Downtown Westfield WinterWalk, a combination of the traditional urban art walk with an outdoor European-style winter market, spans three large downtown Westfield city blocks from Court Street to Franklin Street and all points in between, featuring art, music, shopping and dining, in-store demos & exhibitions, cookies & hot chocolate, and so much more!

It’s FREE to attend! It’s FUN to attend! You are cordially invited to explore downtown Westfield and do the Downtown Westfield WinterWalk.

Take a leisurely stroll through the heart of the city to experience awesome art work by local and regional artists (hint, hint, hint … art makes a wonderful holiday gift!); live performance by the SoulSisters Rollin Jukebox, an outdoor fashion show; hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies; Mr. & Mrs. Claus, holiday carolers and snow flake painting at the Park Square Gazebo, to name some of the many activities happening during WinterWalk, while supporting our downtown shops and boutiques, fine eateries, coffee shops, bakeries, cafes and pubs, as you meander along the walkways of the city and explore all downtown Westfield has to offer.

A collaborative experience with many downtown Westfield small businesses and community organizations including the Westfield Food Pantry, Westfield Athenaeum, Westfield On Weekends, Hutghti’s At The Nook, Blended Vintage Marketplace, Pioneer Valley Transit Authority, Two Rivers Burrito, Westfield Gas & Electric, Chrissy G’s, the School Street Merchants & more, this event is FREE to the community!

The walk from Hutghi’s at The Nook on Franklin Street to School Street to the Westfield Athenaeum is a very easy and interesting stroll along the walkway from The Nook, past the Franklin Street Parking Lot to Arnold Street to the Olver Transit Pavilion, to the Elm Street Plaza to Blended Vintage Marketplace to School Street. Fun stroll! Then make your way back to Franklin Street via Elm Street for the full WinterWalk experience!

ARTISTS ALONG ELM and THE SCHOOL STREET PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY
School Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Elm Street to Central Street and transformed into a pedestrian walkway, featuring local and regional artists showcasing their work in pop up display tents similar to outdoor European winter markets. Artists will also be featured along Elm Street between School and Church Street.

ART IN UNUSUAL PLACES ~ OLVER TRANSIT PAVILION/PVTA
As part of our Art In Unusual Places Series, artists will be displaying their work inside the Olver Transit Pavilion, located on Arnold Street adjacent to the new Elm Street Plaza, as well as along the sidewalk outside the transit pavilion.

Additionally, artists will showcase their work in several former retail locations along Elm Street including the former George’s Jewelers store front. Several pop up galleries will be located in shops, restaurants and cafes along Elm Street from School Street to Franklin Street.

OUTDOOR FASHION SHOW at the CHURCH STREET (RUNWAY) WALKWAY! 2:00pm to 2:45pm; Hosted and produced by Blended Vintage Marketplace, this Outdoor Fashion Show is a new addition to WinterWalk, featuring the latest fashions and accessories available at Blended Vintage Marketplace.

A live performance by the SoulSisters Rollin Jukebox (the sisters performed at ARToberFEST and they were a show stopper!) will take place prior to the fashion show beginning at 1:00pm

FREE COMMUNITY PAINT AT THE GAZEBO AT PARK SQUARE; 11am to 1pm; PAINT THE WINDOWS with snowflakes and holiday images like trees, reindeer, candles, wreaths and the like! Perfect for kids and kids at heart!
