| Body | We were dancing and laughing when I felt arms wrapped around my waist and the voice whispered in my ear.<br /> "I have to have you." Then he k-ssed my neck. I turned around and saw a drunken Caleb looking at me with so much lust in his eyes.<br /> He's my boss, my good friend, off-limits, the man I realize I might be in love with.<br /> I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down. He took my hand and led me to his hotel room.<br /> We both have feelings for each other, but at this moment both seem oblivious to the fact that he has a "girlfriend".<br /> ————————<br /> Aaliyah's POV<br /> "Ring, Ring, Ring" Hearing my phone ring, I untucked my hand from my pillow and searched for my iPhone.<br /> "Hello" I say in a sleepy voice<br /> "Aaliyah, are you coming to dinner tonight?" My mom asked basically yelling at me through the phone.<br /> I sat up instantly "um yes I am, but mom can you please stop yelling it's to early." I say rubbing my eyes.<br /> "Okay and you should bring Caleb!" She says, sounding like she's smiling.<br /> "Mom why would I bring Caleb he is my boss, and he may have plans tonight with his girlfriend." I say getting out of bed.<br /> "Because I like him and ok baby whatever you say." She says<br /> "Okay well, I have to get ready for work I'll see you as soon as I get off work I love you." I say walking into my closet.<br /> "Okay bye Liyah see you tonight and I love you too." And that being said, the line went dead.<br /> I started pulling out clothes from my closet because I didn't know what I wanted to wear. I hopped in the shower, after letting the hot water run down my body for a good 30 minutes, I decided to wash my body and get dressed.<br /> I decided on a black pencil skirt that comes just above my knee, zips on the side, and shows my curves really well, and for my shirt I had on a red tank top under my white sheer blouse, and for shoes I decided on red pumps and red and silver jewelry to tie my whole outfit together.<br /> ....<br /> I'm sitting in my office organizing these papers in alphabetical order when my co-worker and friend Matt walk smiling.<br /> "Hey Aaliyah guess what!" Matt says sitting across from me<br /> "What you finally gave your v-rginity away." I say laughing<br /> "Yea I gave my v-rginity away when I was twelve." He says smirking at me<br /> "You hoe bag, but what's up." I say sitting back in my chair.<br /> "Girl guess who Mr. Harrington chose to go on this trip with him to Paris!" He says smiling<br /> I was about to say something when "Ms. Green, Mr. Wright, Mr. Duncan, and Ms. Stiles to my office now!" Mr. Harrington says on the phone where the floor can hear him. Matt and I both get up and walk into to his office followed by Kelly and John.<br /> "Tomorrow we're to Paris for 5 days, so when you get off today go home and pack and prepare yourselves for a long trip to Paris." Mr. Harrington says not looking at us, we turned around and was about to leave when "except you Ms. Green I need you to stay." He said looking at me.<br /> I stood there while the others kept to the door "Li don't let me come back and see you pinned on his desk." Matt said giving me a smirk closing the door, I laughed. "Have a seat Aaliyah." Mr. Harrington said pointing to a seat, I sat down across from him wanting to know why I was asked to stay.<br /> "Um... Mr. Harrington why did I have to stay, I got work to do." I say looking at him waiting for him to answer me. He looked at me and smiled then leaned back in his chair, "cut the Mr. Harrington act Aaliyah everyone else is gone." He said still smiling at me.<br /> "Okay Caleb what do you need?" I asked a little irritated because he was wasting my time.<br /> "I just wanted to let you know that Arabella is coming and to make sure everyone's flight is set for tomorrow afternoon." He said putting his feet on his desk.<br /> "Well I will make sure everyone's flight is set and you find someone to replace me until you get back." I said smirking, he looked at me and frowned.<br /> "Why would I need to do that, your coming right?" He said with somewhat of am attitude<br /> "No I will not be coming if Arabella is going." I say standing up, he gets up as well and he looks pissed "and why not?" He said almost raising his voice.<br /> "She doesn't like me and I don't like her, that's why." I said walking towards the door "your coming and she doesn't like that we're close but she will get over it." He says walking up to me, I sighed "fine but I hope I don't get arrested in Paris!" I say walking out of his office.<br /> 2 hours later...<br /> "Yes, sir, I will make sure he is there on time and that everything goes smoothly."<br /> "Li we need to talk." Matt says walking into my office and sitting down, I put up my index finger telling him to hold on, "Okay thank you and you have a good day." I say then hang up the phone.<br /> "what's the matter Matt." I asked, putting my head down on my desk.<br /> "Does Arabella know you and our s-xy boss slept together 6 months ago?" He said basically telling him to leave, Matt looked at him and then back at me "okay boss man I'm going, and Li tell momma Green I'm coming to dinner tonight for some of her famous chicken spaghetti ." He said walking out the door.<br /> "So you wasn't going to invite me to dinner, knowing your mom loves me." Caleb said acting as if he was hurt.<br /> "I was but I didn't know if you had plans or not." I say with a smirk, thinking I got one over on him.<br /> "Oh don't play me Liyah, but I will love to come to dinner, so tell mom I'll be coming to dinner." He says with a devilish smile. I just leaned back in my chair and sighed "why do you wanna have dinner with my family knowing you have a girlfriend who hates our friendship?" I asked while packing up my desk to leave since I get off in 5 minutes.<br /> "I love your mom and I don't care you were here before her so like I said tell your mom I'm coming to dinner." He said with a smirk then walked out.<br /> ....<br /> Aaliyah's mother's house<br /> I just pulled into my mom's drive way when my phone started ringing not looking at the caller ID I just answered the phone "Hello" while grabbing my purse and getting out of the car.<br /> "Hey Aaliyah it's Dwayne, how are you?" Right after he said Dwayne I hung up the phone because I haven't talked to him since he cheated on me which was 2 years ago. I walked up to my moms door and rung the door bell. The swung open revealing my bestfriend Shay.<br /> "Liyah boo I missed you where have you been!" She says excitedly as I walk in the house with Shay still hugging me, "I just been working and redoing my condo." I say laughing because she hasn't let me go yet. Shay let's go when we hear the door bell, I opened the door to Matt rubbing his stomach.<br /> "Li where is the food I'm starving." He says walking through the door<br /> "Hey b-tch!" "I told her before she left the office I was coming, because Matt said you were making chicken spaghetti, is it ready."<br /> My mom and Caleb walked in the dinning room smiling, "Aaliyah Roxanne Green why didn't you tell me that Caleb was coming?" My mom says while Caleb came and sat next to me, "mom I'm sorry it slipped my mind."<br /> After dinner we was talking and laughing "mom, Derrick, and Shay?" I say trying to get their attention. "Tomorrow I'm going on a business trip to Paris and will be gone for a week, so Shay can house sit for me?" I say talking to my mom, brother, and bestfriend.<br /> "Yes I can house sit but don't come back with no French man." Shay said laughing, "she won't have time." Caleb said a little defensive and everybody caught on "woah boss man a little defensive I see." Matt says and they start laughing. "I'm just saying we all will be working, since I'm expanding my company." Caleb says trying to cover up being defensive.<br /> After talking and laughing everyone left and we all went our separate ways. I'm headed home to pack and get some sleep.<br /> ....<br /> I woke up around 5 this morning to make sure I had every thing. "Help me understand why she is coming on this trip anyway!" John asked as we sat down. "I bet money it's because Aaliyah is coming on this trip." Kelly said putting her feet up in the chair, I was about to say something when Caleb and Arabella stepped on the plane. "Hey is everybody ready?" Arabella said smiling at us sitting next to Caleb, no responded so I broke the silence "we're good__" "oh Aaliyah I didn't see you there." I say to her with a devilish smile, everyone started laughing but from the look on Caleb and Arabella's face they didn't think it was funny. Caleb looked at me and mouthed 'stop' because we both knew where this was going.<br /> After a 2 hours of being on this plane their has been 2 heated arguments, Matt and Arabella and me and Arabella. Matt and I went to the back of the plane to talk and to get away from Arabella before I slap the sh-t outta her. "If I wasn't a man I promise you I would have been slapped that hoe, because she got to much mouth." Matt says leaning back in the chair "I know I can't take that b-tch no more." John and Kelly said sitting where we are.<br /> ————<br /> Caleb's POV<br /> "Can you please stop fighting with Aaliyah and my employees? I didn't bring you on this trip so you could start drama, so cut it and I mean now." Why go start a fight with my assistant?" I asked walking towards our hotel room kitchen.<br /> "Because the way you look at her. How you two can laugh and joke about everything, and the fact that she is beautiful." She says looking at her hands, I poured me a glass of scotch and sat down across from Arabella.<br /> "Aaliyah and I can laugh and joke about everything because that's our personality, and because she is a happy person and because she is beautiful that gives you a right to almost fight her." I scream getting irritated with this who dmn conversation.<br /> " No don't you dare defend her, and because she goes on every business trip. She met your family, you met her family and I still haven't met your family." She screamed with tears in her eyes, I sighed and leaned my head back because this conversation isn't going anywhere and I need to prepare my mind for the week. "Baby I'm sorry, but starting a fight with her was wrong. You can meet my family as soon as we get back from Paris, but I cannot have you fighting Aaliyah I need her focused on the company." I say holding her hand, she looks at me and smiles "Okay and no more fighting." I just ordered Matt and I some food when there's a knock at the door. I opened the door to a smiling Matt with a bottle of w-ne. "Hey Li ready for a party." He says walking into my room, "hey and I just ordered us some pizza, wings, and garlic bread." He asked turning on Luke cage, I was about to say something when we hear a knock at the door. He says holding my hand, "I have too because this going back and fourth with Arabella is to much and I'll rather not deal with it." He says smiling at me.<br /> After that we just watched Luke Cage and chilled, after the last episode Matt decided to leave and I decided to go to bed. I cleaned up, hopped in the shower and then laid down. As soon as I closed my eyes there was a knock at my door. I opened the door to Caleb.<br /> "What are you doing here?" I asked a little annoyed<br /> "I came to check on you." He says with a confused look<br /> "Why I'm fine but since your here we do need to talk." I say ushering him to come in. He looks at me with a raised eyebrow but came in and looked at me. "I've decided that we shouldn't be friends anymore and that me just being your assistant is enough." I say waiting for him to respond.<br /> "What? Why?" He asked walking over to me, I put my hand up and stopped him "because I cannot keep dealing with the drama with Arabella and I will not." <br /> I say taking a step back, but he just steps closer "why are you doing I handled that. You don't have to do this." He says grabbing my hand, I just walked to the door <br /> "I've made my decision, I'll make sure we have everything for the week now you can you leave please." I say opening the door, he walked to the door with a confused and sad look then walked out.<br /> ————<br /> Caleb's POV<br /> Walking out of Aaliyah's hotel room I'm still trying to understand why she doesn't want to be my friend anymore, I going to ask Matt tomorrow. |
