Body | Seafood lovers rejoice this weekend, the Taphouse has you covered on all fantastic fronts! Submitted for your approval: a luxurious lobster papardelle and the first-ever Taphouse oyster shootout! First, the pasta: succulent chunks of Maine lobster meet wide ribbons of papardelle pasta bathed in a creamy lobster stock, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs to create one of the most opulent pasta dishes we've ever featured. Next, the oyster lovers of the Big Country will be thrilled to know that we've acquired a shipment of Chebooktook oysters from New Brunswick, Canada! What makes these beauties different is the fact that they're raised in cages a few feet above the sea floor, keeping them out of the sand and in optimal water conditions for perfect oyster production. This results in a clean and crisp brininess, and a liquor that is free of the sandiness and grit that can be present in other varieties. All weekend long we'll be offering mixed dozens and half dozens of these and our always-awesome Bluepoints so our oyster aficionados can compare and contrast the finer points of these two fabulous offerings.
