Body | After my husband got sick from his contaminated toothbrush, I was buying new ones every week to make sure they were clean. But we finally found a better solution. Brushing your teeth is important. We all know that. But what if I told you that your toothbrush could actually be harmful to you and your health? If you're not doing this one thing (which most people aren't) you could be letting harmful bacteria into your system every single day. Let me explain... One night my husband Matt and I got done brushing and headed to bed. While trying to fall asleep, Matt said he felt a little sick, but I assumed dinner just wasn’t sitting right. He went to sleep, but woke up in the middle of the night and got sick. This went a for an hour, but when he started coughing up blood, we knew it was serious. I told him to not take a chance and get to the hospital. That's when the doctors confirmed he had contracted E. coli. At first we thought it was from dinner. But I didn't get sick, and we always buy organic meats and cook everything fully through. The doctor then asked a random question, which really made us think. “Do you keep your toothbrush in a jar?” “Um, yes. Doesn't everyone?” It turns out this is what caused it. He said this is more common than most people think. Keeping your brush on the the jar or sink is a sure fire way to contract E.coli at some point in your life. I even brought his brush in for their lab to test, and it tested positive to e.coli and staphylococcus aureus. We were both so grossed out... Luckily, after a few days in the hospital he made a full recovery. He does his best to keep his immune system strong, and we got there early enough and I'm so thankful for that. But I asked the doctor what we could do to prevent this from happening again. He said to wash your toothbrush with hot water for 3 minutes, dry it with a towel and keep it on a hanger. That seemed like a lot of work… But later that week while visiting a a friend, I noticed something in her bathroom that caught my eye. Her toothbrush was attached to the wall, in some sort of fancy looking light-up case. “What’s that thing your brush is hanging from? It looks like it’s from the future!” “Oh that’s by UvFresh sanitizer. It keeps my toothbrush clean. Yea I know, I’m a clean freak” It turns out this sanitizing device instantly kills all bacteria and microbes, effectively cleaning your toothbrush in seconds. I told her what recently happened to my husband, and she said it happened to her dad years ago, which is why she ended up getting this device. It was designed by NASA scientists and uses a special UV-C purifying technology used in their labs. She showed me how it works. You stick it on the wall or mirror, put the toothbrush in and tap the sanitize button. It works on basically any toothbrush too. She said that ever since she got this, her oral health has improved, she has fresher breath, and she has the peace of mind that what she’s putting in her mouth twice a day is 100% clean and disease free. I quickly asked her where I could get one for myself. She said that it's no longer selling in stores because it's disrupting the toothbrush industry. It's affecting toothbrush sales as people are needing to change them out less frequently. But she was able to send me a referral link to get it online directly from their website. It even got me 52% off! I ordered 2 and they came in just 2 days. I stuck them on the wall and put our brushes inside. What I also love is that our bathroom looks less cluttered now too. My husband feels so much better now that his toothbrush is 100% clean. I just feel bad we’ve been using dirty toothbrushes for years. I wish we heard about this before my husband got sick. If you’re someone who cares about what you put into your body, and want to avoid germs, then you need one of these. He immediately told me to order 3 more for the kids. It has a rechargeable battery that lasts super long, and is great for traveling with too. I’m so thankful my friend told me about this. Because we don't want to have another health scare like that ever again. If you have loved ones like parents, children, or even pets, make sure their toothbrush is clean. They can have more bacteria than a toilet seat. So it’s something you want to make sure you clean properly, which most of us don’t. I don’t think I can brush my teeth again without using this first. I wanted to put the word out so I left the link to it below. It's still 52% off for the next 24 hours. I wouldn't wait around because the price could increase at any time. Protect you and your family from harmful bathroom bacteria hiding in your toothbrush. It's a long lasting investment for your health. P.S. My mom came over and saw this in my bathroom. She was fascinated by it and asked me to get one for her and dad haha. Get one for yourself, trust me! |
