"Now Dexter There's this that needs to be handled"
He passes me a folder I grab it and open it I look through it and look up at my father.
"What is this? "
" I've been following this for a while but we haven't been able to find a location"
"Is this what I think it is? "
"Yes, it's an auction this group of people loans money to families, and then when the family can't pay they take one of their members for this auction."
A lowly grumble comes out of me.
"I want you and Jon to put together a team of guards and I want this shutdown and this group of people locked up"
"Do you want us to return the girls to their families?"
"Not right away bring them here I'm sure some will need medical attention then we will contact their families and they can come here to get them"
"Alright, father I'll get right on this."
I stand and start to walk towards the door.
"Dexter where are you going"
I turn and look at my dad. I hold up the folder.
"To get started. "
"Give that to Jon He can start you are coming with me Mr. Anderson shall be here in twenty minutes. "
"Seriously dad..." I groan out
"Can't I skip it?"
"No Dexter now let's go".
I give the folder to Jon. He takes it with a smile.
" Don't you even say anything"
I growl at him. He holds his hands up in surrender. He walks towards the door grabs the handle and opens leaving me to deal with my father and mother on who they feel I should marry.
"Maxine this is Mr. Grey." My father says to me I look at the guy he has no expression on his face. I look back at my father.
" I want you to go up and pack a bag. You will be leaving with Mr. Grey."
It took a minute to realize what my father just told me.
" Wait for what?" I asked him.
"You will be going with Mr. Grey. So you need to go up and get a bag packed."
I just sat there not moving.
"Maxine!!" My mother yelled at me I jumped a little and looked at her she stands and walks around my father.
" Let's go " she grabs me by my arm and pulls me out of the chair and out of the kitchen.
We go up to my room where she grabs a bag from my closet and starts throwing clothes in it.
"Mom, what is going on why do I have to go with them?" She doesn't answer just keeps throwing stuff in the bag.
"Mom," I cry out.
She stops and looks at me.
"Don't go making this a big deal Maxine. Just do as you told and help me pack your bag."
I walk over and start putting things in the bag.
"Is Kelly going with me?"
I asked my mother.
"No Kelly is staying with us. It's just gonna be you now hurry up Mr. Grey don't like to be kept waiting."
She grabs my bag and walks out of the room. I put my books in my backpack and swing them over my should and walk out of my room.
I go back down to the kitchen and everyone is still sitting there the guy they call Mr. Grey stands when he sees me walk in.
" It was good doing business with you folks," he tells my parents.
"Let's go," he says to the guys behind him they walk towards me grabs my arm, and start pulling me out of the kitchen.
I started yelling for my parents but they just sat there not even trying to help me. I look at my sister and she just has a smug look on her face.
"Mom Dad please what did I do? Please help me don't let them take me!!"
I'm yelling at them hoping they would do something.
The guy who was holding me grips my arms tighter I wince at the pain as he pulls me close to him.
"Stop struggling." he grits out to me. "They aren't going to help you now you belong to Mr. Grey. So be a good little girl and walk. "
I stop fighting and yelling and walked with them they lead me out of the house and straight to an SUV parked there at the curb. The one guy opens the door for My Grey he slides in the guy pushes me towards the car.
" Get in now," he says to me.
I look back at the house and see no one is even looking out the window for me. I wipe my face and slide in he closes the door and gets in the front seat the other guy gets in the driver seat the other two get in a car behind us.
"Let's go," Mr. Grey says. The car takes off I just look out the window.
"Now Maxine" I hear Mr. Grey say.
I turn my head and look at him.
"I'm sure you are wondering why you had to come with me."
I just nod my head.
"Simply, your parents owed me a lot of money and well they couldn't pay the debt so you are the payment."
I just looked at him. Did he just say my parents sold me to him?
"So I was sold to you?" I say to him.
"Well not so much as sold but their debt is paid in full. I wanted your sister but your parents insisted it was you to be used for the payment."
My heart sank with his words my parents chose me to give away to him how could they do that?
"Even though your sister is prettier I'm sure I can get a good price for you."
That broke me out of my thought.
I snap my head and look at him.
"Price?" I say softly.
"Yes, my dear price I have a few people in mind that would like someone like you. What did you think was gonna happen this is how I get my money back."
"You're going to sell me!" I all but yelled.
