My parents were there for me too; they cared and loved me just like any pair of parents would. But that all changed when it was our birthday. Kevin, Kelly, and I.<br /> It has been said that on your twelfth birthday you change into your wolf. And they always said that the first change was the most painful one. Well Kevin, Kelly and I were so excited to change into our inner wolfs and we were happy to do it together. That night Kevin and Kelly changed and I was there with them every step of the way. They cried in pain for what seemed like forever but when they were finally their wolves it was like they were breathing for the first time. Their fur was brown and black; they got it from my dad who was a black wolf and my mom who was brown. I automatically imagined myself being the same as them and therefore I was ecstatic to change that night. But only I hadn't changed that night or the next day or the next year.<br /> No one understood what happened. We went to several doctors and therapists thinking that maybe there was something wrong with me or something that was preventing me from changing. But the doctors and therapists found nothing. They said I was perfectly fine. They had no answers and no explanations as to what was wrong with me. We finally gave up and just began to wait for something. But that something never came.<br /> Quickly over time, my parents soon weren't loving towards me, they thought I was a shame to the family because I hadn't changed, my brother and sister abandoned me, now that I wasn't "normal" in their eyes. I was completely alone. That's when insults were thrown at me and soon enough violence. I was pushed against lockers, beaten for no apparent reason. I was the puppet and they controlled the strings.<br /> I became weak and fragile, no longer the strong girl I once was.<br /> But on my 15th birthday I finally changed. I screamed in pain and my parents, Kevin, and Kelly came into my room and were finally smiling at me instead of the same look of disgust that they showed me everyday. They were happy that I was changing and I was happy that we could finally be a whole family again. But to my surprise I wasn't getting any of those things in the end.<br /> When I finally changed, I expected to change to a brownish blackish color just like Kevin and Kelly had but I didn't. Instead I was an all white wolf and on my neck lie a black printing of a gardenia flower.<br /> I was mortified when my family took my full image in, and the same look of disgust and hatred towards me was alive again.<br /> One word echoed through my head: freak.<br /> The bullying got worse. My mother would slap me, her nails digging in my skin. My father would try to choke me and it stored fear in my mind. My brother and sister the ones who were supposed to be connected to me because we were triplets no longer loved me; instead hatred took its place. My pack was just like them. All the same. No one showed sympathy to me, no one helped me, I had no one.<br /> I was alone and that was an unwanted feeling. Everyday I would ask God why me? But I never got my answer instead I would cry myself to sleep.<br /> My mother replaced me with Kelly and gave her a family heirloom, that was supposed to go to me not her. My father always stood by Kevin but not once did he hold my hand or comfort me ever again.<br /> I was shattered when they did that.<br /> I always thought that my future Alpha, Brad, would make all of it stop but he just joined in. My crush was against me and would suck my sister's face off. They were "together" whatever that meant. They never stopped; it was as if it was their personal brand of some kind of dope.<br /> I continue to wish that my mate would show up soon so that way he would take me away from it all. I know he would rescue me from this wretched prison. I just know it.<br /> Or do I?<br /> ***<br /> "Fattie!" "You worthless piece of muck" "Loser" "Party City called they said they want their costume back, oh wait that's not a costume" "Pathetic" "Freak".<br /> I jolted up from my bed gasping for air. I continued to pant as I leaned on my hands that sat behind my back for support. I rolled my head over to the side looking at my lifeless clock.<br /> 5:30<br /> Ahhh shoot, I thought, I was supposed to to get up thirty minutes ago. I scrambled up from the blanket that was my "mattress" and hurried to my bathroom, grabbing some clothes on the way. My bathroom was covered with muck on the walls and a bucket in the corner which was my toilet. My shower had no walls around it so water was always on the floor which caused some of my injuries. I jumped in the cold shower quickly so that the icy water wouldn't be so sharp and uncomfortable.<br /> After my shower I quickly dressed in black shirt with an over sized sweatshirt and some muddy baggy jeans. I ran my fingers through my hair in sad way.<br /> Unfortunately, one of the pack members thought it would be funny if I no longer had my hair, so when I was sleeping they came into my room and shaved all of my hair off. It's taken me six months to at least not wear a wig anymore. I grabbed cover up from the counter, so that way I could hide the gardenia flower that was on my neck. Hopefully that would lessen the insults and violence. I took a long look of myself towards the mirror. I had dirty blond hair that rested above my shoulders. My hair was different then the rest of the triplets because they both had black hair including my parents which made me a bigger standout.<br /> My brother who was two minutes older than I, was one of the star players on the football team, he was popular. My sister who was two minutes younger than I, was on the cheer team, she was popular. My father who hated me was Beta of the pack. Our pack was the Midnight Pack. My father held great pride in his job whereas he held shame in me. My mother was Beta Female. And she regretted my birth, she made it very clear to me that she wished she had only Kevin and Kelly and not me, Klover.<br /> I loved my family but I also hated them. In reality I hated that I loved them. They were cruel people and only cruel to me.<br /> I was a mistake, a horrible mistake in their eyes and their was nothing I could do about it.<br /> Looking in the mirror always made me come back to my senses in that I wasn't ugly or fat like they told me everyday, I was the exact opposite. I was thin, actually scratch that gaunt, I looked like a zombie. I was pretty enough, not to be considered ugly. Even though they constantly told me that I was. They were wrong and they knew and they just wanted me to believe that I was those things and once they get what they want they just continue on with hurting me. I sighed and walked out.<br /> I walked out of the attic, my "bedroom", and creeped down four floors. At this moment I was already getting prepared for the injuries coming today. I sighed as I reached the kitchen. It was my duty to make breakfast for the pack. Especially today because it was Brad's, the future Alpha's birthday. He was turning sixteen and it was the day that he would find his mate.<br /> I was secretly hoping that it would be me but I refused to think that. I didn't want to get my hopes up only for them to come crashing down.<br /> I looked through the cabinets and took out ten pancake mixes. I had to feed forty pack members. They needed as much food as I could serve. I cracked some eggs in a bowl, put some links on the frying pan and began to make a big breakfast for them.<br /> An hour later, I had everything set up. A pile of pancakes was on plate. Links and eggs on another. I looked at the microwave clock and it read 7:30. With that I rushed upstairs so that way none of the pack members would harass me or worse. I got up in my room safely as I heard voices going down. I sighed in relief.<br /> No one saw me.<br /> I waited up here for awhile, scared that if I went down I would be a goner. I put my ear against the door, and when I heard the front door shut I opened up mine.<br /> I crept downstairs into the kitchen to see if there was any food left but there was none, not like that was a suprise, I turned around and walked out of the pack house. A sadness formed on my face, for I knew I was entering a black hole.<br /> As soon as I saw the school after walking two blocks I was instantly nervous. I never knew what I was walking into these days. Sometimes the days were okay and some were just awful. For my sake I hoped that it'd be okay.<br /> I had walked through the school doors with no attack or any object thrown at me, probably because everyone was in class. I sighed out of relief as I made it safely to my locker, I took this as my chance to take as many books as I could carry for the day. After I was finished I closed my locker and turned around bumping into a hard object, and I soon realized it was a person.<br /> "Sorry,"I muttered looking down. Please don't hurt me, I thought. I sniffed the air and realized that he was no doubt a werewolf. Without saying anything he reached for my throat and banged me against the lockers. I was four feet off the ground.<br /> "Watch where your going," he growled. I looked into green eyes and instantly knew it was Devin. From what I had heard he was the future third in command.<br /> "I'm sorry," I said in a frantic whisper.<br /> "Louder," he growled.<br /> "I'm sorry," I yelled hoarsely. He smirked and let me go making me fall to ground gasping for as much air as I could.<br /> "Pathetic," he said shaking his head. He walked away with some other were's and left me there panting. After I was good enough and not wanting to run into another person I grabbed my stuff off the floor and hurried down the hall, into class.<br /> ***************<br /> It was the end of the day, and I tried to get through the people that shoved and hit me. I finally got through and walked out of the school and into the front of the school.<br /> I instantly spotted Brad, the future Alpha, and noticed that all the werewolf girls were throwing themselves at him so that maybe they would be his mate. Although Brad looked as though he was enjoying himself, I became aware that in his eyes he was disappointed. Disappointed that he couldn't find his mate, his soul mate.<br /> Before I could really think of what he was feeling and try to figure him out. Someone threw me over their shoulder.<br /> I pounded on their back,"Put me down". I screamed out loud. Which caused everyone to whip their heads in my direction. I heard the male smirk and he soon put me down but not where I wanted to be. I stood right before Brad, who looked disgusted.<br /> "What is this doing here?" he sneered. I cringed, I hated his words.<br /> "Me and the guys wanted to see if she was your mate" the male said amused. Brad scoffed.<br /> "This thing, is NOT my mate," he said using his Alpha tone.<br /> "Sorry sir,"the male said realizing that this was not at all amusing to him. He walked away leaving me breathless and sweaty because Brad and I were staring at one another. I was getting nervous and I had no idea why. I was lost in his eyes and it felt like him and I were the only ones in this state, in this country, on this planet.<br /> I smiled knowing that I would remember this forever, this moment where I found my mate, my Brad. We would live happily ever after. He was my mate and I was squealing with joy.<br /> But when Brad saw me smile it was like he was snapped out of our trance and the same look was held on his face. Disgust.<br /> "What are you still doing here? Scram!" he ordered. Maybe I was wrong, I thought. I jumped because of his volume and I ran but brushed past his shoulder. Which made me come to an abrupt stop. Electricity was what I felt in my shoulder, the fireworks exploding all over my body making me tingle.<br /> I turned around slowly and met up with his shocked eyes. The legend said that when you find your mate you stare at each other for a certain amount of time and what feels like electricity when you approach them. And everything that it said just happened so that meant that I was his mate and he knew he was mine. We were the ones destined together just like the legends said. He was my other half, my last piece to the puzzle and I was determined to make it fit.<br /> I was so overjoyed that I went up to him and hugged him which sent tingles down my spine. I wrapped them around his neck and held tightly but many seconds later I was pulled off and I landed on my hip on the cold grassy ground.<br /> "What the heck do you think your doing?!?"my brother Kevin asked yelling.<br /> "I was hugging him,"I yelled. My fears were now gone knowing that I was the future Luna and the Alpha's mate there was no way anyone could hurt me.<br /> "Why?" he growled, he didn't like the way I was talking to him.<br /> "Because I'm his mate". Pride was in my voice and I was proud to know that I was no longer afraid.<br /> It was all silent and I knew that all of my pack heard what I had said. Luckily for me all the humans went home so I didn't have to worry about explaining that. Kevin looked at me shocked and fearful for a minute but then he covered it up with a smirk, and then he burst out laughing like I said the funniest thing in the world. Then seconds later the whole pack laughed with him except for Brad.<br /> Their laughs echoed in my head leaving me with an empty and sad feeling left in my heart. This was breaking me down especially because Brad didn't say a word. I noticed that Kevin looked over at Brad and realized that he wasn't laughing. When he realized this and made it known to the pack in mind link and everyone became quiet. Kevin took a step towards Brad.<br /> "Is she your mate?" Kevin asked seriously. Brad was zoned out before but now fear was written all over his face as he took in what Kevin said, his best friend. He looked over at me one last time with regret clear in his eyes telling me that he was going to do something awful.<br /> He turned to Kevin and scoffed. "No way man. She's the ugliest trash I have ever seen. Why would the Luna be fat and ugly like her? It's obvious that she is lying which is a real shame because that's one more thing we all have against her. Plus my mate is Kelly, she's the next Luna. She's thin and hot and the perfect Luna. I would never need or want a pathetic mate like her," he looked disgusted and my heart shattered as I really understood the words.<br /> "But I'm not lying and you know I'm your mate!" I yelled. His jaw tightened and he looked at me as if he wanted to set me in place.<br /> "You will NOT talk to your future Alpha like that! And I think I would know my mate!"<br /> He nodded to someone. And that someone was Kelly. She sashayed past me and then stopped. I was about to open my mouth, but she whipped around fast enough to catch me off guard and slap me across the face. Purposely letting her nails dig in my cheeks just like my mother had. I yelped in pain.<br /> "Don't you ever approach my mate again," she said in a dangerous tone and then sashayed over to Brad forcing her lips upon his.
