Downtown Westfield WinterWalk is back!

Downtown Westfield WinterWalk debuted in 2023 and was a big hit with creators and community ... downtown Westfield was alive with lots of shoppers exploring center city Westfield. We're doing it again in 2024! This exhibition combines the traditional urban art walk with an outdoor European-style winter market, spanning three large downtown Westfield city blocks from Court Street to Franklin Street and all points in between during the busy holiday shopping season.

A production of ArtWorks of Westfield, Downtown WinterWalk is part of our continuing efforts to bring creators and community together to engage, inform, inspire, empower, educate, and entertain in downtown Westfield, home of the future Downtown Westfield Cultural District.

New, emerging, experienced, and professional artists and authors are all encouraged to apply to show and share your talent and creativity with the community.

We are all about a thriving creative economy in Westfield where local and regional creators are invited to share their talent and creativity with the world, engage with the community and sell their work with minimal costs or fees.

We have capacity to host about 50 fine artists and fine artisans, authors and creators! This is a juried show.

Accepted media:
Accepted media includes painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, collage, photography, printmaking, digital art, functional art, fine handcrafted jewelry, wood, glass, metal, fine fiber, clay, ceramics. Accepted literature includes original works in all literary genres.

Display spaces:
OUTDOOR 10' x 10' spaces suitable for pop-up tents;
INDOOR display spaces approximately 3’ x 6’ suitable for display tables, easels and small display racks;
INDOOR wall spaces in shops and stores along Elm Street.

ARTISTS ALONG ELM & SCHOOL STREET PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY
School Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Elm Street to Central Street and transformed into a pedestrian walkway, featuring up to 28 local and regional artists showcasing their work in pop up display tents similar to outdoor European winter markets.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the best outdoor displays. Details to follow!

ART IN UNUSUAL PLACES ~ OLVER TRANSIT PAVILION
As part of our Art In Unusual Places Series, artists will be displaying their work inside the Olver Transit Pavilion, located on Arnold Street adjacent to the new Elm Street Plaza, as well as along the sidewalk outside the transit pavilion. We’ve been leveraging this fully functional transit hub as a re-imagined, pop-up exhibition space during the holiday season since 2017.
Additionally, artists will showcase their work in several former retail locations along Elm Street. Several pop up galleries will be located in shops, restaurants and cafes along Elm Street from School Street to Franklin Street.

Display spaces within the Olver Transit Pavilion and several open store fronts along Elm Street are approximately 3’ x 6’ suitable for display tables, easels and upright rack displays.

Wall gallery display spaces within several small businesses and shops along Elm Street.
Artists provide tents, tables, display panels, easels, chairs, etc. to showcase your work.

Show Fee:
$35 ~ ArtWorks Westfield annual supporting membership payable upon acceptance in show; non-refundable. Annual membership not only supports the expansion of art and cultural experiences and opportunities in Westfield, it also allows you to participate in future juried exhibitions for FREE upon acceptance during your membership period. Membership also provides free admission other activities like critiques, workshops, supply swaps and the like.
