I am extremely saddened &amp; disappointed that his service and goal to continue on his mission that he fostered, built up &amp; networked has been met with a lawsuit from First Church Media.<br /> <br /> Since leaving First Church, Paul has a new project and new locations: Food Bank of Delaware County /Delco Food Bank PLEASE FOLLOW &amp; SHARE THE PAGE so his many followers know how to connect with him.<br /> <br /> Paul came up with the name Media Food Bank and was using it consistently since 2011. He also made a personal Facebook page he used as his own blog and to share information about his work at the food bank. First Church rejected the name Media Food Bank and used over 11 different names over the years. They only recently started using the name Media Food Bank. <br /> <br /> When Paul registered the name with the state the church sued Paul personally for the name Media Food Bank and his personal Facebook page. <br /> Rather than fighting a lengthy court battle Paul is giving up the name and being forced into deleting his beloved Facebook page he has maintained since 2011. I asked for the lawful reasoning behind this - none cited besides a blanket demand from the Attorney General despite evidence provided in lawyer response.<br /> <br /> The church will not allow him to change the name of the Facebook page. <br /> <br /> As per court order Paul is not allowed to post from the page at all and Paul’s Media Food Bank page will be deleted tomorrow Friday March 22, 2024. <br /> <br /> We are trying to get the word out quickly about his new page: Food Bank of Delaware County/Delco Food Bank. <br /> <br /> Close to 5 thousand volunteers, donors and recipients rely on that page for communicating with Paul’s organization. <br /> <br /> There are still recipients who need emergency assistance that are not able to receive it any other way and do not yet know about Paul’s new page. <br /> <br /> Paul is in the middle of starting two new locations and will need to reach his follower base quickly. He is working hard to get everything ready to once again serve the community. <br /> <br /> ‼️ALSO - Paul and the many longtime food bank volunteers will need all of our help and support. He will be starting over from scratch. Electricians, contractors, muscle to move things, food, equipment etc. Please let Paul’s new organization know if you can help. <br /> <br /> Paul is paying for his lawyer and all legal fees OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET - how the church is paying for their legal representation is unknown but they did maintain control of the food bank bank account that had over $100,000 in it at the time of Paul’s departure. IN MY OPINION- fund transparency has been a major issue. One of the reasons Paul &amp; others left.<br /> <br /> As we share his page we can also let people know he was the figure head and namer of Media Food Bank to explain the new page and who is behind it.<br /> <br /> I am excited for all of Paul’s new projects. Be The Joy has worked with him on community projects multiple times and his dedication to this community is top tier. I am so proud of him for fighting the good fight here and taking a stand.<br /> <br /> Paul and the many volunteers go as far as making home deliveries for community members unable to physically access the food bank. He has even hidden boxes of food in bushes for families who needed help but were “too embarrassed” to utilize the food bank during distribution hours.
