Body | Central Bank of KC held their 9th Shark Tank Youth Competition at Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City last Monday. Students from eight area high schools impressed the judges as they pitched their solutions to help reduce violence in Kansas City and increase the positive impact in our community. Our six distinguished judges were Jannae Gammage, Foresight, Inc.; Jim West III, MS, Associate Director BioTools Innovator; Dan Smith MBA, Co-Founder and Miranda Schultz, Director of Operations, The Porter House KC; Davin Gordon, Program Officer, Hall Family Foundation; and Elijah Dormeus, Founder and CEO, I AM Foundation. First Place was awarded to a team from Raytown High School and a Lincoln College Prep team won Second Place. Many thanks to Junior Achievement, our partner in this event for the past 3 years, and also thanks to Electro Mundo Technology Services for the use of laptops for the teams. And of course, a huge shout out to our incredible judges as well as all the teachers and students who participated! |
