Finally!!! Let’s talk. 😊 Have you ever wanted to sit your kids down and ask them questions and have a camera rolling? Ha!! 😂

As I assesss the reason for this post…..I ask:

Have you ever felt like you’ve been wandering through the desert? You knew God was taking you somewhere, your TRUST was intact, you could feel the leading…..but everything was so unfamiliar.😭

Nothing was the same. And of course, it was unnerving. And for us? The impact was multifaceted.

The music shifted. 🎶

I realize, this isn’t a breaking story. It’s not a newsflash for those who have followed us. We’ve taken our time. We have nothing to prove to anyone but God and ourselves.

My first priority wasn’t the music, it was my girls mental health. So we focused on healing…..made the music work….often times singing songs that we hadn’t recorded…..allowing the organic moments of iron sharpening iron….to happen. 😊

These girls have learned to depend on each other musically….it’s entertainment for me on most days, but it’s also a pre-planned blessing that the Lord knew would occupy this season of their lives.

Finally, we ventured into the studio….and I asked them what they wanted to sing. Let it be known that they DO write, and that album is COMING very soon. It will be here in 2025.

But it’s a very vulnerable thing…..to re-align an entire musical sound, and attempt to break into the world as songwriters as well, at the same time.

My momma brain told me that this was a one-thing-at-a-time journey for them. This music making is tricky….but I know the key to longevity is to love what you sing.

So I posed the question to the girls. What to do you WANT to sing? The result was a fabulous week of studio sessions that were packed with fun, a good dose of the anointing, and the underlying feeling that GOD was doing what He always does. A NEW THING.

On this beautiful Tuesday, as I look out at the Tennessee fall that’s in full swing, the leaves 🍁 are starting to change, the feeling of change is tangible in the crisp Tennessee air….and it’s as if the weather understands my mood.

It’s clear to me that the God that I serve, the God who walked through fire, hell, and lots of change and disappointment with us….that same God….ushered me and these girls to a place of undeniable HAPPINESS. 😊

There. I said it. We’re happy. 😊

We decided to name this album 💿 “The Isaiah Sessions” to create a marker…..a tribute….to the page being TURNED.

He promised He would do a new thing in Isaiah 43, and lo and behold….He did it. 🙌🏻

Now. Just for a minute….allow me. 😉

These girls are funny, their singing is a gift to me and the world, but beyond that….they would fight a tiger to defend what’s right. I’m super proud that they’ve stood…..UNTIL the change came.

They didn’t run. They didn’t bow. They didn’t chase self absorbed lifestyles.

They pulled in, stuck it out, and HONED their craft.

Look out world. 🌎

They’re ready.

We made it. We’ve learned a few things.

As we stumbled through the desert 🌵 we realized that EVEN then, EVEN ON THE DAYS that we’re living the DESERT life instead of the “everyone’s calling life”…..the fruit was still living….if we water what’s inside of us, it will survive. 🙌🏻

Yep. We made it.
