Can a 4-year-old child read and understand what she is reading? You bet! Any parent can do it, and it only takes 10mins/day.

I also do not recommend using ineffective “strategies” of guessing and skipping over unknown or unfamiliar words! This combined with sight words is one of the primary causes of reading struggles in children.
