How I took control of Multiple Sclerosis

Many WOMEN WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS wish there was more they could do to look after their health.

They don’t like waiting so long between each neurologist's appointment to find out ways to support themselves. Even then, they often leave without practical advice for everyday life with MS.

And I don’t blame them.

My name is Karen Dwyer and I’ve lived MS symptom free for 8 years. I have won Best Health & Wellbeing Coach of the Year for Ireland 2022, Best company of the Year 2021 & gave a TEDx talk about my experience with MS. I am the host of ‘Talk Healing to Me Podcast, Stories for Women with MS’. I’ve helped over 800 women with MS to better health.

Although things are great for me now, things were once much different. I was challenged by not knowing what to do to help myself to prevent further progression.

I joined online groups and read some posts and comments only to feel more frightened of what might be down the line for me.

I tried different approaches to nutrition and gave up shortly after and felt like a failure.
There were lots of potions online but how did I know they wouldn't make me feel worse than I already was. I certainly didn’t want to waste money either. I already felt like a burden to my partner (but didn’t know where to turn for help).

I just wanted to KNOW that I was doing everything I could for myself and my future health. I just wanted to think of the future without anxiety and feel normal again.

But after many failed attempts following different approaches I found online, and trying for years, I made an unexpected discovery.

I discovered things I could do myself whilst waiting for the next doctor's appointment. They improved my health and energy levels. I started feeling so good that I realized I wasn’t thinking about my MS so much everyday.

I was able to get back to things I loved doing. I felt confident that I was doing what I needed to do for myself. I trusted myself again and had a proper plan in place for my everyday health.

Naturally, I was surprised by my own results. Word got out and people reached out to me to help them with their MS. So I told them everything I was doing.

And to my delight, it worked for most of them!

Obviously, there’s no single solution that works for everyone, but I was so happy that this worked so well even for my most skeptical participants. It even worked for those where MS runs in their family or people who had tried almost everything to take control with little to show for their efforts.

I knew I was onto something. And since then, I’ve been able to help hundreds with this same discovery.

And because I’m on a mission to help women with MS realize they can influence their health so they can get back to living the life they deserve...

I feel it’s my duty to share this discovery with everyone who can benefit!
