Hey y’all its PD. So, I’ve had some things going on and got a bit sidetracked from talking about how the devil blocks your breakthrough, but I am back!! Ok so, I’ve given you some of his top tactics but now we’re moving into his advanced weapons arsenal to give you a glimpse of some of his most powerful schemes he uses for God’s most powerful warriors. Keep in mind that Satan is about as dumb as a box of rocks, so he is not very creative. These tactics are all pretty simple and fairly straightforward which is why they are easy to identify and relatively easy to diffuse with some courage and even elementary grasp on God’s Word.<br /> <br /> Satan, at this next level, brings up past hurts and failures. One thing he is good at is manipulation. He has had thousands of years to practice it, and he knows that if he can keep you shackled to the pain of your past, he can prevent you from stepping into the fullness of your future. He whispers lies that your past defines you, that your failures are final and that your wounds are too deep to heal, but I am here to tell you that the devil is a liar. The Word of God declares in Isaiah 43 verses 18 to 19, “forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up. Do you not perceive it?” Listen up, my friends, when the enemy tries to drag you back to your past remind him of your future. Remind him of the God who redeems, restores and renews. Your past hurts and failures are not the end of your story. They are merely the backdrop against which God&#039;s grace and power are displayed. Remember Joseph, who endured betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment, yet emerged victorious because he held on to his faith and his dreams. He did not allow the bitterness of his past to overshadow the promise of his future. Instead, he forgave those who wronged him, and God elevated him to a position of power and influence.<br /> <br /> Watch this, I am going to give you the counterattack for this powerful but easy to conquer tactic. Here it is: It’s going to be hard sometimes, but I am telling you it is an effective remedy that actually works on many affronts- Healing and forgiveness are your weapons against the enemy&#039;s attacks!! The enemy wants to keep you bound by resentment and regret, but forgiveness breaks the chains and sets you free. It allows you to move forward with a heart unburdened by the weight of yesterday&#039;s pain. Jesus said in Matthew six verses 14 to15, “for if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others for their sins, your father will not forgive your sins.” Many preachers and Christians alike have distorted that verse for various reasons ever since it came out of the mouth of Jesus Christ, but the truth is, y’all, that forgiveness is not just about freeing the other person, it is about freeing yourself. It is about releasing the power that past hurts have over you and reclaiming your peace and your joy. Moving forward in faith is not just a suggestion, it is a commandment. Hebrews 12 verses 1 to 2 tell us, “therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” When you fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, you will find the strength to overcome every obstacle, every lie, and every attack of the enemy in the face of Satan&#039;s strategies.<br /> <br /> Stand firm in the truth of God&#039;s Word. Declare to yourself that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you as Romans 8 37 declares. Speak life about your dreams, your goals, and your future. Do not let the enemy&#039;s lies take root in your heart. Instead, fill your mind with the promises of God. For as Second Corinthians 1 verse 20 says, they are “yes and Amen in Christ Jesus.” Glory to God, Hallelujah!
