Happy Wednesday, Team Ropers! I hope everyone is having a great week! From a JX2 side of things, we have one event left for 2024- our big Holiday Bash in Tuscumbia, AL with Chip Phillips. We’re super excited about that. It’s the weekend before Christmas. We’re giving away tons of cash and tons of prizes, so it should be a fun, great weekend for everyone! There are lots of different divisions for you to rope in, so be sure to check out the ad in the comments! We’d love for you to join us in Tuscumbia! Mason, Katie, and I are headed to Las Vegas Saturday morning and will be there for about 15 or 16 days. There’s lots going on at Horseman’s Park and SouthPoint. It’s going to be the biggest and greatest event in team roping history! Good luck to everyone going out there to compete! Even if you’re not going to compete, I hope to see you there during the next couple weeks!
Personally, Penny went to the UT game last week with Kelly in Knoxville. Mason and Emma went to Knoxville as well to go to a breakaway event. Eli and I went to Washington DC to watch the Washington v. Dallas football game. Every year since Eli was in middle school, we pick a city and go see either an NFL or an NBA game, and this year we chose Washington DC. Since we’re both great lovers of history we went up a day early to go to the Arlington Cemetery and lots of our National Monuments. It’s always extremely educational and very humbling to visit the great monuments that honor our country. By the way. We do live in the greatest country on earth! After this historical election we just had it was very fitting that we had an opportunity to go to our nation’s capital and honor those who have come before us. Katie and I went over to Carroll Original Wear again today to pick up some apparel for Vegas. The devastation from Hurricane Helene is still very visible and prominent. It could be years before the remains of this disaster are cleaned up. Please continue to keep those people in your thoughts and prayers. Also please keep praying for Dean Campbell as he continues to recover. Please also remember our good friend JR Spencer who just had heart surgery. Last, but not least, from me and our entire JX2 Family, we truly wish you and all your families a Very Happy Thanksgiving. We definitely have lots to be thankful for! Talk to you next week!
