04:28 | https://scontent-ord5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/433440072_1595718217919574_3563355675131275000_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s60x60&_nc_cat=111&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=UtnHJaEgKx8AX81pm4S&_nc_ht=scontent-ord5-1.xx&oh=00_AfBm59TRgjwMnGK1QSF3Bc3HOkuAwSjz0MGTX__WSfvFXw&oe=660A84B7 | person_profile | 0 | LeReader-Good Novel | https://scontent-ord5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/433471749_1457471414853437_4345683522524710846_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=cWQx9wlDs6gAX_G8z28&_nc_ht=scontent-ord5-1.xx&oh=00_AfAzqN_K-lx4qrY4kOF-IP5tWwKWQSHulTFTDGpHVEEjXg&oe=660A1571 | 0 | 3 | LeReader-Good Novel | 0 | 0 | 2024-03-25 02:00 | View Edit Delete

Yes | 2024-03-27 22:51 | active | 362 | 0 | 758748326354649 | ๐ฅ๐ฅ Click to Read ๐๐ป๐๐ป | I stormed into his bar and told this arrogant prick to keep his children away from mine.
My daughter Maria means more to me than anything in this world. I knew he was the leader of a notorious motorcycle gang before I walked in, but I didn't care.
I realized too late that entering his bar was a huge mistake. He's been everywhere since then.
โโโโโโโโ

ANNA
Itโs a warm, sunny day. I tip my head back to feel the rays on my face. I love my little gardenโ itโs a sun trap. โMommy,โ whispers Malia in my ear.
I smile but keep my eyes closed. โYes, sweetie?โ
โWhen I was at nursery today, Ziggy asked me to peck him.โ My eyes shoot open and fall on the innocent face of my five-year-old daughter. โHe wants me to be his . . . โ She taps her pink, heart-shaped lips that are the exact replica of my own. โOld lady. What does that mean?โ
โYou are far too young to be pecking anyone, little miss,โ I say, and she giggles. โI hope you told him that.โ She shrugs her shoulders and the pink strap of her dungarees slips down. โSweetie, I really wish youโd make some new friends. You and Ziggy spend an awful lot of time together and itโs important that you make other friends.โ
โBut I only like Ziggy and he only likes me,โ she says innocently.
I hear the front door open and close. โI brought cakes for little miss trouble and beverage for us to get started,โ yells Eva from inside the house.
โYou better have your hip in that shower,โ she adds. I check my watch.
Christ, is it that time already? I push myself to stand and brush the grhip from my hip as I sweep Malia into my arms and take her inside.
โSorry, I lost track of time,โ I explain. โIโm going right now. You look amazing, by the way.โ
I shower quickly and dress in a thigh-length summer dress. Itโs flowy from the waist down and looks perfect with my heeled boots. I apply minimal make-up and get downstairs just as Evaโs mom arrives. โThanks for watching Malia, Esther. Sheโs been excited since she came home from nursery today,โ I say with a smile. As if to prove my point, Malia races into the hallway and throws herself into Estherโs arms.
โItโs not a problem. You know I love to spend time with her. Now, come and tell me what things you and Ziggy have been up to this week,โ says Esther fondly as she carries Malia into the living room.
As it happens, most of the bars along Queenโs Road are busy, and by the time we stumble into The Copper Trap, weโre both feeling the beverage buzz.
โThatโs nonsense. His dad is a biker. He wears the leather jacket with the thingy on the back,โ I say.
โThe club badge?โ asks Eva.
โWhatever it is,โ I dismiss. โOne of the other moms at school told me itโs a gang. Heโs basically in a biker gang and his kid is out of control.โ
โYou know you shouldnโt believe everything you hear. Do you think the same mom said nice things about you when she found out who Maliaโs dad really was?โ she asks, raising a perfectly plucked brow at me. I scowl, but she continues regardless. โYou know more than anyone not to listen to gossip because itโs usually wrong.โ
I scoff. โThe gossip doesnโt do Reggie justice. Heโs way worse than any story. Besides, Iโm pretty sure none of the parents at Maliaโs school know
about Reggie being her dad.โ
Eva smirks. โYeah right. Sounds like they love to gossip, if you ask me.โ She sighs. โIf youโre really worried, then speak to the teacher. Maybe she can try and encourage Malia to play with different kids, but I really think sheโll be heartbroken without Ziggy. Sheโs really taken with him.โ I roll my eyes. Eva is a hopeless romantic.
โIf we have to move again, theyโll be two very sad kids. They shouldnโt get so attached. Donโt you think itโs weird to be this attached at their age?
Maybe I should go straight to his dad and tell him what his kidโs been saying?โ I suggest. โAsk him to speak to Ziggy about making new friends?โ
Eva shakes her head. โOh, I donโt think thatโs a good idea.โ But my mind is made up and the spirits makes me slightly braver than Iโd normally feel. I drain my drink and stand. Eva looks panicked. โYou mean now?โ she whisper-hisses and I nod.
โHis gang drinks at The Windsor.โ
โPlease stop calling it a gang. Itโs not how they like to be seen. Itโs a club, and if you call it a gang, he might get mad,โ says Eva with a hint of hysteria in her voice.
We walk to The Windsor pub and stand outside. It doesnโt look anything special, just like a regular bar. Nobody ever goes in there unless they are part of the bike gang. Itโs a fact everyone just seems to know without anyone having to say it.
A few men are standing around outside chatting and smoking cigarettes.
โChrist, letโs hurry up and get out of here.โ I take her arm and pull her through the bar. Iโve never seen so many men wearing the same leather jacket before. It makes it harder to spot the man I want, but when I do, he takes my breath away. Itโs not the first time thatโs happened. When I first saw him at the school gates, I thought my panties would melt off and jump in his pocket. They were desperate to come off. He doesnโt come to the school often, so I donโt get to appreciate his hotness on a daily basis.
He throws his head back and a deep, rumbling laugh escapes his gorgeous mouth. His tall, six-foot something frame is well-hidden with him sitting on a barstool, but Iโve got that silhouette burned into my brain. His
broad shoulders and bulging arms are covered in tattoos and thereโs something about his light blue eyes that gives him a permanently smouldering look. Eva nudges me forward and I realize Iโm standing still, just staring at him.
โYou know heโs staring right back at you wondering what youโre gawking at, right?โ she whispers into my ear. I swallow the dry lump in my throat and move closer to him. The guys heโs with also turn to stare at us, and Iโm pretty sure the conversation in this place just dropped down to almost whispering.
โHi,โ I croak, and he stares at me blankly. I didnโt expect him to remember me. Heโs probably never paid any attention to us mere mortals who lust after him at the playground. In fact, I think in the whole three months Maliaโs been going to that nursery, Iโve seen him three times max.
โIโm Maliaโs mom.โ
โPres, she ainโt about to drop a kid on you, is she?โ asks one of the men, laughing.
โShut up, Tiny,โ mutters Ziggyโs dad. โLady, what do you want?โ
My mouth opens and closes a few times. What did I want again?
โMalia,โ Eva whispers into my ear to give me the reminder I was silently begging for.
โMalia,โ I blurt out. He begins to look annoyed. โShe plays with Ziggy.โ
A look of realization phipes over his face and he stands up. I hear Eva gasp at his sheer size.
โWhat did he do?โ he asks.
โNothing,โ I say, shaking my head back and forth. โI think they should have other friends,โ I blurt out. Iโm getting this all wrong, and he studies me silently for a few seconds. Heโs understandably confused by my ramblings.
โCome,โ he says and sighs. He takes me by the hand, and I stare down in awe at how his giant paw covers mine completely. He pulls me through the bar to a quiet table away from the crowd of bikers. I look back at Eva.
One of the other men is talking to her as she looks over at me helplessly.
Ziggyโs dad practically shoves me to sit down at the table and then lowers himself opposite me. โStart talking.โ
โZiggy and Malia always play together. Today, he asked her to peck him,โ I blurt out. โHe wants her to be his old lady?โ I say it as a question
because Iโm not quite sure what that part means but Iโm guessing marriage.
He laughsโ really laughs, throwing his head back again. If it wasnโt at my childโs expense, Iโd be mesmerized by the way his throat bobs up and down or the way his tattoos cover up under his chin and are partially hidden by his well-groomed beard.
โOh legend.โ He chuckles, but when he sees Iโm not laughing, he coughs to clear his throat and straightens up in his chair. โSo, now you donโt want them to play together?โ
โNo,โ I say firmly. โI think they should make other friends.โ
He nods his head slowly. โBecause my kidโs not good enough for yours?โ
โI didnโt mean . . . itโs just that . . . โ Iโm stuttering helplessly.
โOh, I know what you meant. My kidโs not good enough to play with Reggie Millerโs daughter,โ he sneers. At the mention of Reggieโs name, I begin to breathe faster, the colour draining from my cheeks. I grip the edge of my chair to stop me from running out of here. โYou thought I didnโt know who my kid was hanging out with? Oh, I know. I know everything.
So, while you stand in that playground with your head up your hip, I know all about you and Reggie and the things heโs done.โ He leans back and folds his arms over his chest. โNow, you listen to me, lady. Iโm not overjoyed by my kidโs choice in friends either, but for some reason, he worships your daughter, and unlike you, I trust him to make his own decisions. You want to break your kidโs heart, then be my guest. Now, get outta my bar.โ
I stand on wobbly legs, hardly believing that heโs speaking to me like this when he doesnโt even know me. I turn to walk away but then something takes over me.
I vowed never to be walked all over again, so I find myself turning to face him. โI wanted them to make other friends because I have to move a lot thanks to Reggie. But Iโm sure you knew that already. I thought it wouldnโt be very good for your son to be so invested in my daughter because when we have to leave again, heโll be heartbroken. Iโm glad your son doesnโt have your poor manners.โ
I turn on my heel and march over to Eva. She smiles, looking relaxed, and hands me a drink. โWe have to leave,โ I say.
โNo, come and meet Rock.โ She smiles. The man who stopped us earlier at the door offers a goofy grin. โAnd Lake,โ she adds, pointing to the
man at Rockโs side. โWeโve put some money in the jukebox. Rock loveโs rock music,โ she states proudly and then falls into a fit of giggles brought on by the spirits.
โEva, we really need to leave.โ
I feel him approaching. Itโs like a sensation washes over me and I have to fight the urge to shudder. I feel the heat of his body against my back, and when he leans closer to my ear, I gasp.
โYouโre a feisty little thing,โ he whispers.
โIโm leaving. Iโm just trying to get my friend to say goodbye to these gentlemen and then weโll be off,โ I explain.
โNo rush,โ he mutters. โStick around. Maybe I was a little harsh back there.โ
โSee, he said we can stay.โ Eva smiles and holds out her hand for him to shake. โIโm Eva, Annaโs best friend.โ
โRiggs,โ he answers. I realise this is the first time Iโve heard his name.
He didnโt bother to introduce himself back there. Even the moms at the playground refer to him as โZiggyโs dadโ.
โZiggyโs cute,โ she compliments, and this seems to ease the annoyance that surrounds Riggsโ eyes. โI only met him a couple of times. Malia adores him.โ
โRock, this oneโs Reggie Millerโs woman,โ says Riggs. My face instantly goes a deep shade of red with embarrhipment. Eva feels the anxiety radiating from me at the mere mention of my ex.
โIโm not his woman,โ I utter.
โOh yeah,โ Rock says with a grin. โAnd he knows youโre drinking in these parts, does he?โ
โIโm not his woman,โ I repeat.
โMaybe we should go,โ says Eva, grabbing hold of my hand.
โBetter still, let me call him. Iโm sure heโd love to hear from me,โ says Rock, pulling out his cell. My hand dashes towards it, snatching it away from him. Iโm shaking from fear and panic. Rockโs mouth falls open, not quite believing what I just did, which makes two of us.
โHe doesnโt know Iโm here,โ I mutter. โYou canโt tell him that you saw me.โ
Rock moves closer and my fear deepens. โIโll tell him whatever I like.
He ainโt around here.โ
I glance at Riggs, whoโs smirking at the interactions unfolding before him. โDo you let all your gang members talk to women?โ I snap.
โItโs not a gang, sweetheart. What your boyfriend has is a gang. What I have is a club,โ says Riggs with ease.
โThe only difference I see is this gang wears leather jackets and his gang wears suits,โ I say boldly.
โIt was a bad idea to come here,โ mutters Eva. โLetโs get out of here.โ
RIGGS
I donโt know what just came over me. Something about Maliaโs mom riles every cell in my body. Who does she think she is turning up in my bar and lecturing me about my kid? Looking down her nose at us? I shake my head and take a long drag on my smoking.
โDo you peck Reggie with that mouth?โ Lake smirks.
โLetโs just go,โ says her friend on a sigh. โTheyโd never understand.โ
โUnderstand that a mob princess had the nerve to come here? I understand perfectly.โ I move towards them, and if Iโm not mistaken, Anna has a heated look in her eyes. โMaybe Iโll rock up to your place, see what youโre like without that beverage running through your blood.โ I run my
finger down her arm. Goosebumps break out on her skin and she sucks in a breath. I smirk.
โIโm not telling you where I live,โ she mutters.
โI donโt need you to. See ya around, sweetheart.โ I turn back to the guys, grinning with satisfaction. This woman will regret putting herself on my radar.
I take Ziggyโs backpack from the kitchen counter. โYouโre taking him to school?โ asks my mom. I note the shock in her voice.
โYep,โ I say, not wanting to get into it.
โYay!โ Ziggy grins. โCan we go on the bike?โ he asks. I nod and he fist pumps the air.
โNo,โ says my mom firmly. โFinn, you know the school will call and question whether the bike is safe. It isnโt worth the bother. Just take my car.โ She throws the keys and I catch them.
We get into the car and I fasten Ziggy in. โDaddy, why does Granny call you Finn?โ
โBecause thatโs my real name,โ I say. โAnd because sheโs my mommy, sheโs allowed to use that name.โ
โI like Riggs better,โ he says.
โYouโre lucky because you get to call me by a name that nobody else can call me,โ I say. โDaddy.โ This satisfies him and he smiles. โNow letโs get you to school.โ
I stand uncomfortably in the playground. I hate the school run because I stand out. All the other adults here are mainly moms and they stare at me cautiously. They pull their kids closer to their sides like they donโt quite trust me.
I check my watch again and sigh. Thereโs still five minutes to go. Ziggy suddenly screeches and takes off towards the gates. He crashes into a little blonde and wraps her into a hug. Her little curls bounce from the impact and she giggles. โMalia, my daddyโs real name is Finn,โ he announces, taking her hand and pulling her towards me. โHe brought me to school today.โ
Malia stops in front of me. She tips her head back and stares right at me.
She has her momโs light green eyes, which reminds me . . . I glance towards the gate as a harhiped-looking Anna bustles in. She has shades covering he
r eyes and I suspect sheโs feeling hungover. โMalia,โ she bristles, and the little girl turns towards her. โI told you not to run ahead,โ she adds.
The little girl pouts. โBut I saw Ziggy,โ she says in a little voice. โAnd look! His daddy brought him to school today. Heโs so big!โ I smile down at the little version of Anna.
Anna stands a few feet away and stares at the closed clhiproom door.
She glances at me and lifts her shades slightly to meet my eyes. I like that sheโs showing me no fear. โAre you talking to me?โ she asks coolly.
I make a show of looking around at the space around us. The other moms are giving me a wide berth. โLooks that way.โ
โMy head is just fine, thank you.โ Her tone is cold and impatient.
โI thought we could grab a coffee and discuss last night?โ I ask.
โI donโt think so,โ she mutters.
โYou not so brave now that youโre sober?โ I ask.
The doors open, and Ziggyโs teacher smiles warmly at me. Sheโs had a thing for me for the last year, since Ziggy first started in her clhip. โOh, how lovely to see you, Finn.โ She smiles. โWould you like to stay and look through some of Ziggyโs work? Heโs been doing so well.โ
โI have a coffee date with Anna,โ I say, tipping my head in Annaโs direction. The teacher straightens slightly and looks Anna up and down.
โHe doesnโt have a coffee date with me,โ mutters Anna. Her face flushes red with embarrhipment.
โI do,โ I correct. I hand Ziggy his backpack and he runs inside, pulling Malia with him. I turn to Anna and smile. โYou can either walk outta here with me or I can embarrhip you in front of all these judgy bitches.โ
โYou wouldnโt dare,โ she growls.
โOh baby.โ I smirk. โPlease donโt wave the red rag. You donโt know me well enough to challenge me.โ
Anna squares her shoulders and glances around at some of the other moms who are pecking their kids goodbye at the door. โFine,โ she mutters.
I follow her out of the gates and point her in the direction of a nearby cafรฉ. | LEARN_MORE | https://b.mylibapps.com/ad/cmVhZGZpY3MvMTMzNTgwLzI | 153608837844924 | Libb101 | https://facebook.com/61554134926966 | 14 | 1 | 1,449,276,575,946,306 | 2024-03-26 02:00 | person_profile | eligible | 0 | 0 | NONE | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | Learn more | 0 | Libb101 | 120207493029310556 | b.mylibapps.com | NONE | video | https://b.mylibapps.com/ad/cmVhZGZpY3MvMTMzNTgwLzIwMjQwMzI2MTYyMzEwL3BhZ2U=?adid={{ad.id}} | 2024-03-26 03:30 | https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/434329900_307932052168055_6006237202293204433_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s60x60&_nc_cat=101&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=Di1FHEa5SsIAX9tmbvk&_nc_ht=scontent-dfw5-1.xx&oh=00_AfAp1cARqnQznKyCkyO0ATMkca0ytZ--rwS4COlaq7fk2w&oe=66093330 | person_profile | 0 | Libb101 | https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.35426-6/433096123_1625648634906252_8047921598056445414_n.jpg?_nc_cat=105&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=c53f8f&_nc_ohc=RSSFCAsX-2QAX-ivCvM&_nc_ht=scontent-dfw5-1.xx&oh=00_AfAOccCi3J27KAS3_1MIiFQuL969Tp5NvpBN_DdBZyw_CQ&oe=66096E06 | 0 | 3 | Libb101 | 0 | 0 | 2024-03-26 02:00 | View Edit Delete |
