Here is the updated flyer about the 2nd Annual Holiday Sleigh Giveaway along with the list of all of the donations, to date. So far $1665 dollars worth of goodies are overflowing from the sleigh. One very lucky winner will be drawn out on Sunday, Dec. 15 @ 2 p.m.
All of the money raised goes to the Auxiliary and helps to purchase items for various departments at Massac Memorial Hospital. This year we purchased another bariatric recliner chair for the nursing department at around $3000, a new wheelchair for the New Beginnings program that was little over $200 and a stabilizer chair for the physical therapy department for over $600.
Money also goes toward our annual scholarship program. In 2023, we awarded three one year, $1000 scholarships to high school seniors in Pope, Massac and Pulaski counties, who were furthering their education in a healthcare related field.
An interesting tidbit, last year's sleigh winner, Lauren Scott, of Metropolis, was a former Auxiliary scholarship from 2002! She received the scholarship and now is working at MMH in the pharmacy!
