We know you’re tired of leftovers, so here’s an easy Sicilian Style Sausage and Ricotta Pizza loaded with bold Mezzetta flavors that you can enjoy for any meal!🍕

INGREDIENTS
4 cups bread flour
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 (.25 ounce) packet instant yeast
1 ½ cups warm water
2 tablespoons Mezzetta Saute Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus extra for greasing
¼ cup Mezzetta®  Pizza Sauce
¼ cup ricotta cheese
¼ cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage
¼ cup Mezzetta® Roasted Red Bell Pepper Strips
¼ cup Mezzetta® Sliced Castelvetrano Olives, torn
Freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano, to taste
Fresh basil leaves, torn to garnish
Mezzetta® Calabrian Chili Hot Sauce, to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Mix with a spoon or your hands until the dough comes together into a shaggy ball.
2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 5-6 minutes.
3. Lightly oil a large bowl and place the dough inside. Cover with plastic wrap or a damp towel and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1-2 hours).
4. Generously oil a 13x18-inch sheet pan with olive oil. Punch down the dough and stretch it out to fit the pan. If the dough resists, let it rest for 5-10 minutes before stretching again. Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap or a damp towel and let the dough rise again for 30-45 minutes.
5. Preheat your oven to 475°F.
6. Spread the pizza sauce all over the dough, even out to the edges of the pan. Dollop the ricotta cheese all over the pizza and top with the cooked Italian sausage, roasted red bell pepper strips, sliced Castelvetrano olives and freshly grated parm.
7. Transfer to the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden and topping are bubbling.
8. Garnish the pizza with torn fresh basil leaves, remove from the pan, slice and serve immediately. Drizzle with Calabrian chili hot sauce, if desired.
