Should you wait for lower rates to buy a house? 🏡<br /> If it was me, I would want to know what that will actually save me on my payments, and what it will cost me in terms of foregone appreciation!<br /> <br /> Appreciation in Bellingham has averaged over 8% per year over the last 10 years, but for this example I believe that we will see closer to 3-5% appreciation this year. On a $500k home with 20% down, a 0.5% lower interest rate saves you about $1,500/year.
