National Mental Wellness Month
Local agencies and organizations gather to raise awareness and provide mental health and wellness resources.
Norman, Oklahoma-Restore Behavioral Health is hosting a Mental Health Awareness and Resource Fair on January 27, 2025 from 3:30pm – 6:30pm. January is National Mental Wellness month and a great time to highlight mental health issues and local resources. Seventeen organizations from Norman and surrounding cities will gather to educate and empower individuals to prioritize their well-being and seek help when needed. In many cases, individual mental health care reaches beyond counseling and can include other treatments, including medical, legal, and education services. Rather than local professionals and organizations working independently, Restore Behavioral Health believes the best approach is to work together to form a network of care and wraparound services.
Restore Behavioral Health’s Mental Health Awareness and Resource Fair is free and open to the public. This is a great opportunity for individuals and families dealing with issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, chronic illness, eating disorders, or behavioral concerns. Kelly Lashar, Restore’s co-owner and CEO, states, “Where there is hurt, there can also be hope and healing. People need to know they are not alone. There are caring professionals who want to help.”
