Body | “So are you going to kill this thing?” Alaric’s father asked. A baby with a girl who was not your mate was unwanted. ************** Their quilt tangled with each other's, and the sheets barely covered their nice forms. The girl lay there on top of the bright of his area and on his bed, she was drawing circles with her slender fingers. "In two and half months, we'll openly be together." The boy whispered and pulled the girl to his area, making her giggle in delight. "What if I'm not your mate?" The girl playfully swatted at his pillow, making him burst out in deep rumbling laughter. "Impossible, this pull, this connection I feel with you, I can tell you're my mate." He looked at the top of her head lovingly after saying that. "You can't deny the fact that we could only have a connection due to other factors." The girl sat up and told him sternly. The sheets covering her nice form from view pooled in her face, giving the boy a full view of her perky face. "Doesn't matter, Maya, I'll reject my true mate if I have to." the boy reached out and pulled the girl down to lay beside him again. "That's taboo. How can you say you'll even reject your mate? So silly." Maya mumbled sulkily before flipping herself on top of the bed, her legs straddling the chair and the sheets tugged downwards, exposing his everything. "Then you want assurance?" The boy asked, and Maya nodded. "Let's do it again, but this time, let me put a baby in you." "You're crazy, Alaric Lynx!" Maya gasped in shock and tried to get off Alaric. However, he sat up quickly and wrapped his arms around her quilt. "Let me go, you bad guy." Maya struggled against his grip, but his being the next heir to the pack was no joke. He was far stronger than she could ever be. "Just listen." Alaric rested his face on the soft pillow as she tried to use her hands to push them apart. "To talk with you and your crazy plan, Alaric. Do you know how crazy that is? Even if we weren't mates, that thought alone could be so dangerous. It won't just be about rejection. It'll be a scandal to end all scandals". Maya was furious. How could she not be? Though she loved Alaric, it wasn't to the point of silly. The possibility of them being mates was fifty/fifty. That alone should have stopped their relationship in its tracks until they were sure of being mates. Yet here they were, in bed together, wore. Among their people, loss of virtue to someone other than their mate is heavily frowned upon. So imagine the reaction to a pregnancy of two wolves not mated to each other. It would be a bad show waiting to happen. "I love you, Maya," Alaric mumbled suddenly, and Maya's struggling paused. "So listen to me, Maya. Please!" Maya could help but soften at his words. He was begging her to listen. This prideful alpha heir was begging her to listen. Her originally tense body relaxed, and this made Alaric let out a sigh of relief. "I believe we are mates, I just know it. So please, let's do it. Take a leap of faith with me, Maya." Alaric said before looking at the middle of her face. The two entangled with each other once again, but this time they would create the source of their troubles together. Soon they parted ways, and before they knew it, two and a half months passed. It was Maya's coming of age, her birthday, and also the start of school. It was the day everything went to terrible. Aurora sat up, and with the constant nagging of her wolf, she reluctantly got out of bed to get ready for the day. The first day of senior high and also the day she could find her mate. She was so giddy from excitement, she barely slept a wink. She spent the summer in her uncle's pack, hoping to find her mate. Her birthday was spent there due to this fact. Her parents had hoped her mate was from that pack, but he wasn't. Her dad said there was a possibility her mate was from their Lunar Pack, which was great in Aurora's opinion. She didn't have to uproot her life that she had always known to go to some other pack and live. Not that living in another pack was a problem. She just wanted to be very near her family. So the sheer excitement of her dreaming about her house, kids and mate kept her up until the wee hours of the morning. Looking in the mirror, her under eyes were slightly darkened. 'Oh, this is your fault, Ren.' Aurora's mind is linked to her wolf. 'My fault? No, your fault.' Ren snickered back in the link, making Aurora roll her eyes in annoyance. 'If you weren't showing me your child photo, I would be well rested.' Aurora grumbled. 'Child photo? That sounds disgusting.' Aurora could feel the contempt of her wolf through their link. 'You're a disturbed woman.' 'Well, what else would you call it? You were projecting the images of having our mate make fun with us in wolf form.' Aurora pointed out, 'Basically child photo.' 'It's not child photo, it's the best way to get pups.' Ren snarled, enraged, before cutting off their link, making Aurora shake her head and chuckle. She was only teasing and yet Ren got so angry with her. Aurora shook any stray thoughts away and began to get ready for the day. She had already planned her outfit with her mother and sister-in-law yesterday. Her mom always said first impressions always mattered. After a steamy shower, Aurora dried her skin and let her hair go. Sighing, she braced herself and untangled her curly mane of hair to get it ready for styling. Soon after, she had her hair in a bun with a few curly pieces to frame her face. Satisfied with her hair, Aurora exited the bathroom and made her way back into her bedroom to put on her clothes. She slipped on her clothes before pulling up a peach-colored long skirt with a long slit at the side exposing her slender camel-colored legs. She matched it with a cute white tube top and matched the peach skirt with a peach jacket. Aurora glanced in the mirror and did a little quirky twirl before laughing to herself and slipping on some white flats to tie the look together. Aurora once more checked herself in the mirror and then pursed her mouth in thought. She then picked up a peach color mouth tint and put on a bit. She was completely satisfied now. 'I'm outside Rory!' Maya's voice sounded in Aurora's head through their private link. "Rory, breakfast!" Her mom, Renee, shouted as Aurora zoomed past her. "Can't mom, I'm late," Aurora said to her mom quickly as she rushed to the front door. "Well, at least take your lunch." Renee grumpily complained and Aurora who was halfway out the door stopped and turned back rushing into the kitchen to get her lunch and bumped into Aiden. "Ow! Hey, watch it! You stepped on my toe with your big hooves." Aiden teased Aurora. "Mom! Aiden's bullying me again." Aurora bellowed out as she grabbed her lunch and dashed for the door again, only to bump head-first into her half-wore father. Before she could fall, her father wrapped his arm around her bag, stopping her fall. Anderson chuckled nervously as his daughter glared at him. He quickly let her go and moved to the side. Aurora waved them goodbye excitedly before opening the door and getting into the car with Maya. The two then watched the girls as they disappeared into the tree lines. "Mom," Aiden called out to his mother, who stood there gripping hard at Anderson's clothes. "Maya, she smelt..." "Pregnant." Anderson finished the sentence. "She smelt like Alaric. Mom, Dad what if..." Aiden once again trailed off, leaving his parents to come up with their own conclusion. "No, that would not happen," Renee spoke after a long silence between the three. "How long have we known Maya? She's a responsible girl." "I'd believe you, mom. If it weren't for the simple fact that today is her birthday." Aiden muttered. Anderson, who stood silently all this time, turned to Aiden and glared at him. "Enough, Aiden! There are instances where mates find each other before their coming of age." Anderson said firmly, it was to reassure his mate and to ease his son's mind. "I know you're worried about your sister, but everything is going to be okay. Her mate might not be in our pack." Aiden wanted to add more, but the glare his father was giving him made him swallow any other words of doubt he was having. Anderson looked away from his son and pulled Renee nearly and looked at her forehead. 'Don't worry.' he muttered through their private link, burying the fact his back was drenched in a cold sweat. 'It's fine.' he reassured himself. 'If anything is to happen, at top speed in wolf form. I'll make it to the school in fifteen, maybe ten minutes.' Aurora, who occupied the thoughts of her family, was sitting in Maya's car heading to school. The two friends began to catch each other up on the happenings in their lives. The slight smile on his face was quickly wiped, and he shot up from his seat, causing the chair he was sitting on to fall over. 'What's happening over by the school?' ----- "Don't look at her!" Alaric shouted to Maya, but it was too late, Maya's hand was already placed on Aurora's wolf. Causing the surrounding silence in the parking lot to shift. No details on what it was, just the orders to get outside and clear the area and try to keep the situation from escalating. That was nothing but a pipe dream. As they rushed outside, panicked young wolves rushed inside. "Make a pathway!" the principal shouted as they pushed through the students to reach outside. As they were rushing out, more students were rushing in. The weaker teachers and staff were barely able to stand as the two powerful auras swirled around them. 'So strong!' they thought as they waded through the crowd. When they finally made it to the front of the crowd, their hearts almost leaped out their throats as they saw Jace and Aurora pouncing onto Alaric and Maya respectively. The two, each shifting to their wolves and aggressively attacked the latter. Luckily, the two being attacked weren't silly men and were trained well enough. Maya waited for the last second before she rolled out of the way and shifted into her tan-blonde wolf before making a mad dash toward the shocked teachers. Maya wasn't silly, she wasn't a match for a rational Aurora, let alone one who lost control of her wolf. Seeing what would be a murder waiting to happen, the principal shifted and ran as fast as she could to block Aurora's way. Seeing the old principal spring into action, the stronger teachers shifted, while the others rushed to help Maya. As the principal blocked Aurora's wolf, Ren let out a snarl, almost making the principal bare her face in submission. 'What the thing is happening, why is my wolf trying to submit to Aurora?' But before she could hear a reply, Ren attacked without care. Ren swiped her enlarged claws at the principal. A deadly attack aimed at her face, specifically her eyes. But luckily, the other teachers tackled Ren, narrowly the principal escaped and with all seriousness realized they had to attack Aurora back. 'Attack her, she has lost control. If left alone, she'll kill us. We only have to stall until the pack warriors come.' the principal ordered. The teachers surrounded Ren, a formation was formed around the snarling she-wolf. While the teachers were solely focused on Aurora and Ren, it didn't mean they forgot about Jace and Alaric. It was because the fight was so intense, they could not do anything but watch as the two young wolves were hurt the each other. Alaric's wolf fur was dyed red, it was either blood from his own wounds or Jace's wounds. At first, Alaric thought to let Jace attack him as much as the others liked, but that thought quickly changed when he realized every attack was aimed at his vitals. Jace wasn't in control, Jut was. And Jut wanted Alaric dead. Nothing would please the wolf more than to kill the wolf that looked at and impregnated his mate. He would kill Alaric before hurting that bad guy's pup with its claws ruthless. All reasoning and logic left him. To Jut, Alaric was no longer part of his family or pack. He was just someone to hurt ruthless. But even as he wanted to kill Alaric, Alaric was no easy opponent to kill. Alaric was a full-blooded alpha male, next in line for the alpha of the pack. But that didn't mean Jace was weak. He may not be a pure-blooded alpha like Alaric, but he did have alpha blood in him. His mother was an alpha-blooded wolf, not strong as Alaric's bloodline. Because of the pack leader, alpha bloodlines tend to mate with strong or stronger bloodlines. It wasn't a stretch to say, with each new alpha, the next was stronger than the last. That's why the heir had to challenge and win against the old alpha. Either win in a fight or win in submission. Only snarls and growls with the occasional yelps of pain could be heard throughout the parking lot. The principal and the other teachers were struggling against Aurora's wolf Ren. Ren made two teachers already incapable of fighting any longer. With each snarl and growl coming out of Ren's mouth, the principal knew they could not last long. Each time Ren snarled, they all felt their wolves howling to submit. But submitting would mean losing the fight and being injured so badly you'd be flung around like a rag doll until limp. Either passed out or dead. However, luckily the two teachers who submitted weren't attacked, yet they were still gravely injured. The others knew in this fight, they would not be able to last longer. If they were to fall, Maya would be hurt ruthless. The teacher surrounding Maya looked on, their faces filled with worry. One young teacher could help but be angry. The mess was way above their pay, and they also had no idea why or how this was happening. His patience wore out as the third teacher went down. He pushed past the other and grabbed the nice Maya covered in a blanket that teachers gave her when she shifted back to human form. "Explain! What the thing is happening?" The male teacher shook Maya vigorously. Maya didn't reply, instead, she only began to cry hard. "Terrible answer! Why is this happening?" "Kevin, enough! That child is scared." A female teacher placed a hand his shoulder, and his tense body relaxed. The female teacher was his mate, just her look at made him calm down, but he couldn't stop the need to question Maya. The male teacher was about to press Maya for more answers when howls in every direction burst through the parking lot. The nearest pack warriors to the school burst in. Without a care, they leaped onto cars to make their way to the fights. Kevin had no choice but to let it go now, it was more important to get to the injured teachers. As the more highly trained warriors reached Ren, she attacked them furiously and pushed them back slightly. However, even as powerful as she was, eleven highly trained pack warriors were still a bit much for her. Ren was angry, the pack was stopping her from killing Maya. They were hurting her to save that bad woman. The more she thought about it, the angrier and more hurt she became. Her rage burst through, and soon the pack warriors weren't enough to slow down Ren. The eleven fightings her off dropped nine in the blink of an eye. That didn't mean Ren was in good shape, either. Although she aimed for the vitals, they couldn't, but the injuries on Ren were continuously rising. While the warriors were stalling Ren, new warriors started to appear. It didn't take long for the new warriors to fall into the fray. And after what felt like an eternity, the warriors managed to do what they were beginning to believe was impossible. They separated Jace and Alaric. It gave Alaric the much need time to recover some of his wits and study the surrounding chaos. Shifting back into human form, Alaric was graciously lent a hand by a pack warrior who also shifted. Tears stung Alaric's eyes, his mate surrounded and raging. Her angry snarls and hurt whimpers were coming off her in waves. He wanted to dash toward her and hold her, to calm her down. But in the state, he was in he had to stay right here not only but he had no right to calm her down. She was like this because of him. She might even attack him if he tried to go there. An angry, out-of-control Aurora was already hard enough to deal with and Alaric feared if Jace caught the scent of Maya right now, it'd send his wolf into more of a frenzy. With all the blood and chaos, the scent has been lost. It was simply a blessing in disguise as these strong pack warriors weren't focused on the smells but on the chaos. If the news of Maya's pregnancy was to break into the pack, everything would be drastically different. He didn't think of the consequences, he only thought at that time she felt like his mate. He didn't know it would be like this. If the pack warriors knew they were blocking their future Luna, they would step aside. Some would even go as far as to attack Maya for their luna. That was the loyalty of the pack toward the mother of the pack. As Alaric looked at the situation with a pained expression, Anderson and Aiden burst through from the tree lines. The father and son duo glanced at the chaos happening. Jace and Aurora's wolves were completely surrounded. Anderson paused for a second, but he rushed toward his daughter. Her pained yelps and snarls hurt him more than any wound could. After leaping on several cars, Anderson made it to the encircled Aurora and shifted. Without care for his agreement with Alaric's father the alpha of the pack, Kent, he let his aura swirl around him. Slowly, the shocked warriors made a pathway for Anderson in fright. He walked towards Ren in slow, steady steps. Even though there was an opening, the wolf didn't move nor did she fight. She only lowered her head and bared her teeth toward her father. Ren was intimidated by Anderson's aura. This was the strongest person she had come across. Of course, with her mind in limbo, she didn't even notice it was her father. "Ren," Anderson's voice came out in a deep rumble more bestial than man. His wolf Cyrus was speaking through his mouth. "Come to me, pup. Papa is here." But to Anderson's and Cyrus' surprise, Ren didn't heed his call. She instead attacked him with everything she had. It was at this moment the man and wolf realized their child had lost all reason. The situation had become worse. Seeing Aurora attack him even as he let out so much of his aura out made Anderson feel choked up. Even going as far as to speak to her with his wolf did nothing. His baby girl wasn't aware of what was happening right now. Some may think she was more of a threat to others, but Anderson knew she was more of a threat to herself. There was no rational side to her right now, her wolf knew of no reason. It was pure emotion, just rage, and pain. She disregards any pain and wounds physically because of this. To Aurora and Ren, in this most primal state, the pack they loved was protecting the one she wanted to kill, and as a powerful alpha she-wolf whose mate was next in line to become alpha, as Alaric was the only son of the alpha in the lunar pack. They were siding with a traitor and attacking their luna. But Anderson knew if the pack warriors knew the reason why everything was going down, they would allow Aurora and Ren to do as they pleased. Seeing her aggressive attack getting very near him, Anderson shifted into his black wolf. He jumped out of the way doing a one-eighty, and pounced onto Ren's back, firmly grabbing ahold of her clothes before using his weight to hurt her without any mercy. The warriors stood and watched in amazement. Anderson did what they struggled to do in a few shift movements. 'What are you silly men standing around for? Sedate her!' Anderson snarled at the warriors in the pack link. The head of the south pack warriors almost slapped himself silly. The urgency and chaos of the situation made them forget that they could have just done that in the beginning. A rookie mistake, but it wasn't every day the entire pack was thrown into chaos. This involved the golden boys and two females, nothing about this situation was simple. As the nearly group to the school, they were immediately called in as they heard Renee's panicked mind link. The head warrior quickly ordered the sedatives. The first aid response warrior wolves quickly came forward. Pack warriors were split into different divisions, all serving under the rule of the alpha and beta. Each division had specialties. The medical division were trained warriors who knew first aid. These sedatives derived from wolfsbane and wolf berry among some other ingredients were intended with one single purpose, to sedate a wolf. Whether it be a rampaging pack member, an out-of-control newly shifted young wolf, or just plain old rogue wolf, the sedative was a lifeline to keep order within the pack and outside its borders. The head pack warrior quickly ordered the few pack warriors fighting Jace off to sedate him before making his way toward Anderson and Ren in his human form. Using a tranquilizer gun, the head pack warrior pulled the trigger and shot two darts into Aurora's side. It didn't even do anything but make her mad. She struggled more fiercely, trying to buck Anderson off. Anderson could only tighten his grip on her clothes until his teeth sunk into her bag, drawing clothes. Tasting the cloth on his tongue, Anderson was at a complete loss. 'More shoot her more, they would go down like this!' Anderson hurriedly ordered, to which the head warrior did as instructed. Aiden watched as his father held down his sister and the head warrior shot her with sedatives. He turned his attention to Jace. The warriors over there were having a hard time shooting him without shooting one of their own. Aiden's eye left the situation over there and stopped at Alaric, who was receiving first aid a few feet away from him. Shifting out of his black wolf, Aiden made his way toward Alaric. Pushing aside the warriors in his way, Aiden pulled his hands back and hurt Alaric right in his eye. The turn of events was quite shocking, and again the warrior dreaded that they would need to sedate another wolf. Alaric was paying attention to Aiden from the moment he didn't run toward Aurora with Anderson. He had an inkling that Aiden would come for him. He was right, so he didn't move or alert the warriors, instead, he welcomed the beating. "I'll definitely kill you!" with each word Aiden said, Alaric received a punch. The warriors scrambled into action and began to separate the two immediately. 'Vince, we might have another problem on our hands!' A pack warrior separating the one-sided beating Alaric was receiving quickly mind-linked to his leader. The head warrior, Vince, looked back and saw the commotion, and cursed under his breath. 'Prepare to sedate him.' Vince ordered the pack warrior. 'Yes, sir!' The warrior responded and motioned toward the other warriors. They immediately moved to grab the sedatives. It was at this time Cherise and Renee burst through the tree lines. The two quickly spotted the mess. Jace was still fighting off the warriors, though his moments had slowed down and even gotten sluggish, while Anderson was pinning Aurora's wolf to the pitch, and Aiden was trying to let the guy out of Alaric. Without saying a word to each other, the two she-wolves dashed toward their mates. Cherise reached the pack warriors, who in turn barred her from getting nearly. They worried that she was another one, but as the young woman shifted and shouted, "He's my mate." The warriors quickly let her pass. Aiden was squashed between pack warriors who were trying to pull him away from Alaric. "Aiden, stop! Aurora needs you." Cherise weaved through the warriors and reach her mate and placed a hand on his shoulder. Her look at, along with those words, made Aiden deflate like a balloon. All the aggressiveness towards Alaric paused, and he turned and looked toward Aurora. He could see his father struggling to hold Aurora in place, while his mother could only stand there in human form with her hands over her mouth. "What am I doing? They need me!" Aiden grabbed Cherise's hand and sent an apologetic look at the warriors, who stepped out of the way for the duo to leave. The two break out in a sprint and reach Renee in no time. Aiden let go of his mate's hand and moved to smile his sobbing mother. Cherise also joined the smile as she watched Ren's struggles become weaker and weaker. Jason and Kent finally made it to the parking lot. Jason quickly scanned the mess and found his son. As he was going to dash toward Jace, Jace fell over and convulsed. Jason froze in shock, he barely heard anything as he and his wolf Trek moved forward toward Jace. The emotions felt suffocating as he watched the warriors rush to pin his son down. "Grrrrrrrrrr," Jason stalked towards the warriors and growled at them filled with aggression. 'Jason, calm down!' Kent quickly ordered Jason, using his authority as his alpha and superior to curb the feeling swirling in Jason. This wasn't the pack warrior's fault, he didn't need his beta trying to attack the pack warriors next. Jason paused and took a deep breath to suppress his wolf before shifting to human form and walking toward his still-convulsing son. Kent, who was still in wolf form behind, looked at the young wolf in the state he was in and felt pain radiating throughout his body. Kent knew if Jace was to fight off the warriors any longer, he would have been a corpse. He shifted to human form as Jason shakily looked at Jace's matted fur. 'Crack' Jace slowly began to shift into human form, that was the downside of using the sedatives. They would force any werewolf in wolf form into human form. They could do anything as Jace slowly morphed from wolf to human. The extent of his injuries was far worse in human form yet somehow Jace was still awake. "Daa... Dad," Jace choke, blood rolling down from the corner of his mouth. "K...ki...kill hi...him." "I'll fix this, son," Jason reassured Jace. |
