-So, what does she look like? - Jason asked.
-Why didin't you show up and saw for yourself?- Dylan answered.
-Don't get smart with me, Dylan. I was busy, you know that. Besides, I have whole life to look at her. - said Jason.
-Ok, ok. Well, she was not pleased with you absence, I'll tell you that.-that wasn't a lie.
-I rented a huge property for the wedding here near the ocean. It has the main mansion and two seperate mansions for the brides' and grooms' Families. We'll be there on Friday night. Molly will come to, she's on her way.- Jason said calmly.
-Jason? You're bringing Molly to your own wedding? How can you do this to that poor bride of yours? You haven't even met her yet and you're bringing your mistress? What's next? You're planning on keeping Molly at the house once you're married? - asked Dylan.
-That's excatly what I'm thinking. The house is big enough for both. They don't even have to see each other.- Jason answered.

Angie
Angie was staring out the window when her younger sister walked in the room. The autmun leaves were falling from the trees and she felt hopeless. It served as a convinient metaphore for her life, the leaves had everything just a week ago when they were bound to the trees and they were the most beautiful sight, green and strong in the summer. But now it all ended just as the first drops of rain came pouring from the sky that was so gray it makes you think you never seen a light of sunshine in your life.
Last night her father called her to his office and told her she's going to marry Jason Bates, the head of the Bates Family from East Coast. She knew excatly who he was and he was in no means the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
She heard that he was ruthless. His brother was killed a few years ago and he had no other sibling. His parents were also dead. She knew that he was a killer, a criminal who wouldn't blink once if he had to end someones life.
Leila, her younger sister, looked at her all helpless.
-Aren't you gonna say anything? You're not even trying to convince father to rethink this decision. -Leila said while her blue eyes stared at Angie.
-What can I do? - Angie smiled in the way that made Leila wonder if she's aware at all of the situation she's in.
But Angie knew even more than Leila ever could imagine. There was no way out. She always knew. Her little sister was naive. Angie always tried to protect her and never wanted her to worry about anything. But the time has come for Leila to face the reality. She'll know now what's their duty as the daughters of the mafia boss. They can never live an ordinary life and they'll never be free.
-You can escape. I'll help you, I'll go with you. We'll leave all this behind and start a new life. - Leila said as she watched the hope leave her sisters big blue eyes.
Leila knew in her heart that Angie would never do that not because of the lack of bravery which Leila knew Angie had more than enough when she accepted her faith. No, it was because of duty.
Leila always admired her sister. She took care of Leila when their mother died, she never saw her cry, but she also never saw her this desperate and hopeless.
-It's a nice dream you have there little sister, but it's just a dream. Tonight is the engagement celebration, I need to get ready. All you can do is help me do that. Help me pick a dress and put make up on so I don't look like a ghost. Although, it would be great if my new fiance saw me like this and changed his mind. - Angie laughed as she said - Help me accept my new life and forget the one I wanted.

Jason
Jason was just about to go to dinner when his cellphone rang and Dylan told him that John Reins, head of the West coast biggest Family wanted to talk to him. It was a surprise for Jason because for the last few years their Families were fighting each other over some teritorry in the Midwest. But for a few months now the situation got more complicated when the new gang showed up and started to attack both Families. Jason didin't care much for that area but his honor was at steak if he allows Reins to control all the teritorry. It was bigger problem for John. So fighting the Bates family and the new gang was almost impossible for him. The phone call came at the right time, Jason thought. He wanted to focus more on his bussines on the East coast.
-Tell him to meet me at the restaurant and tell him I guarantee safety. - Jason said as he entered the limo.
He preffered to drive himself, but this is LA, not New York, so Dylan insisted that he asks Miles, his driver and security guard to drive him around. Jason never cared that much about security as he thought that he is perfectly capable to look after himslef since he's been training his whole life and can handle a variety of weapons in his sleep. But Dylan was right, it's not safe, especially since he has no heir.
They arrived at the restaurant just in time to order a drink and wait for John Reins to come. The dinner was long, the chat was mostly unnecessery but the agreement was made. He's going to marry Reins' daughter Angela who just turned 18. Jason didin't mind the marriage, he knew he should get married soon and start his own family and give his mafia Family the heir they all wanted. But he also knew that he could never love his wife, that's not how things function in his world. He can't afford to love because that makes him vulnerable and to be fair, after his brother died, he didin't need love, all he wanted was revenge and power.
Even though he didn't care that much for loving marriage, he was curious about his new fiancee. What does she looks like, acts like, speaks like, thinks like? He didin't want to spend the rest of his life with someone that doesn't interest him at all. He wanted someone he would desire from time to time or someone he can talk to and trust with his home and his Family. He agreed on marriage because the girl comes from the same world as he, so she'll understand the way he lives his life.
Then he thought about Molly and her possible reaction to the news. She will be furious. They've been sleeping with each other for a few months now and although Jason didin't care that much for the relationship, he wanted to protect Molly as she was with his Family for a while now. After all, it was not a real relationship since Jason never really had a proper girlfriend. All he cared about was that. He broke many hearts in New York but he was always fair to them, he always told them that he didin't want relationship. Now he'll have a marriage with the person he never met before. What an irony, he thought. Molly would have to deal with it. He didin't even thought about ending their little fling because Molly was always there to please him and never asked him anything in return. It was convinient. But she was not marriage material.
-Tonight is the engagement party. What gift did you buy for your new fiance? - Dylan teased Jason. He thought that the marriage idea was absurd especially if the bride was Reins' daughter. But he trusted his friend and his decision. Jason always does what's best for the family, Dylan thought. He knew him since they were five years old, they grew up together, trained together and chased the girls together. Now they're men who need to take responsibility.
-A gift? I need to buy a gift?! We are giving her a million dollar ring, what else does she needs?!- Jason said.
-We are not giving her a ring, YOU ARE. - Dylan replied. - Besides, you don't even plan to attend the engagement party! You are sending me to deliver the ring for you!
-Tell them that I apologize but I couldn't make it due to the bussines problem that came up. I want to experience to the fullest these last nights that I'm free so I'm going to be exploring everything that LA women offer and more. - Jason smirked.
- Like you're not going to be experiencing that once you're married.- Dylan joked.
- You're right, but I'm going to be married. - Jason concluded as he exited the room.

Angie
The rain finally stopped and the guests started to arrive to Reins' mansion.
Servants were decorating a house and it was finally ready for the reception. Leila and nanny Beth who stayed to take care of the girls and the house after their mother died, helped Angie to get ready for the night.
She was wearing a beautiful long golden dress that suited her like a glove.
They were both so beautiful and yet so different, Beth thought. They were just a year and half apart but Angie was always more mature as if she is ten years older than Leila.
You could hear the music and guests from upastairs and it made Angie even more nervous. She's going to meet her future husband any minute now. It all felt so sureal.
-Are you ready? You know you still have time to escape, I can make all the preperations in the second if you want. - Leila said, like she is the queen of the world and not just 17-year-old daughter of the mafia boss.
- I am ready. Let's just get this over with. You know this is just an engagement, my wedding is on Saturday so I'll inform you about the need of escaping after I meet my fiance. You'll have plenty of time to plan it. -Angie laughed knowing not even three years of planning and especially not three days of planning would be enough to successfully escape the mafia.
After what it felt like hours, Beth came to the Angies' room and told her and Leila that it's time for them to come down and meet the Bates family. Angie felt like she was about to faint but she kept her posture for the sake of her sister. She didin't want Leila to think that she was scared.
Leila was the first to come down the stairs and all men gathered to see Jasons' bride and her sister. The men were delighted to see pretty Leila in her short black dress hoping that there's a resemblence between the girls. John introduced his younger daughter to the crowd and she didin't look at all impressed by the Bates entorouge. Dylan could see that she hated them.
A few seconds passed and Angie started to walk down the stairs with her golden dress like a princess from some sort of fairytale. While she was coming down, Leila tried to guess which of the Bates men was Jason. They all looked so tall and strong.
John reached out for Angies' hand and started to introduce her to the guests of honor. But none of the man she met was Jason and she started to wonder where her future husband is. After a few minutes she asked her father about her fiance whereabouts, but she was dissapointed to found out that he didin't come to their engagement. She was shocked. The nerve, she thought. What was more important than this?!
-I didin't know we could choose not to come tonight. -She said to Dylan. He looked at her with the smirk on his face that she didn't understand.
Dylan was very much amused by the situation. Firstly, Jason didin't know what he was missing. His fiancee was one of the most beautiful woman he ever saw, and Dylan knew that Jason would like her. Secondly, she was pissed. There was a fire inside of her and she was funny and smart as well. He knew that Jason would hate this. She was sarcastic and stubborn but at the same time stunning, and although she tried to hide it, she was terrified.
-I'm sorry for the incoviniance but in our line of work, you surely know, things can get...complicated. So Jason couldn't come tonight but he wants me to apologize for him and he wants me to give you this little token of appreciation. - Dylan said while giving her little velvet box.
-Who does he think I am? I don't care about his expensive presents, I wanted to meet my future husband before the wedding but it looks like he has better things to do.

Jason
-So, what does she look like? - Jason asked.
-Why didin't you show up and saw for yourself?- Dylan answered.
-Don't get smart with me, Dylan. I was busy, you know that. Besides, I have whole life to look at her. - said Jason.
-Ok, ok. Well, she was not pleased with you absence, I'll tell you that.-that wasn't a lie.
-She's not much of a looker but if you turn down the lights in the bedroom I think you could get her pregnant. -Dylan said while trying to hold in his laugh.
-Are you serious? What about her personality then? -Jason asked. He knew that Dylan never lied to him so he didn't think that he's lying to him now.
-She talked all night long about her love for gardening. It's like she was raised to be a nun or something. She is very shy but at the same time a little bit boring once she starts talking.- Dylan said now fearing that his friend would cancel the wedding but he knew that Jason always keeps his word.
-Jesus. What have I done?! I can't back down now. Well, once we're married we don't need to see each other, I'll spend my days in my hotel penthouse and she can have the house. We'll see each other on holidays and she'll raise my children while I work. -Jason said happily and felt proud as he always has the solution.
Dylan smiled to his friend and they went on to talk about the wedding.
-I rented a huge property for the wedding here near the ocean. It has the main mansion and two seperate mansions for the brides' and grooms' Families. The reception will be held at the main mansion but we will reside at the grooms' mansion until the wedding. We'll be there on Friday night. I called Reins and told him about the brides' mansion so she can go there when she likes as well, but we'll not see each other until Saturday. Molly will come to, she's on her way.- Jason said calmly.
-Jason? You're bringing Molly to your own fukcing wedding? How can you do this to that poor bride of yours? You haven't even met her yet and you're bringing your mistress? What's next? You're planning on keeping Molly at the house once you're married? - asked Dylan.
-That's excatly what I'm thinking. The house is big enough for both. They don't even have to see each other.- Jason answered and the discussion was over.

Angie
This September was no different than the others. She was about to marry a man she never met and the man who is so ruthless and ignorant that he couldn't even come to their engagement party.
She couldn't end her life although the thought had crossed her mind, but she couldn't leave her poor sister behind. She must be strong for her, she must try to persuade her father not to do this to Leila next year. She'll beg him to let Leila choose the man she wants to marry. Who knows, maybe her sacraface will mean that Leila will be free.
That Friday they all packed and went to the mansions her fiance rented for the big day. How sweet of him, Angie sarcastically thought. She reluctantly admited to herself that the property was beautiful. If it wasn't for the arranged marriage with that man, she even thought she would picked it herself for her dream wedding. Even Leila was amazed.
-Oh my God, Angie. It's something right? Look at that beach, look at that trees, look at that house...- Angie listend to her sister for the whole way to the brides mansion.
-Yes, it's perfect for the most unperfect event. -Angie laughed.
-I'm sorry sister, I almost forgot that you're marrying a monster. -Leila replied honestly.
-It is a wedding. - Angie said trying to be happy.- We should be joyful. After all, we are the bride and the maid of honor.- Angie tried to comfort her sister like Leila is the one who's getting married to a stranger and a criminal tomorrow.
They arrived to the brides' mansion and servants greeted them kindly. They showed them to their rooms and Angie was impressed with the one she got that looked over to the ocean.
She put on her old jeans and black hoodie, untied her hair and tied her shoes and went to explore the area.
-She needs some time alone. -Leila said to the servants.
Jason arrived that night at the grooms' mansion with Dylan and most of the Bates family including Molly. She couldn't wait to hug and smooch him even though it wasn't appropriate.
But Molly never cared about social manners. She went straight to his arms as soon as they arrived and in front of all servants that greeted them. They could've easily thought that she's the bride for the way she acted, but they knew the bride has already arrived that afternoon.
-Molly please don't do that in front of people, especially on the day before my wedding. -Jason said while he pushed her out of his way.
-But you don't understand Jason, you're getting married tomorrow and I want to use this time to the fullest. It's all we have now. Will you be joining me tonight? I have a speacial bachelor party ready for you in my room. -Molly looked at him with her green eyes trying to make him feel guilty and lustful at the same time.
-I need to go on my evening run first. Wait for me in your bedroom and be nice. -Jason instructed her.
Angie sat down by the beach to look at the ocean. She thought about her life and how she was careless and happy when her mother was alive. She knew how to deal with her father, and she was certain that if her mother was alive today she would not allow her father to give her hand in marriage to anyone but the man Angie chooses herself. But that's now in the past.
She headed back to the mansion but on her way she realized that someone was following her. It was the security she told herself, no need to worry.
But as soon as her pace started to get quicker the man behind her started to walk faster. The security never came that close to her if they haven't been called, they always kept their distance.
Now she was in her panic mode and started to run but the man was faster than her and soon he caught up with her. He grabbed her by her leg and she fell on the ground and started to scream for help. The man then shut her mouth with his hand and she was trying to kick him off of her. She felt that he was turned on by her resisting. She thought that she's going to be raped then and there and just day before her wedding. How ironic, she thought to herself, and here all day I'm thinking about how I'm getting raped tomorrow at my wedding night.
She closed her eyes and the next thing she knew there was another man who grabbed her attacker and pushed him on the ground and proceeded to hit him in the face.
The attacker lost his consciousness and the man continued to hit him.
-You're going to kill him! Stop please. - Angie pleaded with the man.
