Hundreds of nominees all confirmed what we already knew: that teaching is one of the world&#039;s most noble professions. <br /> <br /> One of the true pleasures of running an e-commerce company like this is the ability to connect with people nationwide and hear their stories ❤️🥹 Thank you for sharing yours. <br /> <br /> Read a selection of a few of the winning nominations below:<br /> <br /> 📣👏 &quot;I nominate Daniel Rodriguez in Lodi, California. Mr. Rodriguez is a brilliant music teacher and Spanish teacher. He has had to overcome huge challenges, bringing his family here to America. He is so talented in teaching concert band that he can make even the smallest group of kids sound amazing. He has won many awards with his concert band and elite choir and was able to take them to perform with a group youth choir at Carnegie Hall. He is a brilliant classically trained pianist and is now teaching Spanish at a charter school in Stockton, CA. He has such a love for educating young kids that he has had a piano brought into his classroom so he can introduce music in his Spanish classes. Although he has had to endure many health challenges, he continues to change the lives of his students. I’m nominating Mr. Rodriguez because his love for cheese is only second to his love for teaching😊&quot; - Katherin S.<br /> <br /> 📣👏 &quot;I would like to nominate Carrie Ficke of Wamego, KS. Carrie has been a delightful first impression for my children as they started their public school journey. Each of my children had Carrie for their first teacher and I wish each parent could have the same experience for their children. The classroom is a warm-environment, expectations are age-appropriate, and the challenges and celebrations of their academic achievement + personal growth are phenomenal to see unfold. The foundation for a child’s education is paramount to developing a lifelong desire to learn and become a positive contributing member to society. Fortunately for my children and the children of Carrie’s classroom and for all of society, we will be benefactors to the foundation she’s built in the decades she’s dedicated to teaching.&quot; - Casie H.<br /> <br /> 📣👏 &quot;I would like to nominate Nate Barker, of Pelican, Alaska. Nate wears many hats. Besides being one of only two teachers for our community (the other being his wife, Jessica), he has become a strong and dependable pillar for all of us in our tiny town. There are only about 80 year round residents here, which boils down to 15 kids in the entire school &#039;system&#039;. Life in the bush has many challenges, and since transplanting here from Arizona, Mr. Barker has taken them head on. All of the kids love Mr. Barker. He has implemented new and fun extracurricular activities, like archery, fur sewing, and small engine repair. A mobile green house has been obtained to teach the kids all about gardening. They go on expeditions around our town into the wilderness to fish, hike, and learn about the salmon spawning rivers.<br /> <br /> Mr. Barker is also on the City Council, Emergency Medical Response Team, Fire Hall Volunteer, and just picked up a side gig for the summer at our fuel dock. He&#039;s been actively involved in the new development of our public trail system just outside of town, in the Tongass National Forest. Nate and his wife are HUGE foodies, and would appreciate this gift box. We only have one limited availability grocery store out here, and a small cafe, so cheesy goodies are hard to come by on the daily. I know I sure love getting a box of cheese in the mail!&quot; - Celeste W.<br /> <br /> 📣👏 &quot;I am nominating Rebecca Preston of the Katy ISD in Texas. She has been teaching for 10 years in grades 1st, 2nd and 4th. She is a firm believer in all children deserve a top notch free public education, without regard to race, gender or religious beliefs. Rebecca is a fighter for her students, as well as her peers. This year she represented all instructional coaches in front of the Katy School Board to fight for equal pay for herself and her peers. Seeing a need for technology integration for her students, she completed a 30 hour course and was awarded 15 chrome books for her classroom to work with her students in technology. And she was asked to give a professional development course at the CAMT Math Conference, as you can see, Rebecca is passionate for her students and her peers.
