Tomorrow I will execute her!”<br /> “You can’t do that!” I growl at him. “This is a set up!” but he just left, dragging Lexie after him.<br /> “Just a moment,” she says. “I need to ask her something.” she excuses herself.<br /> “I am not leaving you alone with a criminal” Adam says and let me tell you. He is the criminal here, because he is killing me with his actions.<br /> “She can’t hurt me anymore” Lexie tells him and gives him a nod . “Not now when I know the truth. Please” she begs him with her fake soft voice.<br /> “I will give you five minutes and if you are not in bed, Lexie, I swear to the goddess that I am going to beat you.” he commands her but she just smiles and pecks his cheek.<br /> “I promise, my Alpha”<br /> “Bad woman!” Kelly growls “She is doing it on purpose!” and she would like to transform and kill Lexie , but she can’t even heal me.<br /> “So?” Lexie asks me as soon as we are alone. “How is it to lose everything?” and she starts to laugh like crazy.<br /> “Why are you staring at me like this?” she asks me, mocking me. “You were such an easy target,” she says, wrapping her arms at her chest. “<br /> “You framed me out!” I told her while I supported myself on a wall so I could sit on my feet. “This is your work” I say and I know that I am right and for the first time in my life , my heart is full of hatred. I hate Lexie Banks. At this moment I even hate Adam for not believing in me, for hurting me so badly.<br /> “Of course it was my work. Her skin is so white and pure that you could say that she doesn’t have even a drop of blood in her system, and maybe she doesn’t. Maybe she is dead too…<br /> “Stop blabbering in your own head ,Natalie,” the woman told me and motioned to me to come closer and I just followed her command without blinking.<br /> “You are the Moon Goddess” I say in awareness. I am staying in front of the Moon Goddess, this is how dead I am.<br /> “I am” she says and stops and watches the scenery.<br /> “Is this heaven?” I ask her and she turns her head and asks me.<br /> “Do you like this place?” but her eyes make me confused. It’s me or her.” I say as if it is nothing and turn my back to him ignoring Lexie’s presence and making her boil for sure.<br /> “Leave me alone, Adam!” and I push him away from me.<br /> “You can’t bring this woman here!” I say and Lexie starts to cry as if I just pushed a button and a soap operas or namby-pamby show started instantly.<br /> “And after you come here with ehr to think that I will just smile and say, oh babe, I am so happy, please let her stay! I am to the moon and back with happiness because you found your fated mate!”<br /> “Are you insecure, Natalie?” Adam asks and looks at me with a stupid grin on his face but he makes me turn around completely and pointing to my face I ask seriously.<br /> “Do I look insecure, dear husband?”<br /> “Look, I just want to know that she is safe. If this is about your Luna position I promise you”<br /> And here he starts.<br /> “I promise you that nothing will change. You are my Luna, Natalie. I know that he is shocked that he is not used to me resisting him. Every time I was submitting to him but that is over now.<br /> “Babe, don’t be like that!” he whispers.<br /> “Natalie!” Adam calls me, but I just walk away and push everyone in my way.<br /> I didn’t even have time to adapt to this new life that the danger is already above my head.<br /> “Babe!” Adam says coming after me , but I motion to him to stop.<br /> “Just stay there, Adam!” I tell him. “I am sick of you!”<br /> And his eyes became angry hearing me.<br /> “I need to be alone!” and saying that I ran to the forest.<br /> I need to clear my mind!<br /> “Natalie!” Adam called me and I could hear him running after me. Just tried to stop me, you jerk! Just try it.<br /> I ran outside the packhouse and in one jump in the air I let Kelly take control. This is our first shift after I came back from death&#039;s arms. I need this like air. I need to calm down or I am going to kill every single person that hurt me in my past, and by past I mean my former life.<br /> “Natalie! Stop it right now!” he shouts but I don’t care.<br /> “”Take us to our place, girl!” I tell Kelly and she runs directly into the forest, jumping from cliffs and giving me the ride of her life until Adam’s voice can’t be heard anymore.<br /> I can see her white paws hitting the ground in her attempt to exhaust herself to the point where every single cell of our system will be so tired that we will just rest and close our eyes, and stay there in peace.<br /> I can see her reflection in the water while she stops for a second to lick some water from the river and she is so beautiful that I want to cry. She is the best gift I received from the gods. The best wolf ever.<br /> Calm and good hearted. Strong and powerful at the same time and so beautiful. I suppose that her appearance was what made Adam claim me. Kelly is as big as his wolf and he is an Alpha by birth while I was born as a beta. Completely white and with clear sky blue eyes she is perfect. She doesn’t deserve the Adam put us though.<br /> She deserves to be happy. We should have stayed in heaven, because let me tell you. This is the underworld. Coming here, coming back is pure underworld!<br /> I have no idea how long we run but now seeing her reflection, seeing the moonlight over Kelly put me in front of a decision. This is our perfect place, where we have been since I was a child. This is my happy place on Earth. Far enough from Red Blood Pack, but still on its territory, on the shore of crystal clear mountain lake and with the night’s sky above my head. Just the Luna of this bloody pack.<br /> I am lying completely undressed as if I am tanning at the moonlight and questions after questions are pop-ing into my mind. There are so many why me, so many what if and even more why now.<br /> I laid there lost in my thoughts and I didn’t even realize when a foreign scent filled the air.<br /> “God, Kelly!” I say jumping on my feet.<br /> “Who is there?” I ask scared. Is not a scent from our pack. Holy whoever is here is watching me undressed!<br /> And before I could do or say another word I looked around and grabbed the clothes that Kelly carried here during our run. I almost feel those eyes on me, and a manly scent, is someone that emanates a lot of power, but where is he hiding?<br /> “Just dress and run, Nat!” Kelly whispers a little bit taken aback.<br /> I dressed myself with the light speed and I just fled out of here, without looking back. Whoever was here watching me can&#039;t be here with good intentions.<br /> I ran as fast as I could and jumped over the river and cliffs and just when I was ready to turn my head back and see if someone was coming after me something hard hit me.<br /> “What , Natalie!” a voice asks as I try to lift myself from the ground, completely<br /> shocked from my encounter with…Phillip. Phillip our beta? What is he doing here?<br /> “Natalie, are you alright?” He asks as he offers me his hand and helps me lift from the ground.<br /> “Yeah, I was just looking back...I thought...”I say but looking at him a strange idea came to my mind. Was he the one who was watching me?<br /> “No, he smells different” Kelly whispers , sniffing the air. “That was not a scent from our pack.”<br /> “What are you doing here, Phillip? “ I ask him and take a look back, but trying to look confident as if nothing happened.<br /> “I was patrolling the area and I caught a foreign scent. It’s a wolf from another pack that entered here without permission” he says and that made my heart jump.<br /> Kelly was right. But who was the mysterious man ? Was he a pervert? Why would he watch an undressed woman from behind the trees? And I can’t focus on thinking about this strange man.<br /> “Natalie, you shouldn’t walk alone at this hour with that stranger around. We don’t know his intentions, if he just got lost or if he is here with evil intentions. I am driving you home” he tells me and motions when I walk.<br /> “I can walk alone, you know? I am not five to babysit me, Phillip” I tell him and look back again.<br /> And I see him pushing an omega that just appeared into his way as he enters the packhouse.<br /> “I want to divorce” I say and I can’t believe that I am saying this but this is what I want.<br /> “I want to divorce!”<br /> That’s it! I made my mind. I need to divorce him. Staying in this relationship it’s like deja-vu. Even if he rejected her this time, that is not helping me at all. She is still here, isn’t she? She will push herself over him until he can&#039;t live without her anymore.<br /> His stupid wolf wants his fated mate.<br /> So, yeah, there is no need for me to make the same mistakes again. Old habits die hard... I guess. She will frame again so why not take care of my safety by myself? Why not show them what it means to work against a woman who love with all her heart a traitor husband.<br /> Adam will never control me over life or death. I will be in control of my actions!
