A general indoor traveling trade show

Vendors, Food Trucks, Farmers Market, Music & Entertainment.

Welcome to the very first Southern Trade Days! Our first stop on our tour is the Gardendale civic center!

What’s a general trade show? Well in general you can find most anything here. It’s geared towards the general public to offer something for everyone. General means open to ALL categories of items we are allowed to sell by law, the venue's rules and insurance restrictions. Looking for products, services, businesses, resellers, former retailers with innovatory, especially small and local businesses. But open to anyone.

Think of this as an indoor trade day type event that travels around. Nicer than a flea market but not as high-end as say the Home & Garden show. This will be a family friendly event. Most of the trade days, shows and flea markets are outside, subject to the weather. They are not able to operate year round. If you want to sell products and not get dust, dirt, pollen ect on your stuff try us out! Scared of the rain ruining your investments? No more rain or shine to worry about with our indoor general trade show ! We want to give people a marketplace to operate their business or side hustle in. A chance for locals to come buy and support those around them.

We will have a whole side room for Food and Bev vendors plus food trucks and a farmers market outside. The Flip Trade Show will be sponsoring a room of sports cards and collectibles dealers. Most of the vendors in the main areas will be non sports and not collectibles.

We will have:
Free parking
Free entry for kids 12 & under
Free entry to food trucks & farmers market
Free Kids activities & gifts
Free Raffle Ticket for giveaway

$5 Entry for those 13 and older to enter the Trade Show at the Civic Center. The food trucks and farmer market outside will be free to attend, not free food.

Parking will be free, overflow areas will be worked out with the city asap and a map posted.

Entertainment will be outside weather permitting or on the stage inside the exhibition hall if not.

Rules
NO PETS ALLOWED
NO ALCOHOL or DRUGS ALLOWED
NO Weapons of any kind
NO Smoking around the building entrances or food areas outside

Options for for vending:
6’ table space only $50 each
8’ x 8’ booth spaces $65 each
10 x 10 booth spaces $75 each
10x10 food room space $70 each
10x10 Farmers market outside $50
Food Truck Spaces outside $100 each

+$15 for wall spaces with shared power access. Limited number of these in each.

Only 2 booths max per vendor.

No extension cords unless your space is on the wall. You must sign in before setting up. Setup will start at 730 am Saturday morning. Do not try to set up inside before 730am

All booths come with a 6' table, 2 chairs and vendor passes.

Extra Passes are $10, comes with a chair.
Extra chairs $5 each if needed
Extra Table $25 each if needed

We are doing 2 contest for vendors!

Best Vendor Award wins a $Prize + Free Space this event and next event!

Best Food Truck Wins $Prize + Free Space this event and next event!

Prohibited items include anything that needs an age verification or not able to be sold to children. No Real or toy weapons of any type, ammunition, fake or counterfeit copyright merchandise, anything alive including but not limited to animals, fireworks, explosive devices, tasers, any defense spray or objects, profane or adult pornographic material, no political/social or religious items or material allowed. No games of chance, cannabis related products or any other item(s) deemed by the event, venue or city of Gardendale.

Besides that we are open to almost any category. We are looking for the biggest and best vendors. Those with the widest appeal. Small business and local Products, services, businesses ect. So we will pick those that we think will bring the most people either by quality, popularity, or social media reach ect. As we expand into bigger places we will have much for availability. We want EVERYONE but in order to grow we need the most help possible with limited space. We will get vendors approved and promoted as soon as possible.

All vendors must collect city, county and state sales taxes. Simple Forms will be given out at the beginning of the show and collected at the end with cash or a check to the city of gardendale. This is Mandatory and will result in not being allowed back to vend again if not completed.

All vendors must fill out a registration form, a google doc we send you. You will be approved as soon as possible. We will keep the selection of items as balanced as possible to prevent over saturation. Once approved you will be required to pay for the space within 14 days. A wait list will be started for all categories and upon sellout.

Southern Trade Days, The Gardendale Civic Center and The City of Gardendale are not responsible for any merchandise. Police and security will be provided for the general protection of the event. It is up to each vendor to police their own space. Please do not interfere with your neighbors' space. Either by entry or vending you assume all risk of property, injury or illness.
