We are extending the giveaway! Please don't hesitate to nominate people! No names or any other information will be made public as we truly just want to bless people in the community!

No one knows those in the community better than the people who live in it. We want to bless 8 people with 100 gallons of heating oil this winter and we would like your help to find those who will truly benefit! Over the summer, we hosted our 1st Annual Heart of Affordable golf tournament to help raise money for the Heart of the Affordable fund. Heart of Affordable is a fund that helps provide fuel to those in need from donations made by members in the community! For years, it was made up of donations made solely from community members giving as they were able or giving back if they had been blessed in years past through the fund. Donations of all different monetary amounts have been given throughout the years and have been passed on to community members who were struggling. By deciding to have a golf tournament, we were able to raise even more money to help people in the community! We know life has been hard for a lot of people and with this winter being so cold, many are really struggling. If you know someone who is having a difficult time making ends meet and needs a little help, we invite you to nominate them to receive one 100 gallon delivery of heating oil! You are welcome to nominate anyone, but we ask you to take special consideration for those who may not be eligible to receive any sort of assistance elsewhere, especially the elderly as most assistance options are based on both income AND number of people living in the home. Again, we welcome any and all nominations, but we want to make sure that we are providing for people with little to no options first! Please read below for instructions on how to nominate someone and for any restrictions for nominations.
To nominate a person you know is in need, we ask you to EMAIL or MAIL a message or letter providing their name, address, and phone number (so that we may contact them if they win), your name and phone number (so that we can contact you), as well as a 200-300 word paragraph(s) describing why they are eligible to be nominated for the heating oil. The nomination must be mailed to 179 Salem Church Road, Middleburg, PA 17842 ATTN: Anna or emailed to anna@afffuels.com to be accepted and it must be RECEIVED by Tuesday, February 25, 2025, to be included in the decision process. No private message, comments, etc made to this post or our Facebook page with nomination information will be accepted. (you can always ask questions, but official nominations must be mailed or emailed). The person being nominated does NOT need to be a current customer, but they must reside in our delivery area (feel free to call out office to check if their town is in our delivery area). Employees of Affordable Fuels may not nominate a potential recipient and are not eligible to be nominated. This offer has no cash value. This offer is for heating oil only. No other fuels are eligible to be substituted.
The recipients of the oil and the people who nominated them will be notified on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025.
