2002 BMW M5 Sedan 4D - $30,000.00

Up for sale is my 2002 BMW e39 M5 which I purchased from a collector in August of 2022. He purchased it from the second owner in the spring of 2021 and never registered the car so I show up as the third owner on Carfax. The car was originally sold by BMW of Darien to an executive of Speedvision who owned it for nearly 16 years, dealer serviced there and then by BMW of Annapolis when he moved to Maryland in 2008.

The car was then listed for sale by Wayne Carini at F40 Motorsports and sold to the second owner in January of 2018 with 88,000 miles. The second owner owned the car for about four and a half years and serviced it at Rallye BMW of Westbury, NY. I purchased it with 105,000 miles on the clock.

I enjoy the process of buying, owning, driving and selling cars that I like and meeting the people who share the same affliction. Thus, it is time to pass this amazing machine onto its next owner.

It was obviously well maintained and German Motors in my neighborhood gave it an “Excellent Example” stamp of approval when I had them go through the car after I purchased it. My attempt to retrieve the service history from the above-mentioned dealerships has been unsuccessful. The collector I bought the car from said a lot of work was done around 100,000 miles (probably at Rallye BMW) including a new clutch but I don’t have the documentation.

Clean CarFax is available to interested buyers and I have the paperwork documenting the ownership chain as well as the original window sticker.

I had all the fluids flushed, brake pads and rotors replaced, wheels refinished, new Michelin Pilot 4s tires mounted and the lower control (thrust) arms installed in preparation for the sale. The front bumper cover is cracked on the passenger side and some paint is peeling off, and there are some touched up chips in the paint on the hood and roof. The Sterling Grey metallic shows very well with no swirl marks. Minor scratch on rear bumper. Otherwise it's in excellent condition. I'd probably have a body shop replace the front bumper cover and repaint the hood if I were to keep it. Everything functions as it should.

I installed a BlueBus Bluetooth module in place of the 6 CD changer for hands free calling and audio from my iPhone (steering wheel controls all work) and with the M Audio w/enhanced bass, it sounds fantastic. Escort 360 Max radar detector hardwired and mounted under rearview mirror.

Fold down rear seats and factory roof rack make it a very practical super car. My family of four fits comfortably and the seats are very comfortable and supportive in full Nappa Heritage black leather.

Included is a factory set of Style 66 17" staggered rims with new (2023) Hankook snow tires.

This is an incredibly capable car and one of the best I've ever owned. It will loaf along in the city with plenty of torque making it a very livable daily driver and then blast to triple digit speeds on an onramp with one of the best sounding naturally aspirated V8s out there. It never gets old. Six speed manual shifts smoothly and without issue.
