EVENT INFO :
Byrdfest is a weekend campout concert experience at an 800 acre campground on the Mulberry River in Arkansas. This is the the 14th year of Byrdfest and the 29th event in the series. There will be live music on Friday and Saturday from 3 pm to 2 am featuring an assortment of tribute bands and regional groups. There will also be a variety of merchandise and food vendors in the concert area. Everyone camps out together for the weekend while enjoying live music, swimming, and hanging out with friends.
VENUE INFO :
Byrds Adventure Center is an 800 acre campground facility located next to the Ozark National Forest in Ozark Arkansas. There are three miles of river frontage on the Mulberry River running through the property. The facility offers shaded camping, swimming, canoe float trips, general store, restaurant, electric camp sites, shower house, RV sites, and a stage for live music.

FROM KANSAS CITY :
71 south to 540 south (by Rogers) to 40 east to 23 north (at Ozark) to a right on Hwy 215 (a.k.a. Co. Rd. 83) for six miles.
FROM LITTLE ROCK :
40 west to 23 north (at Ozark) for 13 miles to a right on Hwy 215 (a.k.a. Co. Rd. 83) for six miles.

Ticket price is per person and includes camping, parking, and live music.
Camping is also available on the Wednesday and Thursday night of the event for $20 per person per night paid at the gate.
All ticket prices change at 9 a.m. each day.
Gates are open 24 hours a day during event.
One day tickets are only available for Saturday.
Children ages 10 and under are free.
Gates open on Wednesday September 11 at 12 pm.
Campground is cleared by 3 p.m. on Sunday September 15.

GRATEFUL DEAD EXPERIENCE :
THE SCHWAG
The Schwag is a group of musicians performing songs of The Grateful Dead. The group was founded in 1990 and has performed over 4000 concerts. This band has a working song list of over 200 songs by the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, and other related artists. The Schwag has had the privilege of playing with a long list of legendary musicians over the years. For a span of four years, band leader Jimmy Tebeau toured the country as the bass player for JGB (Jerry Garcia Band). The Schwag has opened for many notable acts including String Cheese Incident, Marshall Tucker Band, Leftover Salmon, Sammy Hagar, Little Feat, and Railroad Earth. Some of the guest musicians that have played with The Schwag over the years include Chuck Berry, Bill Nershi from String Cheese Incident, Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman from Leftover Salmon, Butch Trucks from The Allman Brothers Band, Fred Tacket from Little Feat, Mike Gordon from Phish, Doug Wimbish of Living Colour, and Vince Welnick from The Grateful Dead. Honorary band members for full Schwag shows include Merl Saunders, Melvin Seals, Johnnie Johnson, Jason & Travis & Kang from String Cheese Incident, and Devon Allman (Gregg’s son.) For many years, The Schwag has hosted its own “Schwagstock” and “Byrdfest” music festivals, drawing crowds of thousands several times per summer to enjoy shows from acts such as George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Keller Williams, Big Brother & the Holding Company, New Riders of the Purple Sage, and The Schwag. The band is still together after all these years performing a different show every night of high energy organic interpretations of the Grateful Dead’s music.

LED ZEPPELIN TRIBUTE :
THE ZEPPELIN PROJECT
The Zeppelin Project does what very few Led Zeppelin tribute bands do - Perform accurate (live) versions of the beloved studio recordings with an attention to detail that honors Zeppelin’s musical legacy. The Dallas-based band has performed at various venues, festivals, clubs, and events across Texas as well as the southwest including the Dallas House of Blues, Lava Cantina, and the Gas Monkey establishing them as one of the top tribute bands. This Doors tribute band from Wichita Kansas has been playing together for many years and has mastered this classic material or music utilizing authentic stage outfits and vintage instruments. They will be recreating the raw emotions one would expect to experience witnessing The Doors “absolutely live”!

CIRQUE DU FLAME
This group of talented pefromance artists have their own stage next to the mainstage at the Byrdfest events. They spin fire and a variety of flow props to entertain while the bands are performing. It all flows to the music providing a visual enhancement to the shows. Cirque Du Flame has been around a long time performing at events around the country and also providing instructional classes on flow performance and fire safety.

DISPLAY PYROTECHNICS
This is a professional fireworks display company with many years of experience. They have been launching fireworks at the Byrdfest and Schwagstock events since the beginning and have become a partner in the events. The fireworks shows at Byrdfest events last around 4 minutes and usually happen at the end of The Schwag shows around 11:30 pm.
