At Saving Hope Rescue, we are dedicated to saving lives, but right now, we’re facing a critical challenge that slows down our efforts in doing so. Our veterinary bills have piled up, and we're struggling to cover the costs of both essential and critical care for the animals who depend on us. Yes, the funds from previous posts, fundraisers, and North Texas Giving Day have been used for the same plea we are putting out now- please help us cover our out standing medical care costs! It goes fast, we have over 1,100 animals in care. It seems often and a lot, we know this. We are looking at a projected 1.5-6 million in medical care this year. We have both cats and dogs that at worst, are going in or staying over night for complex medical cases, surgeries, or major illness, and at best for spay and neuters every day, there are meds to fill, prescription food to buy, and heartworm treatment and injections to give every day. We don’t just take in the healthy ones, we fight for the lives that are struggling and need us too. They deserve it, it’s us humans that got them here in the first place. To put all of our dogs on heartworm prevention alone costs an average of $6,000 a month!
